Xbox One Console Reviews

How much they giving for the regular Xbox? I need to go ahead and cop the X....

an insulting amount...I ended up just giving mine to a friend since her son wanted one

*edit*

wow gamestop actually giving you $140 for it now...it was $70 last time I checked...I should ask for my shit back  bestbuy offering $45 and that’s if you include a fucking controller :smh:

GTA V is now the most profitable commercial entertainment product of all time

Grand Theft Auto V has brought in over $6 billion since its launch in September 2013. According to MarketWatch, that leaves it as the most profitable commercial entertainment product of all time. Selling better than any album, book, movie, or video game, GTA V is now the biggest entertainment product ever.

Selling 90 million units, and getting over $6 billion in sales excluding microtransactions leaves GTA V beating the likes of Star Wars, Gone with the Wind, and more. “Even taking into account DVD and streaming sales would not put the biggest movie blockbusters in GTA V’s neighborhood, said Cowen analyst Doug Creutz, estimating those sales might add up to $1 billion to the films’ totals.”

I might go do that. $140 ain't bad for the og Xbox One

I'd rather give it to a kid whose parents can't afford a console. The hundred bucks the store would give me doesn't compare to helping someone out.
See...

Now you making me feel bad. I might have to do a Facebook post and see what I come up with

LawBreakers studio’s next game is an ’80s-infused, battle royale game show

Radical Heights is a colorful, cheesy take on battle royale

Last week, LawBreakers developer Boss Key Productions announced it was moving on from that game, saying the arena shooter had failed to find an audience. Today, Boss Key revealed what it’s working on next: Radical Heights, a free-to-play battle royale shooter that’s coming to Steam Early Access tomorrow.

Radical Heights is entering the increasingly crowded battle royale space with a stylistic differentiator: Boss Key is infusing the shooter with a colorful, cheesy ’80s aesthetic. Radical Heights is also leaning into its murderous game show element — think Running Man or Smash TV. “Cash is king” in Radical Heights, the developer said in a news release. Players will fight for cash and prizes while attempting to kill each other.

“Only in Radical Heights does in-game cash you find carry over into future matches,” Boss Key said. “Play matches, collect cash, kill contestants, interact with game show elements and more to buy cosmetics from your personal prize room, or put some of that sweet cash in your bank to help buy a weapon next match quicker than your opponents. The choice is yours.”

Radical Heights promises a variety of ’80s-era appropriate vehicles and weapons, including BMX bikes, workout trampolines, confetti bombs, inflatable decoys and remote explosives. Boss Key is self-publishing the game.

“This is a five month passion project for the studio as we’re creating and publishing the game entirely by ourselves,” said Zach Lowery, Radical Heights’ creative director, in a statement. “We’re huge fans of Battle Royale games along with the bright, inviting irreverence of the 80’s aesthetic. Because of that, we want to put our own spin on the genre and create a futuristic 80’s world that takes place in 2023 during an over-the-top game show where contestants battle it out for fame and prizes.”

Radical Heights will be free to play when it hits Windows PC via Steam Early Access on Tuesday, April 10. A founders pack with “exclusive items and bonuses” will be available for $14.99.

Fits the 80s themed Outrun stuff that is popular now.

Finally got around to finishing this game today

7/10

This is a pretty good modern-era Sonic game, it's only real faults is that it was released after the classic Sonic Mania and game of the year candidate Super Mario Odyssey

Positives
  • One of the better storylines of any modern Sonic game.
  • Great pacing, the game moves at a steady pace and cut scenes are kept short.
  • Secondary characters are kept as NPCs
  • Soundtrack is better than expected.
  • Creating an avatar is fun doesn't distract from the story
Negatives
  • Game is not really very long
  • Difficulty in the final stages is a bit unbalanced.

This is not a bad game by any stretch, it just looks bad against Sonic Mania and Super Mario Odyssey. It's a not a very difficult game, you can sit down and get right into it, the storyline is different from previous Sonic games, but it'll keep you interested and cut scenes get to the point quickly and get you back to the gameplay. Being able to create a character adds a different aspect to the gameplay without screwing the pace, it's kinda fun to put yourself (albeit as an anthropomorphic animal) in Sonic's world and help save the world.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 won’t have traditional single-player campaign

Black Ops 4 will instead focus on multiplayer and Zombies, according to sources

blops_4.0.jpg

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 won’t include a traditional single-player story mode, according to sources with knowledge of the project’s status. The shift in creative direction will make Black Ops 4 the first mainline Call of Duty to ship without a standard campaign.

When reached for comment, an Activision spokesperson said, “We don’t comment on rumor and speculation. We look forward to revealing Black Ops 4 on May 17th.”

The sources, who asked for anonymity, said that as Black Ops 4’s release date approached, it became evident that development on the single-player campaign wouldn’t be completed. One source said Treyarch has since focused Black Ops 4’s development on expanding multiplayer and the series’ popular Zombies mode. The source described an emphasis on cooperative modes as a potential stand-in for the typical single-player campaign experience.

Created by developer Infinity Ward in 2003, the Call of Duty franchise initially built acclaim around its single-player campaigns. The studio took advantage of the additional power of the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 early in their life cycles, producing cinematic, linear and heavily directed missions that stood above the other first-person shooters of that generation. “No Russian,” the controversial mission from 2009’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 involving a shooting at an airport, is one of the most notorious and iconic single-player moments in games, regularly used in supercuts and news packages commenting on violence in video games.

But as the series grew in popularity with each annual iteration, it became increasingly synonymous with multiplayer. With Activision’s support, Call of Duty has become a major esport, filling massive auditoriums and festivals. In recent years, Activision has allowed PC users to download the single-player and multiplayer modes separately.

The Black Ops series has been spearheaded by Treyarch since the original entry in 2010, though Call of Duty games, including Black Ops, are produced with support from other studios, including Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer Games, Raven Software and Certain Affinity. The Black Ops series has featured an ongoing and largely praised story, extending from the 1960s to the 2060s, mixing Cold War intrigue with not-so-distant future techno-paranoia. Black Ops 4 will make the series the longest-running subfranchise in the Call of Duty series, surpassing the Modern Warfare trilogy.

The tagline for Black Ops 4 is “forget what you know,” which speaks to the series’ fascination with mind control. Though perhaps it also doubles as a message to fans, encouraging them to reconsider what makes a complete Call of Duty game.

Activision is expected to ship one single-player campaign this year in the form of a remaster of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which Charlie Intel and Eurogamer have reported will be released without the original game’s multiplayer component.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is scheduled for release on Oct. 12, 2018, on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One. Activision will reveal more information on Black Ops 4 during a reveal on May 17, and is expected to share additional info this June at E3.
