Before i got the phone i'd heard people saying it was big and when i'd watch different videos i'd think there different models because in some vids the phone looked big and in some it looked normal. I figured out that it was the size of the person's hand that was making it look that way

It's not easy to maneuver around with one hand like the iphone. You will almost always use 2 hands to use it.

Yeah my stepson made that comment this weekend about where I get that big ole phone from, and then when I told him, he was like it doesn't seem that big on TV, he was playing around with it, and he called yesterday to say he got the S3 yesterday. :D

Let me rephrase, Right now, my jailbroken iphone allows me to tether my ipad for internet access, If i switch to the SIII, will it allow me to do the same?
Aiight fam, what app should i use to tether my ipad without AT&T knowing? or do i have to root my SIII to do this?

Thanks fam, i had to get it the hard way, but i learned how to load an app without going through google play  , i will try it out, if i get a call from AT&T telling e that they are gonna charge me for tethering, i'll let yall know...i rarely use it, but it's good to have for the ipad...

as suggested, foxfi works, but you also need pdanet on your tablet.

Another way is, to grab a widget called Elixir. Create a tether widget (but of course you have to set up the hotspot settings first). Then just turn it on and your table should find it. This is what i do.

When i plug mine up the phone and sd card both show up as separate drives. I looked to see if it was settings, but on mine it either connects as a media device or camera (to import just pics)

If yours is doing that, take it back. It should appear under "my computer" as "phone". Then you can click on it and it shows the "phone" drive and the sd "card" drive.

 you don't take it back because of that.. jesus... when you plug it into your computer it should load the drivers automatically and load up as a drive, if not download the correct samsung drivers and install them... simple... most times though you don't need to install anything so it's probably your computer, and the drivers will get it done.. google it or go to samsung's site for the driver install

Got me an invisa shield screen protector... sort of pissed because I trapped ONE loose strand of hair under it when I applied it. Damn haircut... I got it on perfectly too.

Just a heads up fam...
If you drop your phone & crack the glass, there is a way to replace just the outer glass part for only $20.

The Galaxy S3 has 3 parts to the screen. An outer glass(Gorilla glass), a digitizer, and then inner glass(Samoled). If you crack/shatter it, but it still responds to the touch of your fingers. Then just the outer part is broken. Instead of buying the whole 3 part assembly for $300, you can buy just the outer part (gorilla glass) for $20 & change it yourself.

Warning.... it takes a lot of patience to separate the outer glass. You have to use a hair dryer or heat gun to loosen up the glue holding the glass on. Here's a thread on xda developers from others who have successfully tried it.
