Fucking GA (Cobb County) tried to deny a brother his "Stand Your Ground" rights recently.

The guy had to shoot a man who was on his property illegally. The initially did not charge him based on Stand Your Ground, but then turned around and charged him and sentenced him to jail.

He was in jail for a while, but recently got released earlier this year after the Trayvon Martin issue happened. :smh:

The verdict for this trial says so much about this country, the justice system and race.
About 12 hours before the verdict i was channel surfing and stopped on Fox news. One of the commentators
stated Zimmerman should have never left his car and followed Trayvon.A female commentator stated well Trayvon shouldnt have hit Zimmerman. So does that mean if she's walking home and someone is following her
she's not going to turn around and confront the person?!?
We all would have done the same as Trayvon.
If you dont have an ache in your heart for Trayvon and his family, you dont have a soul.

White opinions. :smh: They are truly crazy. We should have never let them get this much power.

So let me get this straight, and please correct me if I'm wrong because I'm one of the few people that did not follow this trial closely.......

Trayvon is walking home at night, Zimmerman sees him and calls 911 about a suspicious character in the neighborhood, the dispatcher advises him not to follow or try to engage because the cops are being dispatched, Zimmerman ignores the advice (which apparently is legal to do) and pursues Trayvon anyway, Zimmerman confronts Trayvon and during the confrontation he ends up taking an ass whipping, because he's getting his ass beat he pulls out a gun and shoots Trayvon. Trayvon ends up dying. Zimmerman's defense for the shooting is then he felt threatened and as a consequence he beats a murder rap for a confrontation that he initiated. Oh and it turns out that there was no cause for alarm in the first place because Trayvon was just walking home from the store after buying candy....

Does this sum up essentially what happened?

Sounds about right

6 white female jurors. Trayvon's friend, Jentiel (sp), said Trayvon said he was being followed by a "creepy ass cracker". That couldn't have helped. However, it's not like he said "cracka ass cracka". :)

Sometimes the basic facts alone say so much......

easily should have been manslaughter....easily...

You stupid motherfuckers still on that fuck all white women because 6 stupid white broads fucked up on the verdict? Shit is almost unbelievable that some people actually believe like this. Zimmerman gonna get what's coming to him, but some of you cats are hateful and blind as fucking bats.

Another white savior.

Let's see. We've had calls for:

1. Jesus
2. The Punisher
3. Dexter

Just keeping count. Don't mind me.

For god sakes get off the militant shit. Nobody is looking for a white savior. You know this pic is in jest. Would you have rather me put up a pic of sergeant Doke's?

Poot, who the fuck said something about all white women because of these 6? Some of you cats rush to YT's defense even when there's nothing to defend. :smh:

I think the issue is we are so disorganized without one collective voice. Also we do not have a clear list of demands with consequences that are not met

I jotted some demands and ideas down and ill post them once I get to a computer

I also think we need a new voice and organization lead by younger people...and importantly lead by a young impactful leader to emobilize our youth

Does anyone have any advice on who I can send these demand ideas to...also how can/should this new voice/organization be started

Take a look at the org called color of change.

IMO, the case was over when the state's witness said on the stand that under Florida law a person can start a fight, be losing, & use deadly force to defend themselves. How can the state ever win in this situation (assuming the defendant isn't Black)? If all that needs to be there in a case of self defense is for the defendant to "perceive" that his life is in danger...how do you ever disprove a mental state?

And there you have it.

In Texas we have what's called 'provoking the difficulty', which means that if you start a situation, and find yourself losing, you can not then use self defense unless you first try to retreat.....

The Texas law sounds far more reasonable.

One of the more reasonable laws in Texas. I'm surprised Rick Perry with the help of the legislature hasn't tried to change this yet.

Yeah, I don't know the name for it, but we have the same thing for it in Ohio. We can't even contribute by escalating the situation even if we don't start it. People are concentrating on STG and forgetting to look at the BASIC self defense laws of their states.

Some states make self-defense too difficult, while others make murder too easy.

The media couldn't stop talking about STG long enough to put Florida's basic self-defense laws on blast.
