This entire scenario is screwed. However I know what I would have done. I would have run. That's right, run. I'm 6'4" and about 265lbs or so and have no fear of physical harm from them and I would have run my black ass ALL the way to the back the minute I was attacked. If I saw them coming to the back to pursue me I would have run "OUT OF THE BUILDING". They would have had to catch me in the parking lot, which I doubt they were prepared to do. Yeah I would have been clowned the next day at work, yeah I would have had to hear the jokes about Usain Bolt the next day at work, yeah I would have even probably clowned myself the next day at work by doing the 'Running Man' dance of some shit BUT the operative words are 'THE NEXT DAY AT WORK'. I completely understand what this man's rationale was. He was being attacked. He wanted to defend himself. He's spent a decade of his life behind bars watching what prison guards do to quell prisoners. That's exactly what he did. In fact we can thank our lovely correctional system for teaching this man to be excessive in his defense. He wasn't out of control. In fact he had complete control over the situation. He was calm even while striking his assailants. He only struck when there was an attempt by one of them to get up. I get it. The ladies were wrong. I get that too. That being said, you have GOT to know what your situation is. It's not about them it's about you.

He KNOWS that he's a convicted felon.
He KNOWS that he's on parole.
He KNOWS that he's black.
He KNOWS that he's in America.

Charges have been made in the Wednesday evening shooting that left 23-year-old Dearborn resident Hassan Zeidan dead.

Fadi Hassan Faraj, 34, also of Dearborn, has been arraigned on charges of first-degree murder and felony firearm, the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office announced Friday afternoon. The first offense carries a life sentence, while the second carries a two-year sentence, if convicted.

The prosecutor's office provided additional details about how the alleged homicide unfolded Wednesday night on the basketball court behind Riverside Academy West, located on Schaefer Road in east Dearborn.

"Zeidan and Faraj were playing basketball ... when the two men got into a verbal argument that turned into a physical fight," Prosecutor Kym Worthy's office said in a statement. "It is alleged that after the fight was over, Faraj went to his car and retrieved a handgun. When he exited the car, he fatally shot Zeidan."

The statement added that witnesses who were at the scene held Faraj when he attempted to flee, securing his arrest by Dearborn police.

Faraj was arraigned on Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Dearborn's 19th District Court in front of Judge Mark Somers. Somers remanded Faraj to the Wayne County Jail with no bond.

A preliminary examination has been set for Aug. 12 at 9 a.m. at the 19th District Court.

I think what he did in that situation was the correct thing to do, but he has prior violent offenses and spent 10 years in prison culture and has a different mentality. I'd hate to reinforce the idea that if it's self defense it's ok to beat people. In that situation he didn't have a visible out and the whole thing happened way too fast so his reaction is understandable, but what about the next time he gets into an argument and he has several obvious ways out to save himself but he chooses to pick up an even deadlier weapon. Then we have another murder.

I'd go after the women too and attempt to give them more time. They're absolutely insane. I can't imagine doing something like what they did. They totally went after dude like wild animals. They'd have chased him if he'd have attempted to run. What would have happened if he didn't defend himself?
