Sooo.....I made the switch to the S3...

Here's another thing I like about lookout security, my battery was low and it sent me an email saying don't worry even though your battery is low, we know where where phone is. So to me that told me if a thief had it it could still be detected

Ok so they think it was my app GoSMS so we deleted it and it appears to be ok, but we'll see. But now I need another SMS app with the pop up window like that one. :(

Pop up window where as you're in one program and a text pops up and you can reply quickly and go back to what you were doing without having to leave that original program

Does anyone has this case for their phone? I'm thinking about getting it for my phone. I like the cover for the screen but it is really worth it?

I had that cover. Not too bad, but pretty much useless, unless you keep your phone in your pocket with sandpaper.

the phone's gorilla glass is strong enough to withstand most scratches. so, since the cover is just that (a cover), it's really not protecting much other than the glass when it is in your pocket. i don't carry anything else in my pocket other than the phone, so i don't run any chance of scratching the face.

opening and closing that cover, which is slippery, is scarier than leaving the phone naked as is. combine that with the fact that you have to open it like a book every time you want to access a function, and i don't think it is worth it.

Remember that the back of that cover is made the same way the original backplate is made.

gotcha, thanks because I didn't realize the back is like the original cover, with that slippery feel.

Lookout looks good but I decided to get cerberus. Excellent app worth paying for.

Think when I looked into Cerebus they both were similar or was it cerberus where you could put the phone in the room and then record a conversation from your pc...blew my mind.

This update sucks!!!

 .. at least I still had flash.

That guy reviewing Cerberus suck too... that video could've been shorter and more to the point had he stop "jibber jabbing" and got his terms in order. It was almost unwatchable... I just wanted him to get to the point and show things feature by feature... better. All that smacking and "uhs" was pissing me off. I turned it off 4 minutes in.

I wish the guy that do Microsoft demo's did the video for cerberus.

I think it's pronounce "Sir-bear-us" not "Sirbear-us" too btw.

google "samsung allshare"
download allshare onto your pc.
go thru the allshare wizard.
go to your apps and run the allshare app on your phone.
play the music, video, and show pics from your phone wirelessly to your computer monitor.

OK, I got the update. I was waiting for it to push to my phone but I decided to got to the "About Phone" section in the settings and do a "check for update". This was two days ago.

So far I can tell the phone is a little smoother. There aren't many features added but the biggest change (or update) is Google search. It has been very fast and accurate in recognizing my voice commands. You set up Google now to your specs. Hold down the home button and I get 3 options task manager (I can easily toggle between recent apps), google search, and remove all open apps.

A neat thing I did (by accident) was float a video. The video will play in a little box on the screen while you scroll through the phone. So you can continue reading surfing bgol while the video plays.

Flash seems to be non consistent and buggy. A lot of times I have to reload a page to get it working.

Overall I like it. This phone has continued to satisfy me. Can't wait for the rest of you all to get the update.

You can also stream from your computer to your phone. I really wanted this phone for the "ALLSHARE CAST" option that lets you stream/mirror content from your phone to a compatible Samsung smart tv. It was a big part of their advertising but the feature still isn't available

I stumbled across this this morning I was like

now, i'm playing music/photos/video directly from my phone to my pc... no cords, nothing-everything wireless.

:yes::yes::yes:

now, if i could just get this android beam to work.:angry::angry:

i'd like to share contacts, web pages etc. with other NFC capable phones.

:angry::angry: i've got 3 samsung TV's in this house and NONE of them are allshare (DLNA) capable. fuck.

Anyway I can get my S3 to have whatever is on the Nexus? I was in T mobile playing with one and love the GUI. It have jb 4.1.2 or something like that.
