XXL Magazine 2016 Freshman Class...Thoughts?

I'm gonna be on that list one day and I'll be the oldest mother fucker to do it :roflmao2:
Gonna be on some Rodney Dangerfield back to school shit

Once people got past going in on how bad they felt the 2016 XXL Freshman Class cover was, they moved on to who they felt like had been omitted. Noticeably missing from the list was Post Malone. XXL’s editor-in-chief, Vanessa Satton, told The Breakfast Club that Post Malone wasn’t selected as she was informed by his camp that he was no longer paying attention to Hip Hop as much, and that he’s going in a more rock/country/pop direction. Post Malone took to Instagram to respond to Vanessa’s claims. He seemed pretty offended that she’d suggest that he was abandoning Hip Hop.

“My love of music should never be questioned. I shouldn’t be chastised in whichever way I see fit. I never have once said that I’m not going to make hip hop anymore. I have a hip hop album coming out in August. I made a HIP HOP mixtape promoting my HIP HOP album.”

Post Malone also set the record straight about why he ultimately wasn’t on the cover. He said he was invited, but he didn’t feel like taking the 6 hour flight to New York. What are your thoughts?

Yachty's dad is a super cool and famous photographer from ATL, I have friends that are cool with his dad.

yachty might have made this whole thing just be trash. Anderson Paak is fire, he shoulda been like nah im good. I fuck wit Skrilla Kodak tho

Yeah Anderson Paak is super dope. Kodiak Black is my new lil dude I like listening too. He gets mad play in DC and they love that dude. Much respect to Dave East. Really like his grind. Everyone else is blahh, but I don't hate on the yungins getting that bread.
Wish my boy Nick Grant would have made it, but I think he will be there next year. Dude is fire.

Lil Uzi sound like a Chief Keef wannabe. 21 Savage, Lil Dicky, Yachty.......I'll pass. Herbo (All Is Well) and Anderson Paak shine the most out of that group...imho. Just started listening to Anderson Paak a few days ago. Album was decent.

Seen someone mention a guy from Alabama named Mick Jenkins in the youtube comment section. Dude got some decent stuff. Gonna check him out later.

I like at least one song from each of the guys that I didnt pass on:

Desiigner

Herbo..

Denzel

Kodak Black

Anderson .Paak
