In my opinion ... both guys were bad match-ups for him. Diego's been back on track in 2010 / 2011. His mind is right. Plus, he's even younger than Koscheck (and both cats came from TUF 1 filmed back in 2004/2005).

Enjoyed the first round. Good variety of offense from Jones ... and props to Rampage for keeping his composure and dealing with the unpredictability offered up by the champ. Also, glad to see he didn't get styled on like everyone else Jones has faced 2008/2009 - present. 10-9 Jones first round.

I hate to oversimplify..but Rampage has an easy points victory based on aggression the same way he beat Machida.. if he just never lets Jones set because Jones never stays in the pocket. He moves away and doesn't counter.

That was clever. Big man at 6'3" dropping to guard in the final 10 seconds of round 2. He would have had more time to work had he tried it a bit sooner and locked up the potential sub. Impressive late-2nd attempt.
