Game Of Thrones: The Sopranos with swords or Dynasty in chainmail?

The only problem is this thread didn't start out as a No Spoiler or Show only thread. Go back and look at some of the (much) earlier pages. People were outright asking about how things happened in the book.

People were posting links to the books, people were posting snippets from the book.

Somewhere along season 2, people started to get uptight about it.

My feeling is this. If you really want to have no spoilers. Create a No Spoiler thread for each season. Now if someone comes in a no spoiler thread and spoils, then they deserve whatever vitriol you can come up with.

This is the no spoilers thread, And this is the spoilers thread.

Winter is Coming- Game of Thrones s3 *spoilers*(TV fans & readers upto bk 4 stay out)

He was saying, that at the beginning of the thread, there was alot of people asking questions and nobody had a problem with it,for whatever reason, when last season rolled around, the majority of those same people got upset last season..

I didnt know about the series, until the day of the first episode of Season 1 and you had alot of people asking questions about the series...

If you look at the first 20 pages, there is nothing but spoilers.....

True, but the last 40 were almost spoiler free. Anyone that has been reading this thread for the past two to three months should know that the other members in here hate seeing spoilers.

Okay, I went back and read some of the first 10 or so pages and yeah, there were spoilers. However .... the next 65+ pages are spoiler free. This thread clearly evolve from where it began. It even spawned not one but two spoiler/book reader threads. There was a 'just for book readers' thread last season and there is another one this season. So why not post your cryptic messages and pictures over there.

I popped over to the other thread for just a second, and I think the answer to that question is that thread is only like 6 pages. Clearly it's not popping over there like it is here. When you already read the books and know exactly whats going to happen, it seems less exciting. Since we haven't read the book over here and don't have a clue as to what's going to happen next, we can have more open hypothetical discussions. All these cryptic messages and pictures are just here to spoil the shock factor for those of us who haven't read the book yet.

I concur...I had never heard of the books or the show during season 1. I watched 2 episodes and found it interesting and saw this thread and learned about Drogo killing Viserys via a golden crown! There have always been spoilers in this thread. Stay away from the internet if you want to be spoiler free...in general

basically

its simple

don't post shit that didn't happen on the screen this season

don't talk about how it went down in the books in here.

do it in the spoilers thread discuss it amongst yourselves in there.

in here don't ask questions about the FUTURE
if you want to know the future go into the spoilers thread.

this thread is reactionary to what we saw on tv. simple as that.

we are FREE to speculate. that's fine.

knowing exactly what happens isn't speculating that's spoiling.

so don't come with the "wait till this" type of crap.

if that book reading thread ain't popping OH WELL wait until more people read the books.

it shouldn't even be up for debate. the majority of the posters in here post from week to week on what they've seen and have questions "rhetorical" for the most part. don't answer
don't post no riddles
don't post no spoilers.

it says a lot about people who can't follow those guidelines now that it has been clearly established. CLEARLY

so what once was is no longer.

I get that everyone is all excited to discuss the series, but there are certain people on here who dont have the decency to let people who only watch the tv show enjoy it without seeing some type of clue or hint about what's going to happen, you can tell some of the guys on here who respond to posts have read the books which is why they have more of a insight of what's going on and can explain something's that aren't explained in the show. It's the me me me I want to be the first to mention something mentality these twitter generation kids have

The NFL is considering suspending Aaron Rodgers for posting spoilers of Red Wedding on his twitter. He then implied there is a 24 hour rule for Game of Throne spoilers...Roger Goodell is expected to meet with Rodgers within a fortnight

honestly this thread aint as bad as the walking dead thread

some one on there who shall remain nameless but has the initials LSN posted a pic of a main cast member as a zombie before the episode aired live

You niggas spending the whole thread talking about niggas spoiling in the thread. Man I'm new to this show and it is fire but this thread is super lame at this point. Man that last episode of season 3 may be the most shocking thing I have ever seen on any of these HBO series. A nigga was attached like a motherfucker to the Starks. Its like the Lanasters(sp?) are pretty much unbeatable or something. This show gonna make me hunt down the books now.

Just a question, when lady stark pulled back Lord Bolton's sleeve, how did she come to realise he had sided with the lannisters. What did pulling his sleeve back signify?

Man this whole scene has fucked up my week man. I can't even bring myself to watch it again man.

I thought the whole shit was a some sort of nightmare bran was having. That Bolton dude looked dirty from the offset. :smh:

She saw his battle armor...it's like seeing a nigga wearing a bulletproof vest @ a wedding

Oh I see. Thanx fam

Ya she was picking up clues left + right...that's another thing that pissed me off about Robb to the point I didn't really care that he died...dudes senses/reactions were slow as shit...can't even blame it on the alcohol cuz Cat was drinking too...I'm mad Cat slapped him instead of yelling some shit like "it's a trap" or some shit...probably wouldn't have done much good anyway

Crazy! Robb never even drew(unsheathed) his sword? I understand his shock and all, But he didn't even draw(unsheathed) his sword not once...

I've asked this before But I'm not sure how they won any battles. I get the Bread and Salt tradition. But fuck that I would have been on the look-out! I'm not trusting NOOOOOOOObody! At the very least my guard would have been told look out for ANYTHING that looks suspicious, out of place. Listen and that would be the standing order, especially during a time of war. I don't give a damn if we were visiting my momma's house. I would have a my guards watching ma!

Plus, don't these kings and Lords usually have one Bad-Ass right hand that's on top of stuff?

When you're a Stark who is so honorable you don't think about someone double crossing you. The Freys weren't in on the war so they thought they was good. Its supposed to be "honor"amongst the houses. Starks are just stuck on fail.

:yes::yes: Exactly.

PLUS... just mere moments RIGHT BEFORE she pulled back Roose Bolton's sleeve.. she ALSO recognized the Lannister 'theme song' the band had started playing.

- it's like seeing a nigga wearing a bulletproof vest... :dunno:
- while the DJ is playing Darth Vader's (Imperial March) theme song in the background...
- at Han Solo's wedding.... that was hosted by Lando Calrissian :(

She put 2 + 2 together.... and tried to tell her son to "Duck".

I can understand them letting their guard down a bit as a result of the bread + salt tradition but I don't see how she slapped that dude and he don't even @ least even try to unsheathe his sword as you stated...and ya I agree as king he shoulda had a couple of those type of dudes who study everything...I know they were meant to die regardless but damn that shit was so effortless...him and crew deserved to be sent out better than that

EXACTLY:yes::yes:
This is my ONLY point look at how his father went out or originally got captured by Jamie and his thugs. They practically had to jump him, I would have expected no less from one of his son. Come on man..hell Anya(his little sister) would have put up more of a fight!

This dude actually let the cat that set the whole thing up sit "PEACFULLY" in his chair a few feet away while he eat chicken and drank wine and enjoyed what he set in motion??:smh:
Ain't no way he wouldn't have caught my flying sword in the middle of his chest!!!
