Xbox One Console Reviews

...haven't opened them yet but the interface should be more intuitive w/ XB1...

the apps found on the xbox store have the same interface/controls as the ones in the window store...but @ least I now have 5 go-to options for HD movies...this is is just sick

Xbox One... fuck the world...

Torrents Nigga... Torrents....

Ok giving an update.... right now there are two ways to do this..

You can download the torrent through the browser and save to the local storage of your xboxone and open the torrent through the torrex browser... I tried that once and it works but it was a public domain torrent so I trusted it. I would not trust this procedure through sites like kickass or isohunt. Your Xbox is just too exposed to something.

I would suggest downloading the torrents through your computer, put it on a thumbdrive and open the torrents through torrex... I would also suggest paying 7.95 to get the pro version so you can download the torrents in the backgrond while you do other shit.

All torrents and files are saves in local storage downloads on the main hard drive on Xbox one. So you would manually have to move the completed files to another hard drive if you wanted to view them on your computer or another tv.

But either way... I can confirm that you can definitely download torrents on your Xbox one... shocking as it may be

Why in the fuck isn't any of this put out to the public? Would you really want a PlayStation if you knew that now your Xbox one is basically a fucking computer...

Man if Microsoft could go back in time to the Xbox one E3 announcement and showcase this current system to the public... playstation wouldn't have had a chance.

def makes it worth it now to consider trading in my PS4 and getting a 2nd XB1 for the bedroom

yo...I noticed that movies HD online is already in the xbox app store when you browse from your XB1...there's also 2 more free movie apps in the store...movies free HD online and movies free tube...haven't opened them yet but the interface should be more intuitive w/ XB1...this is crazy

Dude you sound like me when me and my cousin discovered this shit over Christmas... we both looked at each other like "This can't be real" and then proceeded to watch suicide squad in full 1080p... lol

I've found at least 10 total apps that show movies...

I'm now moving on to programs.. this VLC player option now allows flash videos from the movie collection on my external hard drive to be played.

Again... if Kodi can get through UWP and get on the Xbox store it's a wrap. I almost wish that I could put a alert on my phone.. I'd drop whatever the fuck I was doing and hurry up and download that bitch while I can.

I'm still fucking pissed that I missed out on the N64 emulator and yes you heard me.. for a two month period of time last year there was a n64 emulator on the Xbox one store.

I wonder if it's downloadable anywhere online

I do agree with this.. this new discovery has to brought to the attention of the main board. It's game changing shit.

I wonder if it's downloadable anywhere online

That's actually a really good question. I know that it's downloaded through the windows store but it's not compatible on the Xbox one store... but with this new internet browser... I can download anything from the internet into my Xbox (yes also in-fucking-same) and I think there is a rar app that's Xbox one compatiable.. so I wonder if I can open an app from the internet and install it on my Xbox.

Man I'm going to have to do some research before I even attempt to open that can of worms. I almost feel like I need an experimental Xbox one.. just for seeing what I can with this thing.

Dude I know... and there are people out there that have no idea. No idea how powerful it has become and there are new apps dropping everyday. This is the shit that Microsoft should have hyped at the E3... no one cares about being able to watch cable on your game system but you tell a nigga that you can download windows Apps on that bad boy and unlimited external hard drive power and now you have my attention. Your Xbox storage capacity is only limited by the number of multi-USB adapters that you want to buy. And now this shit.. about torrents and VLC support and wow.. my mind is blown.

Had no idea about either one of these.

By far one of the best 250 gadgets I've bought in a few years.

No problem... now you understand why I had to drop a comment in the other thread. This shit is insane. I'm watching keeping up with the jones, full screen in 720p p, with no Ads.....

I'm actually getting use to the interface now. And have found a couple apps that allow full screen with no ads without have to do anything.

Man you have no idea... I'm only scratching the service with this thing.

And a lot of the movie apps that I've highlighted are directly on the Xbox store now. You don't have to go your pc for some of these. Just go looking through all these lovely new apps and have your mind blown but like LSN said... I'd download these bad boys immediately because eventually one of these movie studios is going to complain about this.

Thnks for all the info fellas. I downloaded several of the apps but I can't get any of the movies to actually play. All say things like "the video failed to play". What am I doing wrong?

That's new I haven't had any issue... but you have to think of these apps like you would putlocker or Kodi.. some will have bad links. I suggest playing around with the different apps or switching to a different server within the app. So far I haven't had any problems with hdmoviestube. Try that one out.

Ok, gonna try it out. Thanks!

Gonna preorder ME4 next time I'm near a Gamestop. I actually said I wasn't going to support their next game and the shit they pulled with ME3 ending. About 5 years later.

Xbox One Scorpio May Be Using AMD’s Vega/Ryzen CPU

xbox-scorpio-2.jpg

We already know that Microsoft are planning on making the Xbox One Scorpio the most powerful console ever made- but so far, apart from vague and ambiguous targets, Microsoft have only stuck to discussing the system’s GPU performance (which we know will be an admittedly impressive 6 TFLOPs).

However, it seems like Microsoft may be going all out on the CPU front, too- according to a picture taken by someone on NeoGAF at AMD’s CES booth, it looks like the Scorpio may be using the truly impressive Vega architecture that AMD just debuted for their CPUs, including the fresh Ryzen. If this is true, the Scorpio will have literally one of the newest, most advanced CPU chipsets within it, and far beyond most gaming PCs on the market. That, coupled with its GPU, is likely to make it a truly impressive beast of a machine.

Of course, it is unclear how Microsoft will sell such a device at mass market prices (will they swallow a loss like they did with the Xbox and Xbox 360, or pass the costs on to customers?), or whether such power even has any meaning given that all Scorpio games are also mandated to run on the standard Xbox One- but for fans of technology, it seems like the Scorpio may have a lot to offer.

Microsoft confirms: Xbox One exclusive Scalebound has been canceled

After years in development, the Microsoft Studios exclusive "Scalebound" has been canceled.

Built by Platinum Games, Microsoft just confirmed to us that Scalebound's development has ceased and that the two companies have parted ways.

Scalebound was set to be an action RPG with 4-player co-op, where players formed bonds with gigantic, customizable dragons. Microsoft Studios has a pretty packed line-up for 2017 already, with State of Decay 2, Sea of Thieves, Halo Wars 2, and Crackdown 3 in the pipeline. However, Scalebound's closure will disappoint many, as it represented the only known "AAA" Action RPG experience in Microsoft's exclusive portfolio for the near future.

The statement we received from Microsoft reads as follows.

scalebound-boss.jpg

"After careful deliberation, Microsoft Studios has come to the decision to end production for "Scalebound." We're working hard to deliver an amazing lineup of games to our fans this year, including "Halo Wars 2," "Crackdown 3," "State of Decay 2," "Sea of Thieves" and other great experiences. For more information on our 2017 plans, please visit: https://news.xbox.com/2017/01/05/xbox-closes-milestone-year-in-2016/."

When I spoke to Hideki Kamiya and Jean Pierre Kellams about Scalebound back at E3 2016, the pair seemed enthusiastic about the project and its future. Scalebound's social media went dark in September, and rumors began to swirl of development issues at Platinum Games, famed for games like Bayonetta.

Microsoft said that they have great respect for Platinum Games and that Scalebound's cancellation came down to "business decisions."

I asked Microsoft if they felt there was now a gap in their line-up after the loss of Scalebound, but they told me that Crackdown 3, Halo Wars 2, Sea of Thieves, State of Decay 2, as well as unannounced "experiences" are still on the way for 2017. Microsoft said they feel that their portfolio is very strong for 2017 "and beyond," offering clues to future unannounced projects.

How do you feel about Scalebound's cancellation? Were you hoping to pick it up? Let us know in the comments!

thanks to this thread I went on the xbox, downloaded VLC, and some of the free movie apps... And damn if it isn't working great. Streamed manos de piedra from my PC using VLC (thanks to BGOL it was a crisp 1080p copy), watched a 720p flick that was decent just to see how the apps work. This is awesome.

If Bioware pull that "3 color ending" BS again.. :smh:
