This was one of my favorite ALL-TIME Saturday morning TV shows:D

always thought Venger was one of the BEST cartoon villains EVER!!!

Show was actually pretty dark and the weapons were ill...wanted that DAMN bow and arrow:lol:

I actually saw some cousins this weekend and was discussing cartoons and we had an argument about how it ended.

For some reason I always thought they finally got back home and back to the carnival...

but it seems there are rumors of an unproduced final episode.

a last episode of the show, either scripted and never produced, or produced and never aired, in which we learn that the kids actually died on the rollercoaster that supposedly took them into the Realm, and that they are, in fact, imprisoned in Hell and being tormented with a complex fantasy (as if just being in Hell wouldn't be torment enough) by the Devil masquerading as Dungeon Master

:eek::eek::eek:

turns out that's complete bullshit.:hmm:

I actually FOUND the script.

Throughout the show, a connection is suggested between Dungeon Master and Venger. The final un-produced episode would have revealed that the latter is Dungeon Master's corrupted son, and explained that the children were brought into the realm to help redeem Venger and restore balance.

Any of ya'll even REMEMBER the show and if you DO...

Did you enjoy it???

I think that would be a GREAT for a new run or even a major movie.

Series developer Mark Evanier revealed that Eric's contrary nature was mandated by parents groups and consultants to push the then-dominant pro-social moral for cartoons of "The group is always right; the complainer is always wrong."

Maaaaannn! Because of that show, that LIGHTNING BOW was my favorite weapon for years.

Ended up playing the role games with some high school friends later on in my young teens.

That was my show. If you grew up in the 70's and 80's did you remember when they'd do the "Friday night preview show" right before the new spring season of Saturday morning cartoons? Man I used to be excited as fuck when that would come on
