Game Of Thrones: The Sopranos with swords or Dynasty in chainmail?

Thank the Gods .... the old ones and the new

I've been quiet as fuck on that picture because I thought I was the only one that didn't get it.
At one point, I stared at that thing for like 2 straight minutes trying to get the joke.:lol::lol::lol:

Good to see that there are others who didn't get it either.

you will get it - all in good time

I had completely forgotten about this. You think Sansa would be nicer to Tyrion. He has been the only one in King's Landing that has been genuinely nice to her.

Tyrion >>>>>

I don't think tyrion minds. He owned Joffrey and meryn. That was a dope scene

Sansa owes Tyrion some ass for several scenes. When he came back to KL on Jofferey's name day he said to Sansa "sorry about your father" Joffery said "her father was a traitor" then he owned him and defended Sansa saying "it was her FATHER! No less...you should be more considerate having just lost your own"

She also owes The hound a piece too he saved her from being raped

She's still caught up in that teenage girl fantasy of marrying a dashing knight (even if he's gay), not marrying a dwarf.

Epic History: House Stark. P1 of 2. Game of Thrones.

This is awesome! But that robot is a pain in the ass and redhead oughta just plop them tittays out. But, must see for anybody that wants to understand the motives a bit more

I just finished re-watching season 2, and I have a comment from the land of woulda, coulda, shoulda's.

It would have been 100X smarter for Theon, if he would have taken Brandon and Rickon as prisoners and took them back to the Iron Islands, instead of trying to hold Winterfell. If he had taken the boys back to the Pyke, they could have demanded anything from Robb. They could have had he King in the North come to Pyke and bend a knee to Balon. He would have finally gotten the respect from his father and sister, that he wanted in the first place.

Oh well, woulda, coulda, shoulda :hithead: .... now back to our regularly scheduled program

The main purpose of taking Theon to Winterfell was to pacify the Iron Born from attacking the North. A bonus effect to his captivity was that Theon began to identify with the North. He captured Winterfell to prove to northerners that his is equal to them...not for the Iron Born, his sister even came and said this isn't our way. He is a Stark in his mind, he admitted it saying Ned was his real father. He was begging for Northern acceptance taking Winterfell (Prince Theon of Winterfell?) In theory it would be as if some field hands led a revolt on a plantation, killed the white masters claimed their titles and moved in the big house and kept the house slaves in bondage. When you identify with your enemy they ALWAYS win (you just become them)

Disagree. Theon's motives were plain, he was given no respect from his father and a task worthy of the ship he was given, " Sea Bitch ".

He took Winterfell thinking it would prove to his crew, his father, and his sister that he was Ironborn and his father's true heir.

Plus his jealousy towards his sister.

It was completely for the Iron Born.

His sister emphasized to him the fact that he could not HOLD Winterfell so deep inland with sea warriors, and to the value the Stark boys had alive.

Totally agree.

Theon's main purpose in taking Winterfell was to earn respect from the Ironborn. He could have sacked Winterfell, burned the city, and taken the Stark boys, and returned to Pyke, before Robb even got word that the city was under attack.

I think when his sister came to counsel him, she was trying to tell him that occupying a city isn't their way. The Ironborn sack cities, take what they want, burn the land, and return to the sea. If he would have burned Winterfell, and repaid the insult to his father by kidnapping the Stark boys, I think he would have gotten the respect he wanted.

To clarify I meant when Ned took Theon to Winterfell he was a political prisoner. The Iron Born rebelled against Robert; then Ned & Stannis squashed the rebellion killed all of the Greyjoy heirs except Theon. He proved not to be Iron Born in leaving Bran and Rickon alive...that is not their way? rape, kill & pillage. How was holding a keep inland away from their power going to appease his father? They already called him a bitch due to his clothes now he wants to be called a "Prince" he was begging for acceptance from the Starks not Greyjoys.

I partially agree the Winterfell move was desperate and unfocused. Theon has stockholm syndrome and his actions convey it. To impress his real father burning Winterfell and killing the Stark kids would have been more than enough...instead he wants them to RESPECT and eventually LOVE him (which will never happen) Theon wants to be a Stark so bad he is acting like he's lord of Winterfelll, that won't help the iron born in any matter because they are SEA PIRATES (they can't hold a region as large as the north on numbers alone) He choose wrong when he burned that letter to Robb Stark, even his sister who cares for him was like "Get the fuck out of here" she knows the Bolton's alone can run through the iron born on land.

Balon Greyjoy was correct...Theon is more Stark than Greyjoy. That's why he was given an expendable ship and crew. You have to live as an iron born to be one....all that pretending isn't effective.

Question for the fam -

When the cat from Yunkai told Daenerys that they have powerful friends that would take pleasure in destroying her, was he referring to the Second Sons?

That's why Balon should take responsibility for his stupidity, because it was his bad decision to rebel against Robert......Aint no way,he should of rebel against Robert knowing full well he didnt have enough men......

Instead of blaming Theon for living with the Starks,he should of told him,he fucked up,instead treating him the way he did....

Balon gotta be the dumbest person in the series....:smh::smh::smh:
