DATDUDEDERE, how much did the omega run you? Its one of the only upright masticating juicers that i've seen. Most sit flat and have a smaller mouth that requires you cut the food into smaller pieces before feeding into the machine (like the champion).

....And also, how is the clean up on it?

20% off 379.00 @ Bed Bath Beyond....and yes you are right there's only few upright masticating juicers...but I spent about a week researching juicers and discovered that the masticating juicers got the edge... and if you think about it makes sense...the slow quiet grind of my juicer press and produce more juice than centrifugal juicers....and yes you have to cut food into smaller piece's ....but not that small....clean up is really easy .... really easy compared to the centrifugal juicer my friend has...I'll take pics of the clean up 2morrow

How is it on juicing kale? Thats one of the hardest leafy greens for me to extract liquid from typically...especially with my breville.

because kale, spinach that we buy in a bag is so thin and soft .... we would have to put damn near a whole bag of it to get a good amount of juice from it..... but with my juicer i have notice that it grinds and squeezes leafy greens a little better... but with all juicers ....leafy greens are a challenge ..... :lol: just got to put a lot in it

Yea but kale is the worst. Its just a very fibrous leaf. I have no issues with spinach, just was curious if the omega did a better job. Thanks for the feedback and keep up the good eats. :yes:

and here's the vid of me juicing the kale.... just the kale part.... but you can also check out the blender itself.... 80 RPM .... it grinds slow and hard... sorta like me when im punishing these hoes ......:lol:

 
Props DDD. Looks as if you get a bit more juice out of your kale than i do but at the expense of a more timely grind. Thanks for the vid bro. :yes:

coming from someone that has been there... the best advice that i can give you is keep pushing yourself... even when you dont feel like doing that last set of weights or running that last quarter mile you have to keep pushing. as far as your meals go just try to eat clean all weekend and then when the weekend comes allow yourself ONEcheat meal not a cheat day just one meal and then get right back on your plan for the rest of the weekend.

the last thing that really helps me is writing your goals down and reading them everyday when you wake up and carrying them around in your wallet and reading them when you may want to grab that bag of chips from the vending machine or you're thinking about skipping the gym that day.

stop using the word "diet" too you are not on a diet diets don't work you are aiming for a "lifestyle change"

are you weighing your foods out??? using a food scale makes a big difference. What a serving is and what you think a serving is are two different worlds.

on another note i like to saute a little red onion in with my spinach and garlic
 
Ok just a tip.... to make your juicing experience better....

since i've been juicing... and it's been a lot... several times a day... i've been making a lot of trash because of all the veggies and fruits i've been juicing... all of that nasty shit that the juicer spits out when you put in the trash by night time that shit starts to stink :puke:..... and when you juice several times a day it's worst..... and i was taking trash out everyday wasting bags.....fuck that..... so what i'm doing now is something really simple to solve this matter.... go to walmart and get the cheap large sandwich bags and put the guts in it..... and throw it in your kitchen trash or take it out.... me, i take it out....

clown if yall want but that shit can stink up your house quick... and im not putting all that shit Garbage disposal :smh:


these bags cost 3bucks and hold a lot....

Great idea. I juice couple times a day as well. Have the same juicer. Well the Hurom but its same thing.....

I recently got a pomegranate at the market and not sure if you ever juiced but those things juice nice.

Just got back in swing the last couple of weeks. I usually do my greens like kale, lettuce and spinach and push threw with a green apple or carrots or pears.

Good thread havent read it all but I will.

ordered my juicer should get delivered today going to go out and pick up some fruits and stuff tonight... starting monday going to replace 2 or my 6 meals with juice and see how that works out
