Yvette Carnell and Talib Kweli Are Now Beefing. Talib Is Against ADOS

I also did Ancestry.com and hit a wall. Same thing happened to a few of my black neighbors.
i reread my OP and I came off a bit harsh.
apologies.

Basically if you can only trace your lineage to somewhere in the South, somewhere in the 1850's and 1860's, its a great chance you descended out of slave forebears.
The census as mandated by the US Constitution been around since 1790.
Its detailed enough.

Too Many Entertainers speaking on things they really don't understand and when it backfires they start acting a fool.

He needs to be on the phone with Mos working out the details on a new Blackstar Album instead of looking like a dufus on twitter.
TRUTH. Seems like a lot Black Hollywood celeb types are starting to look treacherous to the rest of the black community now.

Sorry fellas I was late to the party (again:rolleyes2:) but with regards to what was said about the records a few posts above...

They kept records because they were receipts.

Receipts are proofs of purchase of a transaction of business.

The business of buying and selling of other human beings:hmm:.

B I N G O......I don't understand why some people can't get that through their thick head.

It's time to PAY UP...

Talib Kweli is not ADOS. He is Haitian. Might explain why he speaks so strongly against ADOS, he doesnt feel included. Him constantly referring to folks as "jew hating nazi's" gives us a slight glimpse into who's interests he campaigns for.

Talib is Haitian?

I never knew that. In all the comments Im reading most people dont seem to know either.

Remember I kept telling you about not even being able to differentiate between ADOS and Haitian Americans... Proves my point.

Yes he is Haitian. And yes most Caribbean Americans culturally run with ADOS so its hard to distinguish going by just skin tone. It only becomes an issue when people hide their ancestry while speaking for or against ADOS interests or people downplay ADOS lineage and ancestors as unimportant to promote a "skin tone is all that should matter" agenda.

When people are up front about who and where they came from people respect it more. When we gotta dig up and use resources to find out you really aint ADOS speaking on ADOS it sends red flags. Theres a gang of west indians and afrikans, immigrants and those in their mainlands that genuinely support ADOS and see no need to pretend to speak for us.

Are you familiar with what happened between the Hutu and Tutsi in Rawanda in the 90's? Your wet dreams of tribalism among black people is disgusting.

Africa is a very large continent filled with many cultures, tribes, and nationalities. Always has been. The concept of "race" was introduced by the Europeans. Prior to it, thru out human history most societies used lineage or ancestry to distinguish themselves. We're both black brother, but I aint Grenadan. You know this. You nor your family has relinquished your roots nor forgotten your family members, stop asking ADOS to forget ours.

And your attempt to liken ADOS with Rwanda is the same old Democratic fear mongering. If we're so vicious potentially why the need to be aligned with ADOS so bad?

I'm only pointing that out with you. You have sort of greasy axe to grind with other black folks for some reason. You and yuck mouth Yvette.

Had a dude I grew up with 3 days ago say "fuck y'all Caribbean and Africans we ADOS for life". So I say what you mean, you serious? He responds, "we ain't fucking with outsiders"...I said "we"...homie we played basketball together and ate lunch at the same table for 2 years. He didn't realize one of his oldest high school friends was American/Caribbean.

You keep saying "we" feel left out? Left out of what? The invisible money you haven't gotten? Foh

*and before you start rambling. I support reperations, I don't support separating and attacking other black folks in America.

I ain't NEVER heard that and I even been to his book store.

I consider myself a day one fan too. He ALWAYS shows Haiti respect and love but I never heard him claim it.

I need some verification

Your friend is ignorant but doesnt represent the majority of sentiment anymore than some Nigerians calling us "akata" or some West Indians stereotyping us as "lazy and immoral" represents the majority of their sentiment.

Most ADOS barely travel outside the States or have passports so you dont really see ADOS moving to other countries and being disrespectful towards natives like we have some non ADOS do here. And there are examples of ADOS being taxed or taken advantage of under the assumption we have money in other countries of the diaspora. It cuts both ways. Thankfully we have the internet and social media where we can communicate directly with our bros across the globe and resolve our issues and gain understanding.

Brother are you implying Im biased against those who arent ADOS? Simply because I recognize that I am? Thats foolish. Show me the thread Ive dumped on or told another tribe what they should be doing.

As for Yvette, the fact you dudes cant stop talkin bout her and seem so scared of her is bizarre to me. If you wouldve told me 4 years ago I would be sayin that today I wouldve cried laughing.

Do you want me to pull up multiple posts you've made where you've implied that "we don't want you to get reparations because we feel left out"?

In this same thread, you've said be wary of those who aren't ADOS and have some subversive intent against you and the struggle for reparations.

Yes sir. You and yuck mouth Yvette have issues with black folks living in America with roots from elsewhere.

You do feel left out Drayonis. You cant stop talking about reperations and paychecks. This is all about monetary gain to you. Notice in my previous post I made no mention of either and talked about lineage. Something you just cant relate to and it angers you.

Weve already seen your post where you differentiated yourself and critiqued black Americans as being shiftless. Now you likening us to Rwanda?

You dont have 1 post bigging up our ADOS ancestors for paving the way for you and your family to immigrate here and look down on us brother. Youve pretty much reduced them to a paycheck and been carrying water for the Democrats. We're different culturally bro, its Ok, you'll live.

As a child of Haitian immigrants...

Let me say this.

The slave trade was all along the islands

We ALL suffered.

I cannot begin to comprehend any type of division between Black people.

African, Caribbean, American or otherwise

It aint about money

This a blood debt.

Asians, Jews and native Americans and other entire COUNTRIES have been compensated

The blood ties between Haiti and New Orleans is real.

Haitian and Caribbean people contributions to the foundation of this country is real.

First off aint no amount of money gonna make this all right.

"We" dont WANT to be included

we ARE included, we ALL Black.

This constant search for division within our own family is absurd.

And to me THAT is the real reason reparation won't ever happen

White folk know we aint gonna unite.

Brother your name is playahaitian, not playablack. Why is it acceptable for you to recognize your roots but its divisive when ADOS does it? Do you tell Haitian Americans to stop considering themselves to be Haitian and view themselves strictly as black americans? We love and respect all of the cultures and tribes of the diaspora, we just need them to respect ours and its current justice movement.

Finding out way later on that dudes parents or grandparents who where from somewhere else happened to me more then a few times. I never would have guessed unless i was told. Didnt change who they were one bit. Doesnt change the fact that there ARE culture differences between us, but the idea that we are against each other or that we dont mix is just false.

first off I think this is a great healthy debate and awesome points coming from both sides..

but what Im sayin is there are morons in every culture bruh... yours, mine, hers an his...

I grew up around mostly west indian fam, and I heard first hand how, they would always make an effort

to distinguish themselves from being associated with the "african american" label.

I remember one time in brooklyn pickin up some of that legendary brooklyn skunk back in the mid ninties..

I pulled up to a noted jamaican bakery on nostrand ave...

and when this crackhead who happend to be a jamaican chick...

heard my yankee accent.. she started talkin about how there is a war with american black and west indians..

well there was sort of but that was about taking over blocks strictly drug game..

but this bitch was like... its a war... we caribbeans gonna join together blah blah blah.

I was like you sound foolish because we all one people..

she yelled.. DEY KEEEEL YA FO DAT... then she made a gun with her fingers and started lickin shots..

I said well they killed jesus for telling the truth right..

minds were fuckin BLOWN in the whole store, dude behind the counter was like

yes bruddah what can I get fo you.. I wasnt even next in line and nobody complained..

see I grew up around my west indian fam and when you mention jesus or the blood of jesus

99.9 percent of the time...

its a wrap in yo favor...

she had to walk out the sto bruh..

Im sayin assholes are all over bruh

you cant point out ONE and say see

how fucked up YALL are!

I was using my homie as an example of how some of the ADOS movement is turning into tribalism and ignorance. It wasn't a broad brush of African Americans at large. Just pointing out that the New ADOS movement is telling certain people to attack other certain people. and the shit is working.

Of course, there are idiots in every group.

Have West Indians and Africans been aloof to American Blacks? Absolutely!

I've heard it throughout my life and with certain older family members. But I'm telling the brothers the same thing I told those same family members. BLACK is BLACK. Im getting called ******* on my way to school as a kid by white people - all they see is black skin.

I support Black people and Black Americans I grew up here like Playahatian said we are you. Listened to the same music, chased the same women and face the same racism I've faced here my whole life. Black Americans have a rich history in America and the world. I ate soul food and West Indian food growing up, so my shit is intertwined with the fabric of America.

Honestly i still dont see anyone who is against ADOS getting reparations.

There's a vocal minority of non ADOS against it. Obviously Democrats, black and white as well. Some ADOS coons are starting to pop up and speak against it.

The trick for them is they have to portray ADOS as being discriminatory even though it is very inclusive. We're talking about 30 to 40 million people. Male, female, young, old, straight, gay, liberal, conservative. You can be from NC like me or from Cali, Chi-Town, NY, Memphis, Dallas, wherever. The opponents of ADOS are basically going to war with a national bloodline basically. Good luck with that.

As for the claims ADOS is breeding xenophobia I haven't found any evidence of ADOS sponsored violence towards non ADOS. Havent heard of any boycotts or calls for massive deportation. This is just 1 of those rare times ADOS is getting on code en masse and its got folks nervous.

Playahaitian is a play on playa hater.
And Wyclef kinda gave it to me.

I big up Haitian cause when i was coming up? Haitians Jamaicans etc would get teased and jumped not by whites

It was something we were made to be ashamed of.

By American blacks.

We were hated by our own.

Funny thing? I had WHITE kids get mad when i was in grade school when i say I'm Haitian. And say i was born in the US i was American!

But THEY rocking Italian t shirts and flags to school

They parents having meetings telling my parents i aint welcome a few hours later.

And it aint unique. WE Blacks do it all the time.

Light skin v dark skin

African v American v any where else

East v west

Southern v northern

City v country

Educated v "uneducated"

Urban v suburban

I don't really care what you want to label youself. Or roots you wanna claim

But YOUR roots MY roots OUR roots are all African Jamaican Haitian etc etc etc

This all funny to me...

Cause the ones in POWER? who oppressing killing raping shooting disenfranchising us?

All they see is a bunch of ******* complaining and begging.

White folk claim irish, Italian etc EXTRA HARD.

But unite against us very easily. Funny how that works out huh?

All I'm saying is united we stronger.

But then again maybe I'm wrong?

Cause nobody in my circle talks or thinks like you on this...

We all in this together, BLACK, cause we all we got.

again i dont really understand ADOS fully.

So i hate coming from a place of ignorance on a topic.

I'm just against further unnecessary division

I am NOT telling you who or what you are

That is your decision

I got no issues.

Sidebar: Apparently me and @rage @wise @Drayonis ain't descended from slaves.

Who knew!

I refuse to even ATTEMPT to give a more honest well thought out impassioned hearfelt plea than that.

If ANYONE reads THAT?

And still don't get it?

Well that says it all right there.

I think we about done here.

It is not division. Its simply for the longest time ADOS is and was expected to just be "black" while everyone else in the diaspora can rep their flag and tribe. And immigrants by nature, whether they are black, white, green tend to hold on to their cultural norms and identity as way of advancement. Nothing wrong with that at all. In fact, you NEVER in these threads or in the streets hear ADOS tell non ADOS to stop repping their shit or that they should just view themselves as "black".

Sidebar: Apparently me and @rage @wise @Drayonis ain't descended from slaves.

Who knew!

I dont think anybody said you werent descended from slaves, you're projecting emotionally. But if your descendants didnt toil in the antebellum south and later immigrated to America you're not ADOS. Just like Im not Haitian. If you or Drayonis want to take up a fight with France or Great Britain, ADOS would support just like we've supported the liberation of black people all over the globe forever.

I notice you danced past my post where I asked you to produce where I ever said Black Americans were shiftless. If you have to make up lies in order for you to feel like you've won a debate you've already lost.

So you didnt say you cant figure out why black americans cant it get together? "My parents came over here with $20 and made it yada yada yada"? That implies blacks are "shiftless" and "unfocused" and there's no systematic oppression involved in their lack of advancement, its just inherent. White supremacists vet immigrants to have sentiments just like that bro. I had a Nigerian professor in college that told us as much when he immigrated here in the 60s. The whites told him to stay away from blacks and that he was better and more exceptional and he said he actually believed it. He also believed ALL whites were good people. Until he started working at the HBCU and interacting with his ADOS colleagues and learning ADOS history.

If you really want us to believe you care about ADOS interest brother, you have to stop suckling from the tit of the Democratic Party. You cant hollar you are for black interests being so faithful to a white political party. You should be pressing the whites in the party the way you are pressing ADOS. But I doubt you do. Thats why we're closing ranks brother. Nothing personal, just business. And hopefully when this is over, we can get our brothers and sisters in Grenada what it due to them.

You know I wasnt talking about cacs or coons obviously.

I dont see how a black person can ever make an intelligent argument against ADOS getting reparations.

Pull it up....

He's retired now and owns 5 homes.... My Mom was a nurses aid and my dad was carpenter. No real education outside of some college....take it as you will."

So pointing out something my parents said means that I think black Americans are shiftless and lazy? Not even close bro. I'm pointing out a mindset my parents had.

Also, you left on the first part of the whole thing I said.

"It's harder to make it there than it is here. Education is free and the government is more geared towards success. You have roads that are fully constructed that lead to the school, where in other countries, you walking on grass and stone to get where you have to go.

My parents laughed when how Black Americans have everything in front of them but won't take advantage. My dad came to America with $300 dollars and no where to live. He's retired now and owns 5 homes...."

-You can't post half what I said in order to twist what I said.

Thats a GOP talkin point brother. Sean Hannity talks like that. And there was no "we" in your comment. You clearly implied you and your fam are different. That thread is littered with that sentiment.
