Word... Mofos seem to have forgotten how good part 1 was, and sasuke was M.I.A for a good part of it.
Sasuke is a more interesting character though.
That's what I dont understand,the first part was the shit because Kishimoto didnt have this love fest of Sasuke until towards the end of it and all of the second part...On top of that,he gave everyone screen time,even shitty ass Tenten had screen time....Now you have Naruto chasing Sasuke like a girl.
When I first read the manga in 2005,I would get excited every week but now its far in between because Kishimoto keeps having Naruto chase Sasuke...
The only good thing about the second part was the Akatsuki vs Asuma/Shikamaru and those 2 other guys and that's about it
Then why name your manga after one of your characters then...I dont understand it at all...I would have no problem if Kishimoto named it name his manga something else but I dont understand why you would call it "Naruto" but neglect his growth..
The only reason why Sasuke is an interesting story is because he got the Sharingan and that's it...I can name you a few characters that could be more interesting than Sasuke but Kishimoto wont do it...
My biggest problem with the manga is Kishimoto keeps rehashing the same shit over and over and over again...He keeps having Naruto chasing a guy that dont want to be saved,he has done that atleast 4 times since the time skip..Kishimoto needs to move the story along instead of having Naruto save Sasuke punk ass.
Kishimoto is probably the worst manga writer I've read from....If you can predict a story months before it happens that means your story is shitty....Kishimoto needs end Naruto but it wont happen because he has atleast 6 years of story left...

Why DBGT and Naruto Shippuden failed
its simple the story ended after it needed too, after the cell saga Gohan, and Trucks where the strongest fighter, the earth had it new defender, but just like in Shippuden the story had to try to prove that the new generation is better then the old generation
and so the pointless battles happen, as much as i enjoyed the final battle between Majin Vegita and Goku we always know how it would end Vegita is the Ying to Goku's Yang they will always be equally match, Saska is the Ying to Naruto Yang and the more bad he becomes the more good Naruto will become, but they will both always be evenly matched.
where i fell Shippuden has lost sight is Naruto's motivation and thus the story has begun its free jump over the shark and thats why Naruto will never beat DBZ and thats why DBGT wasn't as good as DBZ

I used to read the DBZ manga but then I noticed alot of annoying edits. #17 gun being erased from the book yet they didn't censor some guys head being ripped off. Then I bought a book and they called mr Satan, hercule in the manga even going so far as to edit a giant s on a building into a h. That was the last straw for me so I didn't buy anymore.

You shoulda put this in the naruto thread. Dbgt failed because it wasn't an adaptation of any manga by akira toriyama it just used his characters just to cash in on the dragonball moneytrain. Inferior writers bare inferior product

I like the Sasuke story, i don't care what the manga's called. I just like the story that's going on. I like his personal struggle. And the struggle that he's being placed in by his friends. I like his morality. Or how it HAS been anyway. Sasuke to me is just misunderstood. He's not a BAD guy. I doubt until this last fight with Danzo that he really would've hurt anyone from Team 7.
I like the revenge storyline. And the morality of all of that. Some people don't. Not everyone is going to like everything.
Naruto himself, he's cool. I like angst. Naruto has no angst to me. He has no emotional depth to me either. He's just not as interesting as Sasuke, Itachi, Madara, Pain, and Shikamaru.

The japanese sense of honor, and their codes can sometimes be very alien to the western mind. I had to think about it myself quite a bit to wrap around my mind. I then had to have someone who's dealt with their culture explain it to me. It makes sense now. Itachi is a tragic hero.

Man u forgot a 'crucial' part, Kakashi Idolized Naruto's father, so to have him ignore Naruto was something that I could never understand, even when he revealed that he knew who Naruto's father was, I was like did Kishimoto really want to 'kill' off the main character cause it didn't make sense to me, let me explain further the only 'constant' in Naruto's world was Pervy Sage, that is the only person who has shown any consideration to him, his death was supposed to be the major arc for Naruto instead, the hype is Sasuke and his brother's 'Sacrifice' that I could never understand!

It's the hopelessness that Sasuke feels. The drive to get vengence on his brother, then to find out all of that hate, all of that energy he used to drive himself and focus his desires on were unwarranted. So what does he do? He shifts his focus. Some people once they discovered the truth of the situation? Would've just let the whole thing die. But some other people? Turn all that energy into something else.
Sasuke is a lesson to me for my children. Sasuke is a great lesson because he teaches what happens when you're SO driven, and you eliminate every other process in life and become so guided by 1 purpose what happens to you.
Sasuke is a shell of a person. All he lives for is revenge. I actually would like to see that story where he does succeed in killing a bunch of people in Konoha. Even wrecking the village. And have him sit there and try to figure out...then what?
What now? But he'll probably do some kind of thing in some big fight with Madara and he sees the error of his ways or something and see what being so rage driven is going to do to you.

you know i'd prefer it if somehow Sasuke killed madara and became the villian of the series. Then after the finale battle he'll get redeemed like we all know kishimoto is already planning on doing with his character. While madara is supposed to be the main villian lets face it he's no orochimaru or Capt, Aizen.

True, but the only way I can see something like that happening and to make Sasuke get his 'redemption' is to have Madara turn on Sasuke, Itachi rushing back and 'jumping' in at the last minute to save his life, Naruto on the ropes screaming like the little bitch he is and Sasuke then realizing that he was being used and teaming up with Naruto to bring 'closure' to the overall story. The only other thing that's stopping the curtain from being drawn is the fact that Kishimoto said that the final fight is Naruto and Sasuke so some major arc has to happen for them to be that 'bitter' enemies as opposed to 'lost friends' hopefully Kishimoto would get back his 'senses'
I dont get how you can not understand his feelings. He lost his entire family by his brother who was he himself used by people who dont give a shit about him. So if you were Sasuke you'd honor your brother and go back to Konoha and take orders from those who ordered the death of your clan, your family, and wanted you dead too?
Sasuke isnt supposed to love his family? Just shutting up and getting back in line and following orders is something that someone who had no love for his family could do. Its understandable why he's so full of inconsolable rage. Sure Maybe wanting to kill everyone in konoha is taking it a little to far, but him hating Konoha is completely understandable.
This "shinobi world" is equal to the military. You take your orders. No ifs ands or buts about it. There are rules to the shinobi game and Sasuke isnt playing them. His brother knew he was being used. But agreed because it NEEDED to be done. He weighed his family's life against the lives of innocents (the people of Konoha) and made his decision. Sasuke shouldve respected that and instead he spit all over it and his brother's memory.
His brother is the only one who has played his role to the T and not complained ONCE about it. All you get is the exact opposite from Sasuke.

Well Itachi did push him into leaving the village. Sasuke was becoming perfectly content with staying in the village until Itachi showed up, beats his ass, and makes him relive his parents death for 24 hours straight. Sure it made Sasuke leave the village so Itachi could get rid of the curse mark and die at Sasuke's hand and make him look like a hero...but it got Sasuke to leave the village behind.

Itachi is going to die again. Probably sacrifice himself for someone. More than likely Naruto. Then Sasuke blames Naruto after he helps Naruto defeat Madara.....
