The Zimmerman Trial: Justice for Trayvon! (Let's discuss it)

Trial was a sham.
White jury (plus the 1 Mexican) was a sham.
Prosecution team was a sham.
Volunteer black Zimmerman lawyer is a coon. :smh:

The shit went exactly like Zimmerman said. He saw someone who fit the description of who's been robbing the neighborhood. He called the cops. He got out the car and followed close to see where e was going. Lost him.

Heads back. Trayvon looped around and attacked him. Put a handy whopping on him and beat his head in the concrete.

George had a gun though. He used it.

He told the same story in the beginning and it never changed.

Trays fam started out knowing this. Once the race baiters came in they figured they could get a little revenge out of it. They tailored their story.

They REALLY fucked up when they decided to put an illiterate bitch on the stand as their star witness tryin to explain that she was on the phone w Trayvon and she heard Zimmerman approaching him. She was so full of shit and too stupid to even lie good. She thought she could leave in the fact that he called GZ a "creepy ass cracka" and that wouldn't have an effect in the jury.

It could've at least been a manslaughter charge but the blatant lies told by the family vs discrepancies in memory or sequence in George's deposition w the Sanford detectives was ridiculous. I think that jury knew a few days ago.

Unfortunately Trayvon wasn't the person Zimmerman was lookin for. But he did handle it completely wrong. He didn't know where he was and who he was dealing with.

I wonder if the kids who DID rob that place feel any remorse for Trayvon since it was their profile that set this whole thing up.

Actually I know they don't.

:smh: Did you mean to type that, really. You do realize that if the other person is dead the only word people have to go on is yours. Only two people know what happened that night, Trayvon and George. If Trayvon is dead, George can customize the story to his liking. So George doesn't have to change the story, there is NO ONE who can argue it.

"You gonna die tonight" .... sounds like something out of a Rambo movie BUT we have to believe it since Trayvon is not around to dispute. George has no reason to change his story, he's the only one who can tell it, with a few holes and lies here and there.

This case is bringing out the fucked up thought processes in people.

It's like it purged the stupidity out

Homie said the other black kids caused Trayvon to be profiled

Well then that should go for cops too right?

Blacks are criminals, so fuck all the rest, pay for the deeds of our people while whites say "we were not there in slavery, or Jim Crow"
or any other fuckery

I'm tripping on the "race baiters" comment. Really? Especially given the context of the case.

Never mind how absurd the whole concept of "race baiting" is in the first place.

Based off the actual event, the verdict and the real reason people became interested in this trial (Black and Non Black)....yea....obviously racism and the infatuation with skin color is alive and well.

I cant exploit Trayvons death because of some deep rooted hatred that I have toward other people. At the end of the day a child lost his life over some bs. At even after the verdict..thats the only thing that saddens me.

As for what Black people should do to prevent this from happening again? Well all that you can do is train yourselves and your children on how to handle situations like those. You have to literally have a plan. Thug clothes or not....youre a target..EVEN AMONGST YOUR OWN PEOPLE.... based off your skin tone alone.

it took public outrage and protests JUST to get the prosecutor to press charges against zimmerman to bring this to trial.

and you thought it would be an easy case?

a two-sided story can bring an argument for the jury to decide. but only two people know EXACTLY what happened that night and one of them is dead.

so, the burden of proof is much, much harder with only 1 version of the events. the state didn't have a counter-argument; their client is dead.

and the witnesses brought forward by the prosecution, esp. that young lady was laughable, at best. that whole prosecution team was a 'disgrace.' and that's what the defense lawyers called them... a "disgrace." :smh::smh::smh:

understand this, if you don't do anything else.

the jury did not find zimmerman, "innocent" of any crimes.

the state just did NOT bring enough evidence and/or tie enough evidence together to REMOVE reasonable doubt for self defense... so the jury found him, "not guilty."

that's how our system works; it worked EXACTLY that way for OJ.

the jury probably did NOT believe zimmerman's version of the story, but the only story told was his... bc Trayvon is dead and the witnesses were weak.

remember, the defense doesn't have to say shit... they can remain quiet the whole time. and with that weak prosecution team... this case was a slam dunk.

the prosecution was absolutely incompetent, inept, and un-prepared... from the witnesses to their rebuttals. the ONLY thing they did decent was the closing argument, but by then, it's too late.

Trayvon should not have attacked anybody, he may have been suckered into conflict by this guy. Hopefully, the civil trial will flush that out. Him playing ignorant about self defense laws when he got an A raises red flags.

I dont believe GZ would roll up on somebody and shoot; however, he could have set him up by starting an argument with a loaded pistol.

The HOA should have sent him to patrol the banks which have decimated the FL economy with subprime loans.

He should have found a white person suspicious when applying for a loan, they steal 1000x more with their sophisticated tricks and scams. The people in Sanford lost 1000x from a bankster or company than any thief taking a TV.

Justice Department WILL now investigate George Zimmerman as pressure builds on Obama administration to act following his controversial acquittal

By James Nye

PUBLISHED: 11:30 EST, 14 July 2013 | UPDATED: 16:08 EST, 14 July 2013

In a move which could have dramatic ramifications, the Justice Department confirmed today that it will look into the shooting death of Trayvon Martin to determine whether federal prosecutors should file criminal charges against George Zimmerman in the wake of his acquittal.

The department opened an investigation into Martin's death last year but stepped aside to allow the state prosecution to proceed.

In a statement Sunday, the Justice Department said the criminal section of the civil rights division, the FBI and the U.S. Attorney's office for the Middle District of Florida are continuing to evaluate the evidence generated during the federal probe, in addition to the evidence and testimony from the state trial.

The statement said that, in the government's words, 'experienced federal prosecutors will determine whether the evidence reveals a prosecutable violation.'

Outraged: NAACP President and CEO Benjamin Todd Jealous (center) has launched a petition to have federal civil rights charges brought against George Zimmerman by Attorney General Eric Holder

This moves follows demands from a furious NAACP for the Obama administration to intervene.

Already, over 100,000 people have signed up to an online petition and the NAACP has written a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder urging the Department of Justice to press civil rights charges against 29-year-old Zimmerman.

In his first public statement since the verdict, President Barack Obama called for calm on Sunday after the acquittal of George Zimmerman in the fatal shooting of unarmed black teenager Trayvon Martin, saying his death was a tragedy and that the country should seek ways to stem gun violence.

'We are a nation of laws and a jury has spoken,' Obama, the first black U.S. president, said in a statement.

'I now ask every American to respect the call for calm reflection from two parents who lost their young son.'

It's easy to just blame the prosecutors and not the jury. For one the system was on the defenses side. Which is out of the ordinary. Yet we know there are black defendants put away with even less evidence and with a lot doubt. This case just shows we are reverting back to Jim Crow were niggas best know there place because there is no justice for you.

not sure if you've been following the trial because he changed his story MORE THAN A FEW TIMES.

it was several different scenarios that zimmerman said out of his own mouth on tape...

how you come in here with this post and this shit dude?

no idea.

Revelations like a mutha in this thread. exiled in here sounding like Clarence Thomas. :smh:

This is what I ultimately keep going back to & was saying to Dray when he was very vocal about the fuckery going on. The State could've presented a perfect case & it wouldn't have mattered. The skepticism in all Blacks believe GZ was always going to be found not guilty.

Honestly, listening to the jurors affirm their decision...only one sounded clear, concise, & confident in her yes. The other 5 sounded scared, ashamed, rushed, & like they were reluctant. In the end, we don't get the benefit of the doubt...we get the short end of the stick all the time.

Dear George Zimmerman,

For the rest of your life you are now going to feel what its like to be a black man in America.

You will feel people stare at you. Judging you for what you think are unfair reasons. You will lose out on getting jobs for something you feel is outside of your control. You will believe yourself to be an upstanding citizen and wonder why people choose to not see that.

People will cross the street when they see you coming. They will call you hurtful names. It will drive you so insane some days that you'll want to scream at the top of your lungs. But you will have to wake up the next day, put on firm look and push through life.

I bet you never thought that by shooting a black male you'd end up inheriting all of his struggles.

Enjoy your "freedom."

Sincerely,

A black male who could've been Trayvon Martin

Nope.

Not just black people who feel this. Imagine you're of Asian origin after 9/11 - nothing to do with you but the whole of America turns on you through no fault of your own.

I'm glad other people are taking notes........

His position is the exact reason Zimmerman felt Trayvon was a criminal

A kid is dead and he still is of the same belief.
