Mcdonalds Incident.... Self defense???

Ok I watched the video and wow.

Can someone tell me what cellphone was used to record that? The quality was amazing.

All bolded in pink is PROJECTION. I never implied a 'black out' EXCUSE (and by the way, JG don't need excuses where cogent reasoning will do JUST fine). You just fabricated that out of thin air.

On subjectivity. The MERE FACT that there's DIFFERENCE OF OPINION on the amount of force PROVES that it's SUBJECTIVE!!!! Get it? Subjective = personal opinion, whether informed or uninformed.

And what does 5'3 @ 130 pounds have to do with it? First, you don't know ANYTHING about the assailants, height and weight included. Secondly, there were TWO attackers, one of whom exhibited a HIGH propensity for violence and a willingness to continues WITH ABANDON, hence hopping onto and over the counter.

I don't know about YOU, but where I'M from it's the 'seemingly' incapable or small people that are the MOST dangerous. WHY? Because to compensate for their 'seeming' inadequacies, the are usually carriers . . . gun carriers.

So you AND thread_critic and EVERYONE else that thinks that SIZE matters, can continue on. But there're are more 'shorties' killing and baggin' folks than these illusory giant henchmen that'd be the opposite of these supposed 'little girl' mothafuckas y'all yappin about.

One of these 5'2 buck 05 motherfuckas will put your hairline where your shag is supposed to be . . . JUST because y'all sleeping on 'em. Feel bad for them broads all you want, but ask yourself . . . WHAT WERE THEIR INTENTIONS? AND WHAT MIGHT HAVE HAPPENED IF HE DIDN'T HAVE A WEAPON AT ALL?And to ad to THAT, what IF they had weapons? He had no way of knowing that. Male or female, he stopped the threat with sufficient force.

It's 2011 . . . snap out of it, ignorance is bad for you.

lol it's projection. Yeah, the 1 main thing my husband believed in and taught our sons was to be responsible for your own actions. He taught them not to revert to animals if provoked. To be THINKING men.

It's 2011, stop being victims. And putting yourselves in positions to be repeat offenders.

HATE . . . WOMEN? Man, you just told 3 jokes with that. Instead of addressing my completely legit points . . . that's your position? Get yo' groove on man.

But in the interest of shits and giggles, here's one; If I hate women, you must hate being a man. It'd explain why your empathy is one sided versus being objective. Now that's funny.

JG

 your points? The what the fuck makes you think I read anything you posted in this thread:confused:....odd

You make some very valid points.
I persoonally think the dude went over the top.
But a more interesting comparison would be if we replaced the two girls with two black men and replaced the dude with a white police officer, who in turn administered a comparable beating to the two unarmed dudes.
I'm quite sure that most of us would be looking at the scenario differently, as would the legal system..

So is it our predjudice that colours our opinions?

Food for thought!!

These guys are pretending. I'm consistent with mine. Excessive is excessive. No matter who's doing it. If you can stop. You should stop. If you DID stop. Then you shouldn't keep going.

If were men that got that ass beat and not some bull-dykes, would you have posted in this thread? Answer that.

And BTW kill all of that "What it means to be a man" noise. If these dumb bitches knew how to be LADIES, the situation wouldn't have escalated in the first place. :smh:

So why is what i do effect what you are?

Victims . . . You AND your husband need to get a grip. I see you're STILL INCAPABLE of seeing the 'females' as the animals. Why is that? And no, it's NOT a rhetorical question? And while we're on the subject, you never mentioned having daughters . . . but if you do or intend to, maybe you'd also impart that 'wisdom' to them as well. You know . . . the not 'reverting to animals' part.

Another thing you might impart to your sons as well is to ENSURE they properly preserve their safety, if for no other reason than to make sure they're around and safe so you and your 'husband' can continue to spout silliness while REAL shit is popping off in the REAL world.

JG

So why is what i do effect what you are?

It doesn't. But, what you are seems to be the root of your bias.

How about you answer the question. though? If two guys were the ones victimized here, would you be in here defending them?.. This guy's manhood is in question because of who he defended himself against? If the bull-dyke would have stabbed of shot him, what then?

Ok, I skimmed through the thread. Of course, the usual suspects are in here hence it being over 14 pages. Point blank, guy went over board. I understand in the heat of the moment you lose rationale in a survival situation but he went way too far. As someone in here stated, replace the two black women with black men and the the black guy with a white officer and you would all be singing a different tune.

He went over the top. Simple.

I can see both sides of the "excessive" argument but that's a terrible analogy. Officers go through extensive training on how to handle and diffuse situations. And have a totally different type of authoritative position in society.

Are you all seriously trying to make an armed officer of the law analogous to a random person working behind a counter at McDonald's ? :smh:

Albeit they are two different fields of work, I'm pretty sure fast food employees have to follow a protocol when dealing with aggressive customers. And i'm pretty sure customers such as those in the video are not anomalies in NY McDonald restaurants. Of course this incident in particular is at the extreme end of the spectrum.

Granted, maybe my analogy was perhaps not the best one to use but I used it because we've seen police officers use excessive force on black men and women for years and we're outraged by it. Should we be less outraged because it's a McDonald's employee and therefor show more sympathy towards him?

And yes, the man in question is not an officer and he hasn't received the exact same training when it comes to situations such as these.... but my point still remains, he used excessive force and I cannot condone what he did. I understand why he went over the the top but he was wrong nonetheless.

It's not about who is executing the violence, it your acceptance of the extreme violence!!!
You should be equally outraged!!!

It's not about who is executing the violence, it your acceptance of the extreme violence!!!

I disagree. I think a big part of the outrage w/ police officers relates to the abuse of power b/c of their authoritative position and the fact that they are entrusted and trained to protect, serve, and handle certain situations. Even some of the most hostile.

If I see a police officer using excessive violence I have very good reason to assume that he/she has had the proper training to know and do better. And they probably have had some psych evaluation if I'm not mistaken. So they are held to a higher standard of responsibility than a restaurant employee.

If I see somebody run up on a random employee at McDonald's I have NO idea what to expect or what that person is capable of. Nor do I know if that person is even sane. There is no indication. For all we know this person could have a troubled past and a propensity for excessive violence. A much more unpredictable situation, thus less shock when things go haywire.

I'm definitely not condoning or "accepting", but this is NOT fantasy island out here!!! People are highly unpredictable and some are flat out NUTS!!! That is why you think before you run up on someone w/ reckless abandonment b/c you really don't know what you may be getting yourself into.

I watched the video several times and I noticed that after the females went down, the guy only struck after the females tried to get up while he was yelling for them to stay down. You know where he got that from? Corrections Officers! That's exactly what they do with a prisoner who is fighting them or being generally unruly. They make the prisoners lie prone on the ground to show that they have no weapons in their hands and they are being totally submissive. That way the officer knows that he can now secure the prisoner without getting hurt. If a prisoner tries to get up after being told to stay down, they'll get their ass whipped some more. Granted, officers generally know to use body shots, but I bet this is where he learned how to handle a situation like this. In his mind he was going to hit them until they stayed down and no longer presented a danger to him.

Now I realize that the great majority of the people on BGOL have never been in this type of situation, but you have to realize that the cashier didn't come to work planning to kick someone's ass - he just went to work, just like everyone else. When he told the females that he had to check their $50 bill, they lost their minds and attacked him. He retreated from them (also keep in mind that the rear of the kitchen is an enclosed area and would have been trapped there with them and been cornered). He had NO IDEA what weapons they may or may not have had on their person at that time. It's real easy to judge AFTER the incident is over, when you know all the facts. But this guy was just doing his job! It's not a normal, everyday thing for some crazy chicks to jump over the counter and attack employees! This guys isn't trained to deal with attacks from the public. McDonald's isn't a paramilitary organization! He's not getting paid to resist attacks from violent customers or get hurt by being assaulted! He did what he did because he saw it being legally implemented by correction officers and thought it was the correct thing to do. He made sure those women were not in the position to hurt him. Those chicks got what they got because they did what they did. If you watch the video again, even after they saw him with the metal rod, they didn't retreat. They moved forward to continue the fight. They weren't concerned about being hurt, they were trying to attack him. In my eyes, they deserved that asswhippin'.

very valid point. man fuck them bitches...if they had self control to let the man do his job, this would of never happened. it mAKE think the $50 bill was a fake. why put your hands on that man. then proceed to jump the counter and attack him. fuck them broads and i hope he sues and get paid by mcdonalds. no telling what would of happened if he didn't defend himself.

You can t brush over the poor analogy you made...between an average citizen at a fuckin fast food restaurant and trained professional officer.....

Next...and what you "excessive force" people fail to realize.....

Is that once you put yourself into a situation of force (ie by jumping over a counter and running after someone)

You can t control what happens to you and you can t say don t punch me so hard....don t hit me so hard....that s too much...

does not bother me.....maybe they were reaching for a knife behind the counter or some other shit.........

Would've made me feel better if he would've went to get his manager when they first started trippin....like he was trained to do....................and yes it would've made me feel better if he would've acted like a savage with his hands instead of acting like a savage with a weapon.

if service employees had to run to their manager everytime they came across an unruly customer, then they would hardly ever be at their post, especially in a place like mcdonalds. maybe he was trying to diffuse the situation before it got physical, and once it did he could've went to the back to get the manager, or maybe not, we don't know. when the two patrons decided to enter a restricted area, the rules changed.

so you don't have an issue with the violence itself, just how it was accomplished, cuz a 'real' man only beats the shit out of women with his hands and feet eh?

If THIS service employee would've ran to his manager he might not be facing the next 10-20 years in prison......and what I do know is that he acted like a savage.

What makes you think I don't have an issue with the violence? The fact that I said he should've just passed the issue off to his manager didn't clue you in to that question:confused: Guess my hands statement just went over your head if you took it that way....interesting.

How about this 'ladies' . . . Try imparting that shit to the FEMALES who lack it. PERHAPS, neither gender will have to 'DISCOVER' the indecency of one another?

You won't hear that from them though. The logical answer, is and will always be that people, no matter what the gender should never hit or put hands on anyone. All this "gender role" shit is bullshit and projection from frightened females, afraid of being abused.

They are simply putting the cart before the horse. Expecting men to control themselves "simply because they should is beyond ignorant". The real answer is simply avoid violence at every turn and violence will not happen to you. Legacy Infinity will noT go that far though, more illogical thinking and projection from her

how do you know whether or not he went to do just that before they followed him into a restricted area?

when you first posted in this thread, you seemed to take more of an issue with what he used in his violent act moreso than the violence itself. but whatever.

She slaps him in the face.

You can't slap a man in his face and expect it to end well.

You attack....you get pounded....They attacked first and pursued him! When you are defending yourself, nothing is too far!!

he overdid it, but fuck the bitches... they deserve it. I heard they r setting up a defense fund for the dude anyways, I'll donate.

Dude, all of this double standard blow back is EGO. But they don't hear you though.

SOME people believe there's some magical RULE BOOK that applies to females, and another that applies to males when it concerns PHYSICAL violence.

The 'tough' guy says . . . I can handle any 'broad', no sweat (as he kisses his bi-cepts). And to THIS guy NO female is capable of rendering harm to such a guy.

However, there are quite the number of infirmaries and graveyards of 'tough guys' that slept on the capacity of the FEMALE propensity for violence. Females do MANY things different in hostile situations than male.

One being, women are FAR more likely to pick up some shit and throw it.

Females are FAR more likely to bite scratch or resort to razor blades than males.

MOST men BOX . . . the rest are smart enough to expand their arsenal of tools . . . recognizing that UNDERESTIMATING ANY THREAT regardless of gender may prove your undoing.

Ex: In the battle field SOLDIERS were warned to be on alert for 'child' attackers in Iraq. Should an attacker be a child, how is a soldier supposed to handle the situation? It's a legit question, because a bullet triggered by a child will KILL just the same.

We would ALL like to see one of our own disarm the child and set him or her free . . . but child with a gun is FAR more likely to pose danger . . . women only second to children in this regard. However, a spontaneous situation may leave little if any time (and depending on one's faculties) or intelligence to ADEQUATELY handle the situation in a manner that would PLEASE everyone.

THIS is the BEST case scenario. It is also a LUXURY, if not a fantasy, that an incident will work out this way.

So THREAD_CRITIC all you've said is that 2 woman of a certain height 'SHOULDN'T' be a problem for a "TUFF" guy to handle. But you haven't REALLY said anything. What you have done is curry favor from a few females on the board who agree with such non-sense. Get your groove on. But there are MANY MEN who've SEEN what that gender MIS-conception can lead to. Good thing YOU aren't among them. Because there are a good many females here in NEW YORK that have been on the RECEIVING end on RAZOR BLADE CUTS to the face . . . and men too. And I'm not sure how me being a guy would prevent me from catching a slash here or there.

Anyhow, this guy did PRISON time. He LIKELY has a better idea of the POTENTIAL outcomes of multi-person attacks that you do. He reacted how he KNEW BEST . . . period.

So continue on thinking these 'women' can't or won't make it happen for you. And we can respectfully agree to disagree . . . but one thing though, how WILLING are you to risk ANY part of your physical well being by exposing yourself to whatever unknown intentions from ANYONE? You seem to be a wise guy . . . knock it off. I don't see ANY intelligent person, especially with responsibilities or something to lose taking that risk. Because dead up, if the cashier was female MY opinion is the same.

Two very solid and logical posts.

I agree 100%.

Man a lot of these Bgol kats just plain hate women period I've noticed this over the years, but its getting to crazy levels now

I agree with this. Some of these dudes hate women.

I've been saying this. I'm glad that some aren't like this though. Some of you still have a shred of common sense and decency. SOME of you realize what it means to be MEN.

They were going to slaughter him. And he needed to fight for his life. And he's not a thinking human being. He's a wild beast. Just in the form of a man. It was war. There are no rules. Even in McDonalds. It's a jungle. Real in the field. Got to be a G 24 - 7. Three sixty five. Got to hold mines down ya heard!

Of course, the usual suspects are in here hence it being over 14 pages.

Yes the legal system would look at it differently cuz they stay excusing these barbaric police officers all the time ... I however would be outraged and more upset than in this situation. The excessive force that police use is a BIG issue for me. You cant use these sorts of scenarios with me, I lost a friend to the police and almost lost another one too ... I'm not a fan of the cops and how they handle people :smh::smh::smh: :(

Great point, and co-sign 100% on the bolded highlighted part.

This case is very simple. The guy went to far. He already was convicted of murdering a 17 year old kid and wounding another 8 year old child. Under those circumstances he does not get the benefit of the doubt. His action showed why he is dangerous to society.

We all have he right to defend our self but not the right to use deadly force or a deadly weapon. Items such as a crowbar, bat and a iron medal rod are all deadly weapons. This guy took a medal rod to the head of someone else. He repeatedly hit those women in the head.

He deserves to be locked up and should be. He has to learn to use better judgment.

Exactly. It seems some posters have never lost someone to gun play by some little smurf looking muthafucka. If someone half your size is in attack mode, it is reasonable to assume that they may be armed. If those muthafuckas are still moving, they can still pull OR retrieve a weapon and kill you.

Shit, there was a case on The First 48 just like this. Someone attacked a person that had a gun. They were on top beating them and stabbing them. The person was still able to draw the gun and kill them.

Who here is willing to bet his or her own life on some "compassion" for an attacker type shit? You hit that muthafucka a couple of times, they like :(" Ok...ok..." and as they are getting up they light your stupid ass up. That's what happens in REAL LIFE. Shit isn't about being hard. Shit is about knowing the black homicide rate is through the roof for a reason. Gun play is everywhere.

Had this happened in an Arab store and the Arab pulled a gun and shot them as they jumped the counter, he is getting off. A cop is getting off. Why does the black man have to be overcharged?

[/U][/B] It's real easy to judge AFTER the incident is He had NO IDEA what weapons they may or may not have had on their person at that time.over, when you know all the facts.

The defense in a nutshell......

Victims . .

I see you are incapable of understanding responsibility. Self control. And you don't understand how the legal system works. That's fine. There are men in this world who believe in self control. There are men who believe that if someone does something to you. How you respond to it is within your control. This is how the courts look at it.

The topic is, was this self defense? Or was it excessive? The DA, thinks it was excessive. You have 2 people with legal knowledge say it was excessive and how it will be viewed as excessive. I personally feel it was excessive. And he's going back to jail. Because he cannot control himself.

That's how responsible people see things. "Yes they did this, but I could've done ______________".
