Sooo.....I made the switch to the S3...

Yea rooting android phones is pretty cool. I usually only do it after the carrier stops putting out updates though. Jelly bean is already out for the international Galaxy S3. So we should see it here in the US sometime this month, or by Thanksgiving at the very latest.

Only bad thing about rooting is that some roms don't work well. Sometimes you'll have a rom where 85%-90% of the stuff works. But that 10% could be pretty important like part of the camera functionality doesnt work, or random reboots, or some other bug. I use my GS3 for business, so I need it to just work.

Not when the Rom is basically the official leak..

You should see how the current Jellybean ROM is running right now.. Smooth as butter..

You guys should also check out TouchPal keyboard and see if you like that in comparison to SwiftKey. It is a Swype type keyboard.

Just got mine...

Geech.. What rom are you running?

Im running Frosty JB 4.1.1 v5 its a good rom just getting used to the update seeing if im getting the same battery usage in v4 so far so good for now I like frosty because it keeps all the motion capabilities if I was to use lets say AKOP or Cynoagen Mod Jb I loose function Ive become accustom to using but im quite content with this rom sometimes it I guess u can say stutters with a blue tint but its a small thing rarely happens but has been fairly stable also I scored like 6300 something with this rom and the custom kernel ...

what's that and how do you get it?

For those looking for an alternate keyboard try "SwiftKey 3" FREE. You can link it to your facebook, twitter, etc.. and it memorizes your typing/talking style so when you're typing in most cases it predicts the next word you're gonna use

I like it better than swype:yes:

Same here..This is what I am running...

Rom: Frosty 4.1.1 v5
Phone: Samsung Galaxy SIII T-999 (White 16GB)
ROM: FrostyJB 4.1.1 v5 (Blue)
Baseband: (UVLI8)
Kernel: UVLI6 (Stock)
Recovery: CWM-Touch v6.0.1.2 (T-mobile)

What modem & Kernel are you using?

As far as the battery.. it's fantastic. You have to let it drain all the way dead then recharge it. I'm on my second cycle of doing that. This is what my battery life look like this morning..

Breaking News: U.S. versions of the Galaxy S III may not see the Jelly Bean update until 2013 !!!

Well I'm ready to eat my crow now. Damn I can't believe Samsung is taking this long to release Jelly Bean. I thought they would have released it this month not next year, WTF. Android 4.2 (Key Lime Pie) will probably be out by then already. I guess I have to take my ass over to xda developers.

Ok what are some decent earphones with a mic similar to the ones the come with it but I can't deal with those ear bud things, even the smallest fall out my ears.
And I'm not paying a lot of money for shit I'll lose but I use mine to talk too.

I want to cry with these things and all of them are made like this in seeing, and they are talking too much today at work *crying *

I have rooted my phone in the past with my PC. Now I have a Mac and i rarely see instructions on how to root with Mac. The one i did see seemed very complicated so i passed on it. Is there a easy way to root with a Mac?

i use these with my phone and tablet. Bluetooth, not expensive, clear, small. You can make and answer calls, pause, play, skip music as well.

Are these the big ones I can't really tell? And I will use them at work and trying to make sure they're not too big

No. They are compact and can be folded. They go around the head
