You'll get over it...the excitement of the show made me wiki it after the last season ended...I still enjoy the show and the lil nuances that I didn't get off wiki...truth be told w/ the exception of a few deaths I forgot most of what I read

there wasn't much fantasy in the first season until the last episode. there are mentions of things here and there, but the actual story is what got me hooked.
I remember watching it with my girl, and she was complaining all thru the first episode about how boring it was. As soon as the kid got pushed out the window, she shut her ass right up and watched the whole damn season.

If I remember the 2nd book correctly, there are some differences in the way things happened in the book & the 2nd ep tonight. For example, Arya didn't admit to Gendry who she was until later, and the scene with the horse returning with the head & dismembered body of one of Danaerys's blood riders didn't happen @ all. And the scene where Melisandre seduces King Stannis didn't happen either.
True, but those are relatively minor things except the Mel + Stannis thing. That was implied in the books but never shown explicitly. Just like the Renly being gay was implied but never shown as it was in the HBO show. I think that's HBO just trying to spice things up.

In the credits tonight I could have sworn I saw "Sahara Knite", and (I don't think this would qualify as a spoiler) I think it was the chick that was blowing dude at the brothel. IMDB says she was even on an episode last season. Sorry if it is already known.... but thought I'd give a heads up in case it wasn't.
