You know you're from Houston if...

You can sing the song from the old Thunderbolt Transmission commercial word-for-word: “We put the Yeeeeee-Haaaaaw back in your motor and transmission!”

You’ve ever sat up watching the news waiting to see which restaurant has “SLIIIIIME IN THE ICE MACHINE!!!”

You hear someone say WILL-OW-ridge High School and look at them funny because they didn’t pronounce it WULL-AH-ridge.

You were a teenager and clubbed at Stadium Bowl, Down-Lo, Drumsticks, Downtown Cavern, or the Reception Hall in Alief (Bonus points if you got some ass at one of these places).

You still think that Diamonds is the greatest strip club that there ever was.

You’re a Northsider/Southsider, and you meet someone from the opposite side, and a tiny part of you STILL wants to beef.

You STILL are afraid to stop in Vidor for gas.

The most girls that you’ve ever pulled in one summer happened the summer you worked at Astroworld.

You went to an Alpha party at the Braeswood Inn. It was completely packed, but you still knew at least 60% of the people in there.

You ever went to a Young Professionals of Houston or Airtight Enterprises step show in high school, and then went to the afterparty at one of the clubs mentioned above, or at that spot on Anderson Rd (Once again, bonus points if you got some ass that night).

The words “Lamar Senior Girls” makes you wanna jump into a Hot Tub Time Machine right fuckin NOW.

You ever got busted for teen curfew violation and had to do community service on the weekend.

You ever tried to make your own screw tape. It was horrible, but you bumped it anyway.

You ever got in a fight at the Yates-Madison game, the Yates-Booker T game, the Battle of the Bands, or the TSU Relays.

Whatever you did on Saturday involved a trip to Sharpstown Mall at some point that day.

It doesn’t bother you at all that Kuykendahl and Kirkendoll are pronounced exactly the same.

You know somebody who knows somebody who knows at least one member of Destiny’s Child.

You know all the words to “June 27th”

You’ve ever used the words “Plex”, “Fraud”, or “Hulled-Out” (Bonus points if you’ve used them all in the same sentence)

You remember when there were only two Timmy Chan’s, and a Wing Dinner was $2.75.

That's a great list...
Those Madison-Yates, Booker T - Yates games were insane.
Everybody in Houston use to be at Butler and Barnett for that shit.
Kids today don't realize how big it was.
Now they don't even go to football games anymore in HISD.
:smh:

A couple of places I didn't see mentioned:

If you remember the Super Skate on Fondren.

If you remember when Super Skate moved to South Park.

If you remember when 102 played rap. (102 jams)

If you remember when the roll call first came out.
"What's up yall what you gotta say...."
"That's sound and that may be, but where you callin from, what's yo set g"

If you went to Peppermint Park as a kid.

If you went to Physical Whimsical as a kid.

If you remember Club Oasis.

Nigga!

I slapped a bitch silly at a Alpha party at the braeswood inn!

I was drinking clear all day at school, then afterwards I jumped on that apple jack (apple juice/jack Daniels) and was LIT by the time I got there. Bitch tried to rob me while I was passed out. I woke up she was straddling me like she was riding me but the bitch was digging thru my pockets.... I hopped up and hit that bitch with the force of GOD  female cop came over n pulled us apart. Told me if I filed charges she'd arrest me n charge me with a MIP, told her if she didn't give back my shit she'd arrest her for theft. After that was done she made us leave. My potnas was MAD AS FUCK at me....

I’m just out here working hard every single day, just trying to be the best poster I can be....

And them Lamar SENIOR GIRLS parties :itsawrap:

I’m just out here working hard every single day, just trying to be the best poster I can be....

Fuck Houston and Dallas. Texas is wack as fuck. Lame ass cities don't even deserve to be on the map. Corny ass country hicks.
Says a nigga from cac ass Boston where Irish cacs punk niggas daily. Weak ass step child city New York dick envy ass niggas.

And I forgot to mention the best part.... the IHOP afterparty

I coulda died the next day after a LSG party and I would've felt like my life was sufficiently fulfilled.

I only went to one.... I don't know how it happened, how i got there, where i was at, none of that.

All i remember hearing from my boy Des was LAMAR SENIOR GIRLS party and that we MUST go.

During that party n afterwards all I could think was,

WHY DIDN'T I KNOW ABOUT THIS SOONER??!?!?!!?!!

I’m just out here working hard every single day, just trying to be the best poster I can be....

You know what a "You-call-it" is

You went to BOTH Max's

You ever ran into "Old School" at the club

You got drunk at Cabo's, then went to T-Town.

You put on the only slacks and dress shoes you had so you could get into Roxy.

You stopped everything you were doing so that you could watch the ass-shaking contest at Metropolis.

Bruh, I was in my third year of college before I was able to convince myself that I shouldn't go to Lamar Senior Girls no more.... And it took a LOT of convincing.

You got a Campus Special at Frenchy's

If u even know about the ORIGINAL frenchy's....

When I worked over off of Leeland n Scott I went to frenchy's at least 3-4 times a month for lunch. I brought some back one day for my shipping crew (all Mexican) and my warehouse manager (white) they BEGGED me to go back everyday for the next month.

Remember cruising on Richmond ave on a Saturday night? That shit would be a parking lot. And that taco cabana would be the spot to sit n watch it all go down. We'd park there n sit at the covered metro bus stop right outside of it.

I remember I was on that one TV show called FOX FILES. They did a piece that talked about the cruising/car culture that sprung up after fast n furious movie. They covered it nationwide....went from Cali to Texas to Florida I think.

It was this bad lil mixed chic that was taking pictures bent over the hood of a car. I had met her the week before out there so when I seen her I ran over to her n just grabbed both cheeks n picked her up n hugged her then posed for a camera.

One of the cameras was for that show. Had the TV on in the background while getting dressed and I looked over like HEY THAT'S ME! My moms was watching it too n she was like SO THAT'S WHAT U DOING ON SATURDAY NIGHTS WHEN U LEAVE HERE? :hmm:

And which one of them mufucca clubs had those FOAM PARTIES??? That was T-Town, right?

Oh. My. GOD!

and u dead wrong for that club Roxy comment  getting church fly to go sweat it out and have the chance to fuck wit a fly Asian or Mexican chic.... Cuz that's all that was in there

I’m just out here working hard every single day, just trying to be the best poster I can be....

You stopped everything you were doing so that you could watch the ass-shaking contest at Metropolis.

It wasn't complete until the one sexy (but flat, no ass having) Mexican chic took off all her clothes

That shit seemed to happen EVERY FUCKIN TIME

In middle 8th grade we was beefing with Vincent young and them Hiram clark dudes at fun plex but we squashed it cause vy's first cousin grew up with us on forum park
