I was watching that game too. Glad he got it out of the way so he can go back to doing his thing. We got bigger problems with Boston cutting games down to 6 innings with their relief set-up corp now. But I'm glad he did the damn thing early and got to playing great ball.

...and if we don't deserve him, who does? Thing is, we are rough on kids here in N.Y., I admit that. But the reason A-Rod got so much sh*t is because he makes more than dough than certain countries are worth and he doesn't deliver when IT COUNTS. The Yanks brought him in to dominate late september and october, but he vanishes during those times. Smaller contract -smaller expectations. A-Rod has to do the thing in the playoffs and not put up video-game numbers in the regular season.

Barely running? The Yankees are only 2 back in the race for the wildcard. Every team they were chasing lost yesterday. Plus they are now only 7 behind Boston. So it ain't over till its over.

And we still have over 40 some odd games left in the regular season.
