Every artist you named is applauded for appealing to the musical nostalgia of fans of hip-hop from the 90s fam. Nothing wrong with that at all. Also nothing wrong with trying to appeal to a wider fan base. I think we underestimate just how much of a global icon dude is. He has to push the envelop.

Don't think it's classic, or even his best album, but it's still the best Rap album this year so far, IMO. And better than I thought it would be.


But that's ok. We disagree. I think those first 3-4 tracks came off just like he wanted them to knowing the type of perfectionist he is. Yes there are weak points in those experimental tracks, but I think they were intentional. It's like he left some of it unmixed to add a grimy effect to it.. But, at the end of the day, some of this album just won't resonate with the average Rap fan that doesn't veer to far from that section.
 
This is album is pure asscheeks. Now I have to go around listen to these faggots blast this shit.

They do that AND push it forward. First of all, acting as if hiphop NEEDS to have some other genre mixed in to make it valid is silly anyway.

And of course theres nothing wrong with appealing to a wider fan base. Many hiphop artists do that already without trying so hard.

Look, no one is saying Kanye is whack for trying to do that, that's all we've ever applauded him for ANYWAY.

He just FAILED here. I don't see how you guys feel the need to shit on someone for not liking what he put out.

Andre 3000 os pone of the most loved out there, and he's always bending the corners. They like HOW he does it, not just giving E's for effort.

Yall act like this shit aint never been done before, and it has.

ok after giving it a few listens i recant my statement of worst kanye album. i cant even out this in the same category of his past albums because its so different. its not horrible. its different, and i can appreciate the artistry displayed by ye with this album

How the fuck do you go from "New Slaves" right into a song about getting drunk with 17 year kid featured on it?.. Not to mention the fact that this kid is basically a spokesperson for the CCA/DEA agenda?.. That makes no fucking sense whatsoever.. :smh:

This album will help to continue to usher in the new age. You ever see those scenes in futuristic movies where they in a club(like in the matrix) and everyone looks androgynous and has on black makeup and looks weird as shit? Well that's what this album reminds me off. Can't you see it coming the kids these days are dressing more feminine that's a straight European influence and you can hear that in this album. I'm not wit that shit sorry:smh:. If you search twitter look what the 21 and under crowd is saying. That's the future:eek:

Electric Circus was odd, a let down for me. Common on of my top 10. This Yeezus is experimental too..after first 2 songs I'm out. Blood on the leaves has some Billie Holiday and C-Murder sampled but didn't do much.
