in Atl - Tassa Roti Shop in Marietta makes it 20 times better because its fucking buffet style.... buss up shut/ roti/ curry mango/dhalpari the whole 9 yards.

who know's a spot in Detroit that I could get some?

I could proably teach you guys Herr on BGOL how to make roti.

I watched and helped my grandmother make that shit growing up everyday by the 100's fulfilling orders.

I'll do a write up later.

I wonder why when I order chicken roti some places use chicken with the bone.:angry: That makes no sense to me since they wrap it up as if it was a patty. WTF?!?!

Parents from Grenada, I'm from St.Croix. Grew up in Baytown,Texas where 90% of the black people there are all West Indian.

Why do you think I always talk about "Hard work"! :LOL

I grew up in Baytown also.Yeah Baytown is mostly as far as blacks is Island based or Lousiana based.

There's a Roti shop in Uxbridge Road in Shepherd's Bush, West London.

Off the chain. People come from all over London just to this place.

just go to an indian restuarant

Never go to an Indian restaurant looking for roti. Indian roti is just the bake/ skin and they have many styles of roti- dhal pourie, parata, and sada are only 3 of them.

Never ever, ever, ever get roti from a Jamaican restaurant... They can't even try to do it right. Always get it from either Trini or Guyanese. I won't get into who makes it better, but as a Trini I definitly prefer Trini to Guyanese.

BTW for me -best Roti in NYC goes something like this:
Gloria's (Nostrand and Empire)
Ali's (fulton)
the spot on church (never remember its name, but I can drive there in my sleep)
the spot mentioned in the bronx, not too far from the zoo.

Honorable mentions:
TriniGul is very new, but nice food (really friendly family)
Singhs on Liberty Ave in Queens (they almost always, have everything, from 5a to after 11p they will have roti and almost anything else you could ask for.

Oh yeah - for the young one complaining about chicken bones in his roti... boneless chicken roti is new, a beer is a Carib and roti is not a patty
