I s hould be asking you that question. This isn't a popularity question. Yankee fans are the ones who talk about winning so many rings (history) and then when you bring up they haven't won since 2000 they say "you can't win every year" Sorry bud. You can't have your cake and eat it too. Hypocrites.
I can use this jab because you have a high paid super star at virtually every position. You are supposed to win it all since you paid for it. If you paid the most for something, don't you expect the best results? Maybe you don't, which is probably why you say this is a Jab.
25 other teams haven't won it since 2000. Of course, most of those teams don't care to win it all or can't compete with the Yankees buying up all the talent..and not winning. This is why mediocre pitchers are now getting 10-12 milllion a year.
My team is not too cheap to pony up when needed. They just aren't going to buy into the Yankee caused, over inflated market and give up farm. Like I said before, not everyone can spend 200+ million bucks.
And finally, the response to the google comment. Who cares????? Who cares what comes up when you enter something in google? Do you work for them? You can type in some Tennis reference and Anna Kornikova would probably get alot of hits also, and she hasn't won a damn thing! Is that what you are saing? Fact is, this is sports. Sports isn't about history lessons or popularity contest. Leave that for high school. If you are so hung up on that, why don't you get some pom poms and a skirt so you can cheer for your popular team.
