Toys-R-Us is offering up a buy one, get one 40% off deal on a ton of video games, and Thames was kind enough to point out that this includes next-gen preorders. That means you can get two upcoming games like Watch Dogs, Titanfall, or Destiny locked in for about $96. That's tough to beat. Tons of other games are also available, so feel free to shop around. If you're not dead set on Dead Rising 3, don't dead fret: There's a new demo on the Xbox Games Store with your name on it. Hop to the New Game Demos section to check it out. Also, publisher Microsoft revealed details on the game's first piece of story DLC, "Operation Eagle." A Microsoft spokesperson told Joystiq the DLC will be available on December 24.

First, the demo: It restricts you to a 20-minute sojourn at Los Perdidos, but if you want another go by the end of it, you can. Each Gamertag can take the demo for a spin two times, but no more than that.

As for Operation Eagle, as the name suggests there's a Federal air to the storyline: The President of the United States is missing, and your mission as Spec Ops Commander Adam Kane is to find her - or, as Microsoft's press release puts it, "capture" her. Sounds a bit like an undead version of 24 - or as it's otherwise known, Live Another Day.

The Operation Eagle mission features five new weapons, a new combo weapon, a new vehicle, and of course some new rags to wear. It's the first of four major pieces of DLC announced for Dead Rising 3, all available via the $30 season pass. If you just want in for Operation Eagle, its standalone tag is $10.

Unhappy Xbox One owners report they are able to receive refunds from Microsoft.

Multiple Xbox One owners are reporting on the Battlefield forums that after speaking with Microsoft Support, they were able to receive refunds for their $50 Battlefield 4 Premium subscriptions. It is not clear, however, if the refunds are being offered in a limited capacity or to anyone who asks for one.

The reasons for wanting a refund are obvious. Battlefield 4's launch has been marred by server woes, with some Xbox One owners reporting difficulty downloading the recent China Rising expansion.

As you would expect, it appears that getting a refund for Battlefield 4 means you'll have to relinquish the perks associated with the Battlefield 4 Premium subscription--including access to map packs, priority server position, and double XP events.
However, one user says on Twitter he was able to maintain all the Battlefield 4 Premium perks even after receiving a full refund. We've reached out to Electronic Arts for the official company position on the matter and will update the story if we hear back.

It is unclear if Sony is also offering Battlefield 4 Premium refunds for the PlayStation 3 or PlayStation 4 version of the game. The PS4 version has been hit especially hard by server woes, though DICE just today released a new update that promises to boost general stability.

The 25 Highest Earning Youtube Stars

Want to find a career that pays a ton of money? Forget applying for a job at Goldman Sachs. Forget law school. Forget killing your body trying to become a professional athlete. Thanks to the internet, there is now a profession that allows you to make millions of dollars all from the comfort of your own home. And the best thing is, all you need is a video camera, something to say and a Youtube account. How is that possible? In case you didn't know, if your YouTube channel has enough followers, you can actually make money every time someone watches one of your videos. And if your followers watch tons of videos, it can translate into hundreds of thousands and perhaps even millions of dollars in your bank account!

Here's how it works: Have you ever tried to watch a video on Youtube but before it plays you need to watch a commercial? That's called a pre-roll. Every 1000 times a pre-roll advertisement is shown, Youtube gets paid some amount of money. The amount can vary but typically Youtube is paid between $20 and $25 for every thousand ad views. This is called a CPM. This is exactly how CelebrityNetWorth makes money as well, except our CPMs are nowhere near $25, because we think pre-roll commercials are really annoying.

When a Youtube channel has enough followers, the owner of the account can apply to become a member of their Partner Program. Youtube Partners earn a cut of the CPM earned off the videos in their channel. Typically a Youtube Partner earns a $7 CPM. That means, for every 1000 an advertisement is shown on their channel, the Partner earns $7 (and Youtube takes the remaining ($18). Assuming a Partner's video has one million views and every single viewer watched a pre-roll advertisement, the Partner would earn $7000 (1 million divided by 1000 * $7). That's a very rough example. In reality, for a variety of reasons you would never show a pre-roll to every single visitor. For example, many ads are only targeted at people in the United States. So just how much money can you make off Youtube? If you're one of Youtube's biggest stars, you can make a ton! It's a good deal for Youtube because these Partners are driving billions of video views and giving people to come every day. Below is a list of the 25 highest earning Youtube stars. Their earnings may inspire you to quit your job and start making home movies! Also keep in mind these numbers don't even include additional sources of revenue like merchandise, licensing, affiliate programs and sponsorships. These numbers are just how much these stars are making off their hundreds of millions of videos views…

Nintendo might have to cut its losses and focus on its hand held division only..... Maybe fall back and release another home system in 4-5 years when there is less competition and they can get the new system boost.

I think they should release another system in 2015.

That Toby dude is on the list twice. :smh:

I met that dude for my job on a Call of Duty launch. I didn't know who he was.
We were gonna validate his parking at the end of the night and this fool pulled out a knot and said, "I'm good."

Later on, I see he's one of Youtube's biggest channels. :smh:

How Much Do YouTubers Make? The Top 25 Earning Creators’ Adsense Salaries Revealed [Infographic]

In recent years, hundreds of YouTubers have earned fame and fortune — million dollar fortunes — solely through their work on their YouTube channels. For those on the outside, it seems so simple: create and upload YouTube videos ranting about life or of pranks being pulled on innocent bystanders, have people tune in to watch the videos, and bam, next thing you know you’re buying a house next to Reese Witherspoon in Beverly Hills.

But in reality, becoming one of the top creators on YouTube takes consistency, a nonstop work schedule and a growing audience that have chosen to spend their valuable time watching your videos instead of the millions of others found on YouTube. But the rise to million-dollar salaries has taken all of these creators years to generate through their video-making hard work.

From data exclusively supplied by YouTube analytics platform Social Blade, the infographic depicts the average low and high salaries of the top 25 earning creators solely based on the Adsense of their YouTube channels, or cost per thousand impressions (CPM). Each creator earning was calculated by taking the number of video views on the channel between January 1, 2012 to December 20, 2012 and multiplying it by the average low CPM of 70 cents and average high CPM of $7 to find the estimated total low earnings and total high earnings. The estimated earnings numbers do not include additional revenue earned from the creators’ outside brand deals, sponsorships, affiliate campaigns or any other income-earning ventures. The infographic also includes the estimated Adsense revenue of the top three YouTube networks/studios, the top three Vevo channels and the no. 1 earning YouTube channel overall.

Anyone else feel like they got into the wrong profession? Yeah, me too.

Don’t be so hasty to chastise DICE over Battlefield 4‘s numerous launch issues, says former gameplay designer at DICE.

Now a game designer with Rovio, he is quick to defend DICE’s efforts on the game, noting that the problems surrounding it are not a result of any laziness or complacency on the part of the developer, but rather that the issue lies in a place higher than the devs. You can the tweets below:

This alludes to the implication that publisher EA may be a culprit in pushing the game for release earlier than was ready, resulting in a mish-mash of problems at launch that continue to this day.

This isn’t the first time such claims were made. An anonymous QA tester corroborated this idea just last month, stating the Swedish developer was being forced to rush the game in order to beat Call of Duty to market.
