Yvette Carnell and Talib Kweli Are Now Beefing. Talib Is Against ADOS

"Black Americans have everything in front of them but wont take advantage"

Thats a GOP talkin point brother. Sean Hannity talks like that. And there was no "we" in your comment. You clearly implied you and your fam are different. That thread is littered with that sentiment.

Everything as in FREE SCHOOL. Loans and grants for education. Where my parents are from there is NONE of those safety nets. No system in place to give you a leg up. So his point is that you have it better than us from the get. If you are in high school and dropping out (when it's already free) then you can't make excuses and that has nothing to do with anything other than you don't want to do it.

Yvette Carnell is a joke that is being used.....she's a useful idiot.

Her ADOS thing has morphed into talk of not voting and really that's what a lot of people want.

Also the fact that she was bitter cause Black voters rejected her favorite, Bernie Sanders, in 2016 tells you a lot. Her favorite is an old white man that lies about his civil rights background.

Thats interesting because ADOS is going hard at Bernie under her supervision right now. Jew Bernie is getting destroyed for his Breakfast Club interview like bedwench Kamala.

Talib got a point. I've also seen ADOS people praising Trump. By next year I guarentee there will be calls to not vote to teach people a lesson

You hear that ADOS nation? If the Democrats choke again in 2020, guess who will be getting the blame for it? The same folks some of the non ADOS Democrats blamed after 2016. Threw us all under the bus.

Why do some people think that everything that Trump says is a lie (in reference to Talibs tweets)?
That's some shit I'll never understand, but I get it.
Dems good people to always trust,
Repubs bad people to never trust.

"My parents laughed when how Black Americans have everything in front of them but won't take advantage. My dad came to America with $300 dollars and no where to live. He's retired now and owns 5 homes.... My Mom was a nurses aid and my dad was carpenter. No real education outside of some college....take it as you will."
.
Only ones who can "laugh" at the plight of the black American are the ones who came post 1960 when the bulk of the heavy lifting was done. They literally benefit off the blood shed of black Americans while thumbing their noses at their overall predicament.

Yea i posted that long ass article in the other thread highlighting all the road blocks white supremacist put up to keep Haitians, Jamaicans, Nigerians out of this country in the 1900s. ADOS always fought on their behalf and always opened their neighborhoods up to our bros cuz they damn sure wasnt going to live or set up businesses in CAC neighborhoods. The fact some are so dismissive of our culture or barely recognize the sacrifices we've made here is dissapointing. I think its fly our west indian bros and afrikan bros rep their tribes. Hopefully one day some of them wont feel so threatened we do the same.

School is really what its all about.

In Haiti the level of illiteracy is insane, because there is no access to schools. People are starving for an opportunity to just learn how to read and write.

All the higher ed schools are in the capital and cost a fortune. Families pull all their money together just to send ONE member to university.

So when they come here at first and find out about schools right around the corner, and universities an hour away, and they realize that not everyone takes advantage of the opportunities, they cant understand it.

You cant expect immigrants to come here and just magically understand everything right away.

Brother your name is playahaitian, not playablack. Why is it acceptable for you to recognize your roots but its divisive when ADOS does it? Do you tell Haitian Americans to stop considering themselves to be Haitian and view themselves strictly as black americans? We love and respect all of the cultures and tribes of the diaspora, we just need them to respect ours and its current justice movement.

This is all good. Just that there are some leaders in the ADOS movement who have an anti black demeanor that will only hurt the reparations movement. And it's all based on the false narrative that black immigrants were not involved with past struggles that black Americans went through to get some basic civil rights. It's a lie. A lie that keeps getting repeated by a few leaders in the #ADOS movement that makes me question their motives.

All of that is true but some ADOS want to forget that those of us who been here long enough have fought the same fight you fought along with you. Long list of first or second generation immigrants who are activists.

This is exactly what @Amajorfucup was talking about earlier ^^^^^^^

Is this something you heard ADOS said with which you have tangible proof or is this your own feeling?

That's exactly what my parents point was. And I stand by that.

It is not division. Its simply for the longest time ADOS is and was expected to just be "black" while everyone else in the diaspora can rep their flag and tribe. And immigrants by nature, whether they are black, white, green tend to hold on to their cultural norms and identity as way of advancement. Nothing wrong with that at all. In fact, you NEVER in these threads or in the streets hear ADOS tell non ADOS to stop repping their shit or that they should just view themselves as "black".

I dont think anybody said you werent descended from slaves, you're projecting emotionally. But if your descendants didnt toil in the antebellum south and later immigrated to America you're not ADOS. Just like Im not Haitian. If you or Drayonis want to take up a fight with France or Great Britain, ADOS would support just like we've supported the liberation of black people all over the globe forever.

Listen i don't need to be in club

But when these white folks tripping?

Unfortunately they aint gonna ask me for no membership card.

Again if y'all want to start your own club cool with me.

I'm Black. I'm American. I'm African. I'm Caribbean.

I am proud of my heritage kings queens enslaved pioneers innovators.

I'm Black proud as f*ck love my people

Its clear you dont really respect black American culture by your comments bro. When you go to carnival and see all the Jamaicans, Haitians, Trinis etc differentiating themselves be sure to tell them to put the flags down, that all whites see them as the same. And they are being divisive against ADOS. Stop repping islands, we all black.

That's what I've been told.

Oh ok f*ck that shit

Sorry i even said anything

I should of known once somehow Talib became Haitian this was some trash.

Happy for "them" then

Whats that old saying?

I never would want to be part of a club that would want me as a member.

Black Americans been begging me to join up, Haitians said i wasnt real Haitian.

Till the cops come... lawyers and bail

Then I'm everybody brother

I really really hope MONEY from the oppressor gonna solve all they problems

That's what I've been told.

I was told black Americans are not a part of west indian culture. I dont hear much ADOS music when i go to the afropop and not sure if we got a spot at any carnivals. Are you gonna fight to change that brother?

@Drayonis @raze

I'm lost on this whole thing?

What they think we "immigrants" gonna try to get in on they reparation money?

It's not like that.

When it comes to reparations there has to be a LEGACY of financial, social and psychological oppression against a specific entity.

If your background is Haitian...you make demands from France...we support that 100% and will fight with you shoulder to shoulder.

Our (ADOS) specific entity is the US government that made promises to my ancestors and broke every single one while also making my ancestors' descendants (many cats on this board) a pariah in our own country till this fucking day.

I am really 100% lost on why cats dont get this.

And you are an immigrant....nothing wrong with that.

Shit, I'm an immigrant in Canada, but my ancestors bones are buried in the southern US at least 200 years back. I wont ask Canada for shit, but a bill is due in the USA. It will get paid one way or another.

...and I havent lived in the US for almost a decade but I understand that a bill is overdue.

People who see ADOS as not having a culture or look down on it. I assure you Playahaitian would never tell a Jamaican that he aint Jamaican hes just black and we all the same. And its funny how instinctively its "ADOS vs everyone in the diaspora". Their cultural differences and nationalities dont seem to prevent them from "teaming up" against the ADOS movement. ADOS needs to see that too many in the diaspora dont respect us if we arent benefiting them.

If I call out MJ and Floyd as coons who are both ADOS thats ok. If I say Talib is Haitian and cooning, oh we need verification. See how that works?

Bruh, we are not talking about "civil rights" struggles.

We are talking about going back to the emancipation proclamation and before then. We are talking at least 2 centuries.

I hate to say it but you are right....and my wife has a vincentian background.

I am so confused about how cats feel threatened by ADOS.

Why not ride for us?

We have always rode for them.

Some of em look down on us bro and are directly competing against us. Us collectivizing in the same manner they do works against their perceived interests so the minimize us as money hungry and tell us acknowledging our culture is divisive. Then they go to Carnival. :roflmao2:

Honestly fam no one in this thread said anything remotely close to that.

I notice you keep building strawmen just to have fun in this thread.

While we're on the field fighting like gladiators over who's legit and who isn't, look who's sitting in the stands cheering us on. People fighting over a bag that ain't coming. sigh...

You are talking about 2 centuries ago. Some ADOS leaders are talking about recent struggles. You can find them on Twitter also saying dumb shit like some Nigerian said something bad about ADOS so that's proof that all Africans are enemies to black Americans.

They're not about heritage. They're about shitting on black people not born in the US. Look up Ivette's YouTube page and check out the ADOS hashtag on Twitter.

No ones fighting over whos legit. You either ADOS or you aint. You either support us or you dont. A vocal minority is venting and being disingenuous. ADOS is 40 million strong and went from "russian Bots" to the National convo in 2 weeks. Democrats shook, everything is working.
