Okay soooooo I updated my S3 with AT&T to Jelly Bean, late Monday evening.
The first things I noticed was
1. Project butter. But some menus were really fast while others were skipping/stuttering/jerky.
2. The phone was eating battery life like crazy.
3. The phone got noticeably hotter.
After a couple days & a few restarts/battery pulls...
The phone doesn't get hot anymore like when I first upgraded to Jelly Bean.
Also I don't notice any skipping/stuttering. Everything seems to be smooth & fast.
My battery life still is draining faster than when I had ice cream sandwich.
I have to find out what's killing it so fast.

Could be an app incompatible with JB. May have to uninstall it and reinstall because of data from ICS. Try using Gsambattery to monitor what's killing your battery.

I can say my battery life seems better. No hotness here either. But I will continue with the updates.

The G3 has some size too, but its perfect for my needs. That was one of the reasons I hated sidekicks, too bulky

Same thing has happened to me. Also... my screen has flickered a couple times and became "jerky" with the animations. I have to reboot to fix.

i sent my shit back for a new one. the new one just got here today after a helluva hassle just to get them to agree on exchanging. the sprint store said that bitch was actin funky with the D/L speeds and signal strength. Sprint is some mothafuckas.. but they suck so much withe the customer service and shit you end up gettin all kinds of free shit and credits.

Tmobile offered me a replacement no questions asked. They NEVER given me a problem or second guessed any of the problems I reported on any phone. Simple "what color is the sticker under the battery?"... that's it, done

Is your phone with Sprint? I'm guessing it's not. It seems all other carriers are fine with allowing end users to mute the shutter.
