Lol right. Kinda weird to take a verse you supposed to be talking about subject matter and flipping it to a diss- on someone else's song. It's like he wants protection from the other guy in the song lol

And common jumped back on it and KILLED him lol. After that Drake stfu and went to crying about it in interviews.

And yeah he TOTALLY steers clear if Kendrick, who is just as relevant if not more. He would rather only be in battles he can lean on his popularity to "win". If he dropped a song using his reach against Kendrick, Kendrick would have the same reach and his fans would have to base it solely on bars lol. Kendrick gave him a few taps and he went to interviews crying.he was the ONLY one who got offended by Kendrick saying he's out to body everybody lol
Real fucking shit!

Straight bitch move..I noticed that on stay scheming..

Nigga felt hard cause Ross and them were on the track...like Common was going to get spooked! Common went at the West Side Connection

He went right in on Meek cause he knew his fan base was a bunch of kids and lame hood niggas.

He bitched out on Kendrick but I will call him smart for doing that...if he would have let his ego take over and jumped off the porch, Kendrick would have finished that nigga!

This thing with the Joe situation pisses me off because the status quo says Joe is washed up....umm No..Joe stays with the bars but to lame Drake fans he is irrevelant rapper that is doing this to get some exposure!

Drake's a bitch man and that is coming from a nigga that thought he had bars(not anymore cause he has ghost writers)

How man

How many diss records got radio play? When did diss records become about radio play or who had the most money. It's always been about bars.

Shit too many to name .... All were relevant artist that's the point lol

Fam, some of the best disses every got no radio play (outside of DJ free spins... next to no rotation). That's revisionist history. Once again, Drake fans rewriting history to try to help him out. At some point we gotta stop caping for this nigga.

Hit Em Up = no
No Vaseline = No
Bitch in Yoo = No
Against All Odds = no
Takeover = No (maybe I'm wrong here, but I remember just having it on the CD)
None of the Beans vs Jada shit got any rotation

These are ICONIC battles and weren't rotation tracks on Clear Channel/Viacom stations for whatever reasons. Disses have never been about radio play. We've never determined who won a battle by relevance or radio play. Try again

NY radio was playing them shits heavy man

The overall point here why is Budden wasting his time? Real heads know he light years better than drake.. Logical heads know Joe wasting his time as well cause 1. These lil niggas ain't listening to no Buddens and 2. Drake is in a position where he don't have to outright respond but take a shot here and there and keep it moving.. The needle won't move from his corner either way

Tons of diss songs got radio play but that's not how you rate how good it was.

Bars are bars. Fuck radio play

Joe was on Breaskfast club, saying he called Drake and let him know it was kool he was smash some chick...

Drake supposedly went at Joe on the song where he went thought every hot song Bad Boy made.

After this what the fuck happen...

Neither????

Although Budden's downfall was that he couldn't keep musical muscle behind him consistently, I don't see Drake, the king of falsetto whiny rap, transcending time.

He has yet to have a critically, artistically, acclaimed album. He's had popular albums. But so has Vanilla Ice.

*two cents *

Drake raps better than Joe....:roflmao3:

Jeeze. Drake's lyrics are horrible. I don't even know what his songs are about. Every time I hear Drake on the radio I change the station. one of, if not the, most overrated rappers of all time.

I refuse to even call him a rapper for real. I've noticed that most who claims otherwise are usually millennial kids, or older 90's heads who've grown comfortable with the status quo of this rap game.

But I call that spade a spade. Dude is hot garbage in a privileged position, and plays the duck and dodge game real well. Takes shots from afar and doesn't respond to those he KNOWS he can't bang with.

I'm still waiting for the Common response..

COLIN POWELL WARNING:

Here's how it started (family can chime in if I happen to miss anything....I've been following Joe's podcast since the beginning so I've been paying attention)....And for the record, I've listened to Drake since "Comeback Season" so you know I'm not biased. But Drake has been acting like a bitch lately, so from this point forward he will be known as "Aubrey."

-Back in the Joe Budden TV days (before/when So Far Gone dropped,) Aubrey and Joe meet. Aubrey admits (on camera, in fact) that he's a Joe Budden stan. They stay cool and in contact, and over time end up fuckin a LOT on bitches in common.

-Some years later (when Aubrey blows up, he calls Joe, admitting he smashed Tahiry, Joe's recent ex at the time. Joe blows it off and gives him the OK, saying there's "No love lost." (see what I did there.) Joe obviously still feels a certain type of way though.

-Aubrey and Meek exchange disses...and Joe STILL supports/defends Aubrey and says Fuck Meek...and fuck Nikki too.

-"Views" drops. Joe critiques it on the "I'll name this podcast later" podcast for an hour plus, saying Aubrey no longer sounds "inspired" (fact) and that he picks on the little guy (all of the shots taken at Tory Lanez, yet Aubrey ignores Pusha, Common, and K.Dot when they come for him.) Joe STILL admits that he loves Aubrey's music.

-Aubrey records "No Shopping" with French in May...French leaks the "Pump pump pump it up" line...Joe sees the clip and hits the studio and starts writing "Afraid" and records it...but doesn't release it until the French track is released. Joe also starts writing two more Aubrey disses

-Aubrey drops "4pm in Calabasas, which most ppl think is a 100% Diddy diss....but its not. About 90% of the song is directed toward Joe....not even Joe realizes this at first.

-Once Joe "wakes up" and sees all of the subs Aubrey gave him on "4pm," he drops "Making a Murderer pt. 1" and then drops "Wake" a few days later.....and Aubrey has YET to respond to ANY of the records :itsawrap:

-Joe finally releases "Afraid," then French's "No Shopping" ft. Aubrey is released (folks think that "No Shopping" is a response to "Afraid," but it was actually recorded MONTHS ago, after Joe did the podcast dissing "Views...")

Aubrey KNOWS he can't fuck with Joe lyrically....but Joe is such a self-admitted sociopath that he refuses to let it go until Aubrey responds. He even admits to LOVING the "4pm in Calabasas track, because he sees the "hunger" in Aubrey again. I almost feel like Joe maybe trolling Aubrey because a) he KNOWS that he will destroy him lyrically b) Joe doesn't give a fuck about popularity and c) Hip Hop was BUILT on competition....

Aiight I'm done. :lol2:

*sidenote: I am NOT Joe Budden. I promise. *

Y'all dudes pick strange sides and battles. You can't come up with a Metric to judge who is the best so the best is who ever you like.

Ok. I DIDNT KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON. This is interesting.

Battles are meant to bring out the best in a rappers skills.

He or she is sposed to write his own lyrics and engage the battle without fear.

This is the shit that Hip Hop was built on.

Whoever wins wins and then they shake hands or prop each other over the good hits later on in life. Like a good boxing match - get the money but show the skills while you do it.

Yeah...he's popular.

So was Justin Beiber.

Popular doesn't translate to great or even good.

Entertainment is all acting. I don't believe most rappers are what they claim beyond a select few. Even then I think they embellish. But Drake... Ninja just smells like a herb. That's why I think he stays in so many beefs. Other people see it too, and pull his card. Then he goes and plays the "everybody is picking on me cause I'm hot" shit. Drake has been suspect talent wise since he came out. But the bitches like him so his talent doesn't really matter. Drake isn't keeping anything interesting on purpose, he's just a mark...

O was gonna say Buddens should make a diss mixtape about Drake.

But Luda already did that. And Drake never responded.

I get the feeling this one wont get swept under the rug.

Luda crushed Aubrey's soul in the first 3 tracks!!!
