Akon is doing exactly what I was trying to say in that RIAA top selling artists thread. Find a niche, a formula that works, and keep using it...your artist will be at the top of that list. I love how he stopped being a knuckle head and got it together like this

I may be wrong - but I dont think the gay community would flock to any gay artist - good music is good music regardless of your sexual orientation, so for someone to think that this market (if it even exists) isnt tapped is not accurate IMHO. Something else to consider is that while "they" do have a shit load of disposable income this would also lead me to believe that they have a decent taste in music...

Bottom-line, if you don't want your kids exposed to this music, don't let them listen. Tell them straight up they can't play his music videos on your TV.

Basically, there are bigger issues than this folks much more likely to cause your children harm. Let Akon get his money. You just stay on top of your game when it comes to parenting.
