Game Of Thrones: The Sopranos with swords or Dynasty in chainmail?

Since the season went off I've been reading a lot about the events that occur before where the show starts and was thinking the same thing. Probably won't happen though because of costs and re-cast (since every character would have to be 20 years younger in the prequal)

Animated would be fine with me

Dude was a handsome prince and all but why would she run away with the dude after his father killed her brother and her father. The Starks don't play that shit

nah, i thought the story went something like,

the starks thought she got kidnapped by the prince. so they went to kl

to holla @ the king, & thats when he shit went down.

they(starks & baratheons) probley couldnt imagine her dipping off with the prince.

seeing as how she was supposed to marry robert b. they may have falsely

accused the prince of stealing the bitch. she had that shit robbie s. had!

Correct...Lyanna was in Sansa position as first daughter of Lord Stark but was more like Arya (rebellious)

Was it implied in the book that she was raped and kidnapped or was it stated definitevely?

Why would I go to a thread containing spoilers when I haven't read the books only to receive an answer to a question which wouldn't contain a spoiler?
Because it would be in good taste to refrain from asking about book plots and storylines in a thread dedicated to the TV show alone.

Asking about a book detail effectively does a few things; 1) ruins the book for those of us who plan on reading it at some point 2) gives away possible spoilers for future revelations that have not yet been revealed on the show 3) goes against whats been constantly discussed in this thread.

This is a TV show thread. Where we discuss whats happpened on the show and what we speculate may happen based on what we have been shown in the show. Asking for book tips can effectively ruin that experience.

Honestly, i dont see why its so hard to understand.

As far as the characters in the book and show know, she was kidnapped and raped. The only person who may have known any different was ned cuz he was the last person to see her alive.

Her being carried off by the prince is what set the chain of events that got her bro and pop killed, not the other way around.

That's a lot of bullshit rules that you made up.

This is a non spoiler T.V. Show thread which means we don't or shouldn't discuss anything that hasn't occured or could potentially occur in future episodes/seasons.

The question I asked was already addressed and discussed in the first season of the show. I simply asked for an already discussed event to be clarified. Also considering the show is going in sequential order and each season is based on a particular book there is very little chance that they are somehow going to double back and re-do book one in an up coming season.

I like you haven't read the books so I don't want any potential future storylines or events spoiled in this thread (which is what the other thread is for). However discussing things that haven't appeared in the show but is already a past event based on where the show is now and can in no way spoil anything in the future is fair game in this thread.

If you personally feel that nothing from the books should be discussed until you get around to reading the books then you might want to start your own "Super-Duper Absolutely Nothing But The Show Discussion Thread (No Book, TV Show, Speculation, Spoiler Discussion Thread)".

They NEED to do this prequel!

I Stopped reading after this because you solidified my point. That being the case, why discuss something that occurred in the book that will eventually be revealed in the show? If you wanna discuss what happened in the book go to the fucking book thread. Has nothing to do with bullshit rules i create. Its a common courtesy that isnt that hard to pay. Its really that simple. Do it or dont do it but understand that its ho shit to continue to reference and request book storylines in the TV thread where cats have repeatedly asked that you refrain from doing so.

They NEED to do this prequel!

why? there would be no suspense since we would already know who dies and who survives. besides grmm's ass needs to be writing those last 2 books, and not gettin distracted.

You stopped reading after.................yet you quoted the first and last statements from my post:lol::lol::lol:

If you were able to read the last sentence then I'm pretty sure you were able to read what preceded it. You just weren't able to come up with a valid rebuttal so you've decided to do the old "I didn't read anything you wrote" trick:lol:

I've used that same tactic countless times on this board when I knew someone had just "Red Wedding'd" my whole argument.

But lets be honest: of course you read. I bet you heard the Lannister theme song start to play and that feeling of dread hit you once you realized I was right and it hit you that you didn't have any reason to disagree with what I wrote.

Its all good brother its not that deep. Either we agree or don't but just know that at least when it comes to me and this particular argument you were simply wrong. I've never once posted a spoiler or requested one be posted. In fact I've been one of the main ones arguing against it in this thread.

I would only say to end this that it has never been said or agreed that we couldn't or wouldn't discuss the book in this thread at all. What has been said is that we wouldn't or shouldn't discuss anything that appears in the book that can possibly spoil something that will happen in future eoisodes/seasons. Any non spoiler book material that has already happened at this point in the story and can't spoil any future material is fair to discuss.

Yeah I was just watching the first season Blu Ray and they discussed all of this in a storyboard history of the events that led to and preceded the events in the first season. Thatst shit was interesting and would make a great story.

Maybe a movie prequal of these events would be plausible but I don't see it happening.

why? there would be no suspense since we would already know who dies and who survives. besides grmm's ass needs to be writing those last 2 books, and not gettin distracted.

I agree and disagree. A lot of movies/tv shows are based on books yet those who've read those works can still enjoy those stories when they're brought to screen as long as they are done right.

But I agree GRRM needs to concentrate on those last two books before the show catches his ass and they run out of material to cover on the show.

They could do the same thing they did with Spartacus. A quick six episode arc to tie the story together.

I'm hoping that the series catches up so quickly to the novels that they do a prequel season to give Martin some breathing space to write the rest of the books #wishfulthinking

Shit they are onky doing ten a year because of the high price of this show, no way they will do six more just to add to the story.

I think if it did happen it would have to be done in a movie not on the show.

I tried to stay out of this but you all are killing me. The event in question DIDN'T HAPPEN IN THE BOOKs. There's nothing in the book (other than some idle speculation by a few characters) that informs the reader what exactly happened with Lyanna Stark.

It's the primary mystery in the whole series (along with Jon Snow's parents). So anyone who states what happened is speculating pure and simple.

So nothing is being spoiled here unless you consider any and all of the back story before the first book started a spoiler.

Why its called "A Song of Ice and Fire" - Mind = Blown
We called the Jon Snow thing....

To the few posters that are still insisting that Jon is Neds kid...
