Sooo.....I made the switch to the S3...

Major shoutout to Famous one for helping me root my phone and get my wifi tethering working.

Anyone who's help me technically know you must have patience  and he did.

Thanks so much and when you have time we finish the other stuff.

glad i could help.

Nope... but T-Mobile (the bastards) limit you to 500mb and you have to pay for the service.

You basically are forced to root if you want to use wifi tethering free of charge if you have an unlimited data plan with t-mobile. :smh:

My s4 started showing "4G LTE" today. First time I ever seen that. :D

I installed 4.1.2 the other day on my note 2 and it said lte. I was like :dance:.

Definite improvement in speed. I get 31mbps down and 13mbps up when I tested with 2 bars signal. That's almost double what I got on my s3 4g.

The best part... I get that signal in my crib. :D ... I can't wait to root and tether once my replacement s4 come in the mail.

Hey can anyone tell me how to record a voice memo on the phone? I know it can be done. For instance if I want to send record a message and send it to someone, what would I use?

I've never used it, but there's a Voice Record app.
I would think you just use it to make a recording and then attach the file and send via text message, email, etc.

edit: she says it's done with s-memo. just record and then send it via text or email, etc.

On my version of android I have an app called Sound Recorder, you should have that, comes with the phone, possibly from Samsung or a Google app.

Does anyone incoming text using Handcent ever seem to duplicate? Mine does it a lot and it's very irritating?

I personally use GoSMS. You may try disabling normal sms notifications? Is it you're receiving the text from normal sms and handcent? Or just two messages at a time from handcent?

Yeah if the message is too long it does that, but I haven't figure out a way to stop it besides shortening the message.

I've deleted all of them but "Dragon Empire" installed itself today:(

you have malware partna....the reason you don't realize it is because it's not actually on your phone it's on some other device that you use.--- i.e. the malware on your laptop is logged into your google account and installing shit on your phone..change the your google account password and see if that stops it...

I just recently switched from the HTC one to the galaxy note s3. I was not a fan of Samsung's ui. Due to owning a galaxy tab. But I've gotten used to it. Though I probably won't use all the features the note 3 has to offer

my earbuds that came with the phone have died. anybody suggest any replacements that aint expensive? because every new pair i buy dont sound anywhere close to the same as those that came with the phone. so far the ones i've tried have cost up to 20$ but the bass aint close to how the originals sound.

Man just go ahead and buy a nice wireless pair now because they all will continue to break. Before you know it, you'd waste 100+ dollars. Went to best buy and copped me some wireless Bose joints for 200.

These Monoprice earbuds are the best sounding earbuds for their price. Arguably beating out other earbuds at 10 times the price.
$8
They are not super bass heavy which is fine with me because I use PowerAmp's EQ to my liking.

Use these Foam Tips for extra comfort.
