4G signal is probably weak in that area. I'm on Verizon and mine does that too depending on the area i'm in

Ok this is sad on my part, but I never ever have my ringer on, but when I have my ringer on I hear this chiming noise on my phone every so often, but it's not texts, etc.

What could that be? I said all the damn bells and whistles going on and I have no idea and I've had this phone a month.

:lol::lol:

Also, I recorded my nephews game this weekend, but the video is too big to send, how can I shortened or can I zip it to send it out? It is on my phone

Do you use gtalk? It could be a notification. Just pull down your screen to see what pops up when you get the alert. Also, if you use a different app for texting other than the stock app, it could be that as well.

You can upload the video and send it as a stream. Get Minus. Its a cloud app that lets you do it.

It was my yahoo app. It didn't show it notifications, but I figured it by the times the noises were coming in. I fixed it.

As for the video, I will have to try the Get Minus

Peace GSIII Fam, Is it normal for my ringer to start low (volume) for about a second, then jump up to full (what i have it set to) volume?

Breaking News: U.S. versions of the Galaxy S III may not see the Jelly Bean update until 2013 !!!

http://www.phonearena.com/news/U.S....-see-the-Jelly-Bean-update-until-2013_id35642

Well I'm ready to eat my crow now. Damn I can't believe Samsung is taking this long to release Jelly Bean. I thought they would have released it this month not next year, WTF. Android 4.2 (Key Lime Pie) will probably be out by then already. I guess I have to take my ass over to xda developers.

:crying::crying::crying:
Don't blame Samsung, blame the U.S. Carriers.

Task Killer isn't working for me, because I got this Data warning symbol and it's saying I'm using the most data and it looks like TAPATALK is using the most...imagine that. lol

Any suggestions??

Bump for answer because hours later the warning symbol is still there.

I use Droidwall to save on data, very effective. It has settings for both wifi and 3G/4G/Carrier Data. You can allow apps to use wifi freely but not 3G/4G... of course it requires root:D

Root your phone. So long as you follow the instructions, you will be OK. I was on a cold sweat until I saw what a walk in the park it actually was. I have rooted like 5 times now moving from custom to stock ROMs.

My phone scared the hell out of me. smh. It was mad quiet in the house and I heard what sounded like the bells on an ice cream truck... or bicycle. It was emails... :hmm: forgot I added my gmail and hotmail accounts. :lol:

Got to change that gay sounding ass shit immediately. :yes:

I don't understand what you are asking, i saw that you have to check the "Alert me about data usage" box and and then set a data usage amount/limit. Once you set the limit it's gonna notify you when you get close to that limit and gives you a breakdown on how much data each app is using. It seems to be just doing it's job

Ok I can't explain it but it's saying I've used 536MB of data. I only have the Mobile data (top one) check and I don't have that third box at all.

You have the "Mobile Data" or "Limit Mobile data" checked? If you have the limit mobile data check you must have the amount set low and you're close to that amount. Take a screenshot of your screen so i can see what it looks like

Thank you T-Mobile.
