Sooo.....I made the switch to the S3...

BKF pulled an April fools in October. :roflmao2:

You know they all ran to the tech support lines like feening crackheads... scratchin' "pleeeeeaaassseeee.... jeh....leh.... beeeeaaan... where... is.... iiiiiittttt.... aaarrrggghh!"

You made you some new enemies now.

I just watched the jb and ics comparison. It's the SAME THING except a few animation differences. :hmm:

Very slight difference in performance

I've used an iphone since version 1. I'm over they hype and don't really see the improvement of IP5. I've read this thread and feel that making the switch will be kinda like learning a second language. Because of my profession I use apple PC's (G5 and Powerbook w/ Retina). My concern is syncing the S3 with these devices. I at least want to keep and accurate update of my contacts. The music and applications I guess I will have to get used to.

Also any ideas on the Galaxy Note 2. It seems like a cell phone with ipad capabilities.

That dude is comparing the stock garbage and slow ass Touchwiz launcher. He need to first get off that bullshit launcher. I use Nova launcher which is way faster and you can back up your desktop shortcuts and tons of features.

Let's talk about JB and it's improvements...

Dude had animations turned on why it was slower to respond to things.

Have you seen Google Now? It's the Siri killer, doesn't talk back to you but I don't wanna know "where to bury a body", but you can ask that shit real questions and it spits them out quick, with directions and distance away. Like closest pizza shop or some shit. Can also use S-Voice if you want someone to talk to. LOL

GMail now has zoom email, you can pinch and zoom in on your html type emails.

My camera has a burst mode of up to 20 shots.

Android Beam or NFC = Near Field Communication

Don't use stock browser, I use Dolphin, way faster and tons of add-ons similar to Firefox or Chrome on a desktop. But Chrome and Firefox both run way better as well on Android than the stock.

There's Face Unlock of your phone.

The Gallery displays higher res photos, but I use QuickPic anyways.

I can go on and on about the improvements. I said it in another post, they almost called it Android 5.0 and just went with 4.1

There are vast improvements, just won't see them in stock Touchwiz like that.

ROOT YOUR SHIT!

And be happy you can actually get improvements on a device and not have to buy another like Apple would typically force one to do.

I don't know much about the Galaxy Note 2, but let me bump your post back up to see if you can get some answers.

@bear167 there are no major differences but the apps that use the pen and of course screen size.

For contacts, and my phone is my business, I have over 1000 contacts, manage everything on my Gmail and it is simple. I'm sure they have ways to copy that stuff over that are effortless. I came from blackberry and was simple.

Man I can't even list all the features. Ain't trying to rub shit in but been using jellybean since June/July, not bragging but there's a ton of features that outclass ICS. That video was really based on Touchwiz which is a Samsung launcher. So of course it's going to look the same from ICS to JB. But when you go into foundation features of the phone's OS, it just ain't the same.

Picture Password Lock Plus Key:please:
pronto!:D:lol:

You're asking for a working version on S3?

JB has a face detect lock screen. But some say if someone looks similar to you, then it may open up for them as well.

Face detect sucks. I actually like the win8 pic password. Drawing circles around tits

Just a quick question I have.

When I try to play a youtube video, I keep getting a 'There was a problem while playing' message.

Is there anything I can do to get pass this problem?

I have lookout and so far no problems with it, and it scans everything you put on your phone including the updates.

I tried playing the video from the app itself. That's where I'm having this problem. Haven't tried it yet from the browser.

More than likely it has to do with how strong a signal you have. Do you have 4G service in your area?
