I've realized some people just don't see big picture. Progress is made in steps. That's whether the progress is good or bad. Censorship comes in steps.
You make a fair point about being pro-censorship while on BGOL. This site would be considered a hate site by extremists on the left(pussies too soft to let an Internet barbershop exist). They'd love to censor it and get member's real info to -- as the hippies say it these days -- shame members.
Think about it. Other sites that are 'wild' by today's soft standards talk about this place like it's where demons hang out.
I know I for one see the big picture, but this idea of “censorship” is not cut and dry. The same cats crying censorship would not be crying the same if youtube said they were making all white nationalist videos hard to find.
So, If you know Russians are posting youtube vids to sway an election, do you just let them rock? I mean you don’t want to censor anything. If people post videos of your old lady from a webcam they installed in a dressing room, do you let them rock?
If people post youtube videos saying Hillary Clinton is running a child sex ring in the basement of a pizza parlor which leads to an armed crazy shooting into the place, do you let it all rock?
Do you let Trump post videos with doctored footage of illegals storming the border to convince a large enough group of people that we are actually at war so he can claim martial law, do you let him rock?
Youtube/google is deciding that certain parts of their platform are causing more harm than good.
This isn’t the government altering all web traffic. So now you’re going to tell companies what they can do with their own platform?
The only reason most of the cats in this thread are complaining is because google labeled flat earth and 9/11 truthers as conspiracies.

My views on the issue have already been echoed in this thread so no need to repeat. Yeah they are just trying destroy any info that may be a real threat to the power brokers. Look at how many careers twitter has ended or damaged.
