Rob had two arrows in his chest before he could have done anything while his men were getting their throats slit. Thats why he was telling his mother no when she had the knife because he saw that they had already lost. He probably knew they wouldn't have killed his mother but she fucked up when she killed the girl

Naw, Ned did his thing. Neither he or Robert were fit to be king. neither wanted it and Ned didn't want to be Hand of the king. Robert fucked up by taking him out of his element. If he hadnt ordered Ned to be hand, Ned would have joined Stannis and kicked some Lannister but

All in about 6-8 seconds, max.

In that situation, the only dude who could have reacted properly to intense combat... was UNCLE BLACKFISH. (The War Veteran)

But he had left the room awhile back, to take a piss.
If he had been in the room, they would have stood a fighting chance, imo.

Because he would have drawn his sword and rallied his troops in the room.... in a single heartbeat, I think.

Flawless, this is my feeling as well. I think it's very obvious if the Stark legacy is going to continue it's very likely going to be my Bran and his sister Anya. That being said it's obvious by now you can't really count on anyone you know surviving till the end of this thing..But I'm betting they will.

Not onto Bran, What exactly based on this new ability separates him from Professor X?

Shamed for all the realm to see FOREVER? It wasn't that serious. If it were the Frey's would have got at Rob the moment he got married. The Karstarks lost a son and when they felt like their honor wasn't being upheld they handled it straight up.

Keep in mind the Frey's were a minor house. Marrying a Tully or a Bolton was considered a good match for them. They wasn't getting no part of a Stark under normal circumstances.

Lord Walder was just opportunistic cause he knew he had Lannister's support but he went overboard with it. Nothing bout that was justified.

The reason the Starks let their guard down is because of the hospitality custom. In the beginning of the episode you see the Starks eating bread and salt. That's the beginning of the custom. Once you eat bread and salt from another man's house. You're brought under his protection and are supposed to be safe. That's what Walder Frey was talking about in the beginning. Frey broke something that was almost as sacred as the bedding after a wedding in Northern tradition. It's like you can break every tradition in the book but the hospitality one was supposed to be sacred.
