Where do I start this is by far one of the best gangster movies in recent memory for me. I love the sheer honesty of this flick and Jackie's line at the end had me co-signing like a mufucka!!! A perfect 10 from me.Killing Them Softly

At 97 minutes Killing Them Softly is one of the shortest mob films i have ever seen, but crams in a lot
of colorful characters, stinging and raw dialogue coupled with brutal violence.Scoot McNairy as Frankie and
Ben Mendelsohn as Russell are 2 low level crooks who look like they should be taking showers for a month instead of
robbing an illegal card game run by Markie Trattman (Ray Liotta) at the behest of Johnny Amato (Vincent Curatola)
The robbery leads to hitman Jackie Cogan (Brad Pitt) being called in to track down and take out anyone that was involved.
KTS interestingly uses the 2008 Presidential election and the economic collapse as a parable to whats
playing out on the gritty streets. Pitt, including Richard Jenkins as Driver, the aforementioned actors, and a handful of other character actors
are great but its James Gandolfini as Mickey a hit man who likes his alchohol and prostitutes but cant stop talking about
his wife who is threatening to leave him is the standout.
Even with its short running time KTS drags a bit but still held my attention and definitely entertains.
Scale of 1-10 an 8½

The series will get better.Kane - How did you like Sinister and Iron Fists?
Saw the Sinister advance screening a few months ago. It was predictable, but fun.
I loved both. I will be buying both on blu ray. Sinister was alot of fun. Iron Fist was some good ass kicking.

I think what worked well in Sinister was the documented footage, and the loud noises/bangs. Like climbing the ladder up to the attic region, and then falling. Plenty of laughs in the theater @ that young police officer who was so awkward and quirky too. Wanting to help/assist Ethan Hawke, etc. We weren't sure if he was a red herring or not, or just a random dude for comedic purposes![]()

yeah i thought the deputy was retarded or something![]()

Yeah - he was a fun character in the flick as he completely lightened the mood for the audience
Looper was pretty dope, right? Won passes to Judge Dredd on a Wednesday, and Looper on the following Monday and took a shorty to them. She dug them both which was cool as she gets down with the sci-if, action, thriller shit so it wasn't wasted on her √- think it was back in September or so.
Dredd and Looper were two of my favs as well.
Dredd and Looper were two of my favs as well.

Yeah - they were fun, as you got what you expected. No bullshit - just what the ads, trailers, and reviews were saying √

Great film! My girl was shook for 2 days after we went to go see this!
