Xbox One Console Reviews

I said "Xbox is selling a lot of software (47 percent of software market share)."

I didn't say Xbox one. :smh:

And i said "Sony losing money on each PS4 sold"

which is true.

You have to read the whole post before getting mad :lol:You do the same shit that those guys do on IGN and neogaf. Read before you react.

Your the one that's misinformed.

So don't waste my time with this bullshit. Infamous is coming out in a few weeks. Post some game play, and keep it moving. You could post that shit here IDGF.

You're a clown. Your sneak dissing for Sony is lame. This is a Xbox one and you insist on bring up negative info for sony. Meanwhile the fact is PS4 is the best selling console and has the best selling game, period. Ps4 will still have more consoles sold even after Titan Fall.

So you lost the argument now your turning it into something else :lol:I'm done with you.

"sneak dissing"

You're not fucking no one at Sony why are you so sensitive.

Waste of time.

The whole article.

Masayasu Ito, Sony Computer Entertainment senior vice president, has admitted that for every PS4 console sold, Sony will be losing money. In other words, the cost of manufacturing and shipping the console costs more than the retail price. However, the loss is not going to be that great, and the company believes it will easily make the money back from the sales of games and PlayStation Plus subscriptions alongside the hardware.

Sony isn’t saying how much of a loss it will incur per console, but the loss will apparently easily be recouped after, or even during that initial hardware sale. That isn’t just because a PS Plus subscription is more important for this generation, but Ito suggested developing games for the system will cost less, too. So while games retain their $60 price point, they should cost less than PS3 games did to create, meaning higher profits per title.

If you factor in the expected three console bundles at launch, many more gamers signing up for a PS Plus annual subscription, and at least one title being sold alongside each console, you can see how Sony may break even on each initial PS4 sale. That’s a far better situation than when the PS3 launched.

For both Xbox One and PS4 there’s also more potential for greater profits from digital sales. Purchasing games directly on a console is now much more commonplace, and both machines will have access to other content purchases such as movie and TV series rentals and license purchases. It seems likely Sony and Microsoft will push digital sales harder this generation, as a $60 digital game purchase is much more profitable than the same-priced physical version.

You could also argue that by being priced higher the Xbox One is enticing PS4 owners to buy more games. The thinking will be “I can get a PS4 with two games for the price of an Xbox One” and Sony will be sure to focus in on that fact in marketing this year.

Lmao posting articles 2 months before launch. I guarantee xbox one is less profitable than ps4. And Spanish the Ps4 launch only 1 week ahead and is more than 2million + in sales and it's killing the xbox one 2 to 1 in the US. Who cares if it's $100 cheaper, suckers choose to pay $100 more for a less powerful system as their only choice.

Everything i said was the truth backed up by articles and the vice president of Sony. BE mad.

And you have an Xbox one so your a sucker too.

I'm done. If you aint talking about games don't waste my time quoting me.

So the reason Amy and jack are gone is because of Sony losing on the PS4? That was the basics for this argument. Where's that truth? Only console never losing profit is Nintendo so what's the point of your argument? Everyone else loses money.

For Microsoft's Xbox One, 'Titanfall' Could Be Game Changer

Keeping Pace With Sony's PlayStation 4 May Turn on Its Success

Videogame fans waited years for a new generation of living-room consoles. Now that the hardware has arrived, Microsoft Corp.'s MSFT -0.66% hopes of keeping pace with the competition may turn on a piece of software.

The title is "Titanfall," a combat game for the Xbox One console that goes on sale Tuesday. Microsoft has been promoting the game since last June, hoping to inject new ideas into a familiar genre while providing a strong reason to buy its new hardware.

"Titanfall" is already generating considerable buzz, with retailers planning midnight launch events at 6,000 stores world-wide. But Microsoft, whose new console appears to be lagging behind sales of Sony Corp.'s 6758.TO +1.41% new PlayStation 4, is taking no chances.

The company will provide a free copy of the title to customers who buy the $499 Xbox One, a move that amounts to an early price cut for a device that arrived in November. The game on its own costs $60.

"'Titanfall' is an incredibly important game and it's coming at an important time," says Yusuf Mehdi, head of marketing and strategy for Microsoft's Xbox group.

The game was developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts Inc. exclusively for Xbox One, Xbox 360 and personal computers that run Microsoft Windows. Its creators hope to attract consumers by providing a combination of artistic and technical innovations.

As in other videogames that are sometimes called "first-person shooter" titles, the game's world is seen by the players through the eyes of their characters, with a gun ever present in their hands.

They fight their way through an urban battleground, moving by foot or using jetpacks to jump from wall to wall. Alternatively, characters may pilot robot-like machines called Titans, building-sized combatants that can be programmed to fight autonomously. The game is designed to always be played with multiple people over the Internet. Most existing games offer both single-player and multiple-player options.

"Titanfall" exploits gamers' Internet connections to advanced computers in data centers to help accelerate the action while generating vivid images, a combination of chores that can tax the power of individual game consoles.

In this case, Microsoft servers power functions like the artificial intelligence of the game's computer-controlled characters, freeing up the videogame console to focus on creating more detailed animations, says Vince Zampella, Respawn's chief executive.

Some people who have played test versions of "Titanfall" are enthused. Omar Elshamy, a 19-year-old college student who is studying graphic design in Gilbert, Ariz., says that he likes the way soldiers can fight on the ground or jump into the mechanized Titans. The game is "going to revolutionize shooters," he says, while spurring hardware sales. "It's going to be a system seller."

Microsoft can use some excitement. Although both the Xbox One and the new PlayStation 4 sold well after their respective introductions in November, Sony appears to have taken the lead.

In January, Microsoft said it had sold more than three million Xbox One units to customers by the end of 2013; it hasn't issued more recent numbers. Sony said it sold more than 4.2 million units in 2013, and in March it put the cumulative figure at more than six million units. Market researchers NPD Group said the PlayStation 4 led hardware sales in the U.S. in January but didn't provide figures.

Popular game titles have long sparked console sales. The game series "Halo," which made its debut in 2001, helped establish Microsoft's first Xbox videogame console and has since generated billions of dollars in sales.

Colin Sebastian, an analyst at Robert W. Baird, says "Titanfall" also has the potential to become a major franchise if it meets fans' quality expectations. But he hasn't published any sales forecasts. "I think it's too early to say," he says.

Some early signs from consumers are favorable. Industry research firm Fizziology says "Titanfall" has been mentioned on social-media sites nearly as often as the console world's most popular shooting-game franchise "Call of Duty" before its most recent release last year.

"Titanfall" has also been the most preordered videogame in the U.S. for more than a month, according to industry tracking site VGChartz.

Respawn's Mr. Zampella, one of the original creators of "Call of Duty," credits Microsoft with supporting the four-year-old company since it was announced, offering development hardware and information about the Xbox's future road map. The Sherman Oaks, Calif., company now has about 90 employees.

Optimists about the game's appeal include Greg Blair, a 31-year old cable salesman in Appleton, Wis., who has played an early version and likes both its game play and underlying technology.

He wondered aloud whether "Titanfall" could come to define the Xbox One in the way "Super Mario Bros." did Nintendo Co. and "Halo" did the original Xbox. "It has the potential," he says. "It's a start."

I see you have an issue reading. I clearly said "only choice". So easy but it's late and I'm out.

Nigga please this whole argument started because your dumb ass did not understand what i was talking about. Just take that L and keep it moving. You lost this one. When you quote me know what the fuck you are talking about. It's not that hard to do a google search. We all are gamers here stop coming to this thread looking for "sneak dissing" If you don't like my opinion about certain things, don't come into this thread.

IMO the PS4 is not worth buying at this time. Me saying that should not make you go into a rage. :lol:Like i said before if you aint talking about games im going to have to ignore your post from now on. And again POST SOME PS4 games.

If Titanfall does numbers.

Expect M$ to pull out the Brinks trucks and keep the future games as XBox exclusives.

Sounds like Drive Club is now being rebooted. That shit was supposed to be a PS4 launch title. Oh well.

LOL @ Driveclub being delayed. -1 game for 2014 in their lineup. :smh: Seriously, what is the next game that PS4 owners are looking forward to? Destiny?

Meanwhile, Titanfall is looking like a champ across the board.

Infamous. I actually thought Driveclub was interesting until I saw that the Motorstorm team was making it. Motorstorm looked great but played like ass in my opinion.

Yep it's Destiny. Sony dropped a commercial last night for it.

Destiny release date 9/9/

Infamous comes out on the 21st

Strange, why spend money advertising a game coming out in September now. :dunno::rolleyes:

They could've spent that money on Infamous or a FPS.... Killzone.

Did it even mention the Beta? I find that strange as well with Destiny being on 5 different systems.

EGM 10/10

Titanfall lives up to all the expectations established when it was first revealed, in a way that so few games are able ever to accomplish, and represents nothing short of first-person shooter multiplayer taken to new heights.

Not getting the hype about Infamous... The last one didn't sell too well, and this one doesn't look or seem to play any different. I guess limited options enhances it's profile tho...
