When you're broke you're a rebel but when you get paid all that animosity just seems to disappear case in point

:smh::smh::smh::smh::smh:
Yep he's looking like a real badass there. Oh yeah he did another interview where he takes another shot at Rock for some reason.

I've forgotten how much I've missed seeing RAW.. CM Punk went back into the vault and called Nash Super Shredder..:lol::lol:

Nattie's thick ass was wearing the fuck out of that dress.

I'm interesting in seeing where things go with Nash.Though I must admit I'm about as excited to see him in a match as I am to see Kelly Kelly in a match.

I thought I was the only one who peeped that shit :yes::yes:

I missed Miami-Maryland for this shit !!!!! Man Supercena was in rare form tonite, giving two guys the 5 knuckle shuffle, then putting Dolph in the AA, then getting Swagger to tap out, and then throwing Alberto out the ring !!!!! wow this guy is like fucking lame as fuck. I miss that old Nexus angle when he was getting destroyed weekly it seems.

WWE had two angles going for it: Punk and to a much lesser degree Beth Phoenix and Natalya and they're defanging both. Punk's not going nearly as hard as he was a couple months ago and the two chicks who were out to "save" the Divas division from models now dress up and don't wrestle.

"Super Shredder":lol::lol:

Truth and Miz...best part of the show

Tag titles coming soon.

Shout to tarizo. The IYH joints could be great and shitty but even the bad ones usually had one or two matches that were good.

Localized ads for the 2011 WWE Survivor Series in New York City are built around The Rock "returning to action" for the first time in "eight years" alongside John Cena.
Rock's last official match with the company was Wrestlemania XX, where he and Mick Foley lost a handicap match to Evolution's Randy Orton, Batista and Ric Flair in March 2004.

Now, the real question is whether he'll actually be wrestling or whether WWE was using the term in a vague way to promote that he'll appear on the PPV.

tag team back again
i'm trying to figure this out... Zack Ruder is chosen and they jobbed otunga and the other dude? I guess the king has a point since I can't remember their names right

The miz and truth... good team, good mic work, decent wrestling skills, and hate the name air boom

. They have my vote already.

Otunga and McGillicutty have something but the best I've seen Otunga, personality wise, is when he faced off with King last week. He showed some fire and he's been lacking that for a long time. He's not very good in the ring but he's always been solid on the mic and if the team is unimpressive, it's because Creative doesn't make them so. They never give them any promo time and they only have had one team to compete against since winning the belts and that was the Usos on SD which less than half the Raw audience even saw.

c/s on this. I'm still skeptical of the tag division especially with this new Raw "Supershow" format. On another note, I'm growing very tired of this "Super" Cena shit! Mark my words, in a minute the boos are gonna outweigh the cheers.

I tried to warn you that all his "Shooting" and constant sarcasm would get old, you can be great on the mic without having to bring up shit that people don't know or care about i.e Rock, Austin, Rhodes, Flair, Hayes, Ladd Brody. The easiest thing to do would be to blame HHH & Nash but i always felt Punk was on borrowed time because truth be told he was checked last week on SD by HHH. Cena's lame shot at Rock was dumb considering he was wearing a cap that looks like it should come with a propeller. Nash saying he made wrestling cool again was an obvious joke because he didn't even sell it like he meant it but i still:lol: at it. All in all a very piss poor Raw effort and with football returning this was real bad timing.

Timeline Of WWE 1997 Featuring Jim Cornette (Attitude Era)

TL008_cover_banner_3_copy.jpg

Jim Cornette is a wrestling purist, old-school almost to a fault. So it makes sense that he’d know plenty about finishes, angles, booking wrestlers, and writing television — all ages-old staples of the wrestling business. But in the latest edition of the shoot DVD series “Timeline: The History of WWE”, he tackles the year 1997 and deals with yet another old-school promoter’s concept:

The screwjob.

Who better to take us to the turbulent year of 1997 than Cornette? As a member of creative, Cornette was smack in the middle of the Bret/Shawn problem, as writers and executives pondered aloud, ‘what to do? What to do?’ Cornette may have had the best suggestion of all when he told Vince to book Bret with Shamrock instead of Michaels. “You’ll get the belt back,” he said.

Cornette is in finest form here in this edition of “Timeline” as both his valuable and delicious personas are tapped into — both the historical fundamentalist in him as well as the maniacal town crier. Adding to the intrigue, he has brought along his WWE agent journal to the shoot (yes, the actual book he filled with notes, numbers, and information during writing meetings and while on the road) and the most opinionated mouth in the wrestling business paints the Montreal portrait as a gradual buildup between two difficult wrestlers and a boss caught in the middle. The inmates were certainly in charge of the asylum at this time, and that volatile situation was a major contributor to the crisis in November 1997.

The critically acclaimed DVD series produced by Kayfabe Commentaries released the 1997 volume today and Jim Cornette is the guest taking us all back in time to the year that saw great controversy in Bret, Shawn, and Sable; great sadness in a phone call to Brian Pillman’s hotel; and the start of great success as Austin, Taker, and Rocky were beginning their massive pushes. Of course all of this has been spoken about in the wrestling press, but this series boasts credibility above all the other outlets — the story is being told by someone who was there…and has nothing to lose in telling the truth.

Kayfabe Commentaries President Sean Oliver says this quality alone sets the “Timeline” series’ credibility high above other releases. “How will you ever get abject honesty about a company from anyone taking a paycheck from them,” Oliver began. “The releases coming out of Connecticut are very slickly produced, but unfortunately contains the sanitizing of the information presented. This series was created because we will never get the real story of the WWE, warts and all.” Oliver says they don’t only want the dirt, but rather a true picture, the good and the bad.

“We want to capture the glory and the successes, but the failures and horror stories are just as important to the whole story. And our tour guides for the ‘Timeline: History of WWE’ episodes are the people who were there. No anecdotes, no historians. And most importantly … no one on the company tit.”

Cornette takes viewers on a 3+ hour journey through 1997 from the perspective of a writer on the WWE Creative staff. Yes, you’ll be at all the tapings. Yes, you’ll be at the writing meeting, wherein Cornette has to restrain himself from reaching across the table and collaring Kevin Dunn. This would lead to a very awkward “sitdown” at Vince’s dining room table with he and Dunn.

Russo you ask? Of course. Cornette details the exact moment Russo opened his mouth and was granted power by Vince McMahon. It’s classic Cornette, classic WWE.

They could have used the Punk feud and got him over and fucked it up. The only time Cena gets more than half the fans behind him is when he looks like he's really in jeopardy like the Nexus feud: Babyface Booking 101.

If that's what happened, I would have agreed with you then but it's not. Punk's not doing the same thing he was before SS. He's gone from the "anti-hero" to just another babyface.
The promos he cut this summer weren't, as I keep saying, "shoots" or very much even "work-shoots". He talked about things average fans could get behind without being "inside" fans. Not being seen as valuable and being looked over and passed over. That's shit people understand that never read one website and he was on that pulse. Now he's doing a bad impression of Jericho from early in the decade, shitting on Stephanie.

The problem is that short of what they initially did when Punk cut the promo and his first match with Cena they have dropped the ball with him. They brought him back to early, then they didn't let him beat Cena definitively instead letting Cena get his foot on the rope, and while I had no problem with the MITB cash in on him it being the result of Kevin Nash's interference has led to nothing that has elevated him.And they are now rushing him and HHH.This should be taking place at earliest at the Survivor Series not at the fucking Night of Champions. That said,Punk is doing about as well with what he's being given as he possibly could.
I have no problem with Nattie and Beth showing up out of the ring wear cause it shows that while they are legit in the ring they also are physically attractive. The real problem is that with them their actions should be alot louder than their words and right now it's the other way around.Laycool can talk a gang of shit cause they were lackluster in the ring.Let these two whoop some ass.

I didn't have a problem with the way Punk-Cena II ended because it sets up, in my mind and anyone with any sense, a third match. They wouldn't even have to do it immediately (since they rushed Punk-Cena II) and they could still sneak in ADR and Nash, maybe having Punk and Cena at Survivor Series and Punk and HHH at the Rumble or even Mania (long shot on that one seeing how impatient they are).
From what I've seen, Punk-HHH was meant for Survivor Series but Nash didn't pass his physical and wouldn't be ready in time for NoC.

If they wrestled and beat bitches up decisively, I wouldn't either. But the Bellas have been getting the majority of the in ring time or they paired them with someone else and had them lose. I guess to get that LayCool push, Beth's going to have to fuck somebody. Taker's gone so maybe Miz is available. It's gotta be a top guy. Fucking John Morrison will get her fired.

Obviously, we agree.

The Usos were being used regularly but I haven't seen them in a while either. I like their Samoan dance entrance but I don't think it's something they should do every week, like Samoa Joe only breaks out his Samoan thing for big shows.
I don't see how they don't see how important mic time is to young guys. Otunga isn't a good wrestler so let him talk. All that "I've been to the Grammys and I've been to the White House, I'm an A-lister" bullshit is instant heat. I thought his intro promo for NXT was great. When that nigga said "Google me." I lost it.

Worked-shoot is the term for any occurrence that is scripted by the creative team to come off as unscripted and therefore appear as though it were a real life happening but is, in fact, still part of the show. This can be seen as an example of the writers breaking the fourth wall and attempting to court the fans who are interested in shoots (e.g. events outside of the traditional in-ring wrestling matchups). This community of "smart" pro-wrestling fans are sometimes referred to as "smarks". Vince Russo, a professional wrestling writer, is noteworthy for frequently using this technique.

That is how his big "Summer Of Punk" started and calling out HHH Steph Vince and mentioning his friends that were fired were all part of his big angle. I know people want to believe Punk is the king of wrestling now but he made 1 big mistake imo, after the attacks on management got old he didn't switch up his style so now he comes off like a whiny bitch. Just imagine id SCSA did what Punk was doing now do you think he would've been as popular as he became? I'll end it with this do you remember when i said the true test for Punk was seeing if he could keep this up until WM? Well you just said he's not going nearly as hard as he was before and we're just into September.

I disagree. He did switch it up and seems like he took his foot off the accelerator.
Punk could do Punk for years. He's been doing it since the early part of the 00s. Whether he's allowed to do it is different.

And Punk is the runaway favorite for Wrestling's MVP for 2011. He gave Randy Orton his first good match in about 2 years and then gave John Cena the best two matches of his career and helped make him more interesting, for a hot second.

When did he switch it up? He was an elitist sarcastic prick before and he's the same now, the only difference is the name of the wrestler he's talking about.

On the Super SD show, he was great but it seems every time he and Nash are close to each other, his promos take a noticeable dip. The faux throwing up for it seemed like forever was Cena-like and unworthy of him. Him and HHH seem to have good chemistry but we already have a big stip match so it's downhill from here.

Now i see where we're differing on opinions because i thought he had the same song & dance on SD and HHH handled him. Nash is not 96-98 Nash anymore and it shows, but the true great ones can shine through anything do you you remember Rock vs Billy Gunn? I feel wrestling is like music today in the sense what acceptable today would be garbage in years past. CM Punk is considered epic now, but look at how shallow the talent pool is i mean who's his competition?

I remember nothing Rock did saved that feud. Really, what memorable promo or event happened in that feud?
I thought HHH was on his game and Punk was on the same level. Nash can't do it anymore and he drags everyone, HHH included, down.

As for SD
Punk: I want change, I want this to be fun, Im going to speak my mind PIPE BOMB!!!!
You can pretty much copy & paste his promos now but his fans will consider anything he does now EPIC!!! I swear if he farted they would say it was the most epic fart of all time.

D
You did not post that promo and then say about Punk that you can copy and paste his. Tell me you didn't say that (shout to Booker T:D).
Rock cuts that same promo, with squeaky voice thrown in, on Cena.
In fact, he just undercut a guy who the office was trying to push at the time. Lex Luger sucked for EVER but no one got on tv and told us he sucked. Bill Watts and Ole Anderson would have been on his ass as soon as he got pass the curtain.
Punk and HHH had a great segment when they weren't playing characters and came off realistic and having a serious conversation. I was worried when Punk sat down and kicked his feet up but they pulled it off.

Pay no attention to "news" that Nash was released. It's a work. Working the nets, nice to see the 90s back isn't it? No, not really.

Im assuming you're talking about Orton? If so then you've got to pick who you listen to more carefully. How much you wanna bet that at some point before NOC Punk will rehash his "change" promo and people will call it great. I know Rock had his catchphrases but you've seen the 11min vid of Rock's ether to Cena and i'll take that over the Punk is God crap. Let's be real here Punk said some things that we(fans)complained about so now we overrate everything he does/says.

My prediction is that by RR time Punk will be in the same boat as Nexus was last year, and with his new contract he probably won't mind as much. I know you love the guy but when you finally take off the shades and see what he(character)really is then you'll see that this was a gigantic fail and complete waste of time. The next big event is Survivor Series and unfortunately for Punk that's geared more towards a Cena/Rock showdown, unless it Cena vs Punk and Rock interferes and Rock Bottoms both of them.

Nash really is injured but not from wrestling or storyline he just old really really old:lol:

 Orton? I mean Gunn. Rock just cut down Gunn while the office was still trying to push him. That would have been completely unacceptable in years past. It's not about catchphrases, everyone has those, it's how he uses his promos that, to me, keep him out of the elite category with Flair, Rhodes, and Jim Cornette.
I do think with Punk saying what a lot of fans are thinking is the hook. Pointing out the stupid shit is the best part of the gimmick. "Why have a contract signing when you're the boss and made the match on Raw?" Yeah, that's what a lot of people were thinking. He loses when gets silly and Miz killed him when he pointed that out and he cut back.

Even if that's true, that's not on him, that's on (the misnamed) Creative. Nexus didn't flop because people didn't care, it flopped because it had poor follow through and execution. For him to not be a feature player come Mania would be an epic fail for WWE. Punk's shown he can get it done in the ring and on the mic, it's up to management to take advantage. But as soon as he re-signed, it was back to business as usual.
I do love the guy. I love any wrestler that can work and talk. I love Rock too, I just think WWE shouldn't let a visiting celebrity shit on the guy (Cena, who I've warmed up to but still not a big fan) who they need to make money and new stars with.

He needs months to get into shape to perform for WWE. Damn Kev.

Okay, so Big Kev got another movie role and they won't insure him if he's wrestling. That's why he was "released".

JIM CORNETTE!!!!! Now that is one name im sick of hearing, i actually think he whines more than Punk and there's a reason people get tired of him. Secondly stop calling Rock a visiting celebrity because that's just a cleverly disguised diss towards him, i mean do you consider SCSA or Hogan a visiting celeb when they made appearances? As far as Nash goes i wouldn't insure him because.....HE'S NASH.

I have to agree. The problem with the Rock's promo wasn't that he clowned Gunn it's that he completely shit on Gunn while giving him absolutely no credit. You can talk shit and put over a guy or at least make it sound like the guy who the company is trying to elevate by having him feud with you is an actual threat.Instead he says the guy sucks, mocks him and gives him credit for nothing.
Plus when Austin got over as Dave Lagana has mentioned a few times it was over a year between the 3:16 promo and his match with Bret Hart that was the final part of him being one of the biggest people in the industry.SCSA had people around who he could work with and be elevated from working with whether it was Hart,HBK,Taker, etc.Punk has nobody who can do that.Cena and Orton don't have that power or at least they couldn't do it for Punk.About the only people with that type of credibility are HHH and Taker.Taker is always hurt and they are rushing the thing with HHH.

As for the comment dirty d made about Punk and the "pipe bomb" he made that comment in 1 promo about the mic being a pipe bomb in his hands. And he said pipe bomb at the end of 1 promo. It's not something that he's using as a catchphrase.
