Xbox One Console Reviews

The Division blows Destiny out of the water with 6.4 million beta players

On Friday, The Division's open beta officially began on the Xbox One, with the PlayStation 4 and PC versions going live on the following day. The beta has officially ended and it ended with a bang. The beta had an unprecedented amount of players, giving some credibility to Ubisoft's belief that The Division will have one of the biggest game launches in the game industry's history.

More than 6.4 million players joined The Division's open beta across the PS4, Xbox One and PC. In comparison, Destiny boasted 4.6 million beta players across the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4 and PS3.

At the time, Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg said "This is the biggest beta of this console generation by a wide margin and the largest console beta ever for a new video game IP to date."

Consider Activision dethroned, Ubisoft's The Division is now king of the hill.

Each Division player ended up spending an average of five hours playing the game, with two hours spen in the Dark Zone and almost 50% of the players choosing to go Rogue by killing another player.

I couldn't get past the part where you go into the subway to rescue the guy that is in the control room.

Solid beta though, I think I'm going to grab this game.

guess that means its time for Bungie to come correct with what they plan to do for Destiny's future..

Yup. Live Core Services were down. Was pissed! I couldn't use the plex app cause their shit was down.

ya man it's fucking ridiculous...it's a local app don't see why it wouldn't work...it's working now tho...thought it mighta just been my xbox

Nope. Mine keeps kicking me out every few seconds saying that I need the Internet to use this app. Everything else in the crib is working fine. No net = paperweight.

The Divison beta was great.. It's so much better when you have some buddies to play together with... I'm looking forward for the release, but I'm mad my progress won't carry over..

By the way, Rocket League is the SHIT!

Hopefully the Division stays serious and doesn't become cartoony when the mod hack starts. The guys who hack on xbox live should be kicked out permanently.

Oh.. Dark Zone is pretty cool. I'm not gonna lie, I didn't like it the first time I played it tho. I was going in grand theft style and trying to kill anything moving. Most of the time it didn't end up to well for me. Also when you go rogue the whole team does, which isn't really fair if you're on a team with me. then I played the right way on this beta and was able to get some really good loot.

I predict there will be lots of clowning in the official thread(if one is created)..ppl quoting Black A.Camus's favorite line and everything :roflmao2:

Find you a partner in crime and game share. $30 for a new game and at 12:01am I'm ready to play my new game and haven't had to leave the crib. You can't beat it. Game sharing also let's you share the xbox live.

I haven't bought a hard copy of a game on the one. All digital and all off game sharing

Which is why I didn't play the second go round of the beta. I can't drop 10 hours on leveling and weapon upgrades only to do it all over again.

I was the same way. I didn't want to get tired of it when it's just about to come out in a few weeks.
