Even if they agree to a "do-over" they'd have to re-campaign in those states. And it may not bode well for Hillary since it's Obama who now has the momentum. This may influence voters who did vote for Hillary then, to now vote for Obama.

But personally, I think it's too late. The DNC wants this wrapped up asap because today McCain is going to secure the nomination.

It does not look good for the DNC to have this division this late in the game. They have to prepare their candidate for the presidential campaign.

Hillary has nothing to lose either way, that's why she's pushing for them to count. Obama could win bith states but it's only fair if they do a revote, or nothing at all. Just some info...

I live in florida and...

1. It was reported on channel 7 and 10 that our votes would probably not count given the date of the election. This was months before the election. In fact, the DNC gave deadlines to move the date back but the repugnants didnt budge. They really wanted to vote on some other issues, thats why they wanted the election to occur when it did. No one knew this would be a neck and neck race. Floridians either took their vote for granted or didnt really know anything about the nomination process.

2. I saw Obama ads on national networks but that is in contrast to the fact the clintons were here in florida a couple times asking for money/book signings etc. Furthermore, I heard radio ads from the clintons when supposedly I shouldnt have heard any.

3. Many people, and I mean many people didnt vote because we were under the impression our vote wasnt going to be calculated. I revote will render different results. Hopefully the florida vote will be a semi-closed voting structure only allowing independants and dems to vote. Not allowing repugs or repugs turned dems to vote.

4. Michigan will not vote overwhelmingly for Hillary leaving her only Florida and pennsylvania. Pennsylvania, I've been therre once and I have the impression that major cities will vote for Obama but Hillary will win the state...maybe I'm wrong. Not by enough to overtake Obama.

I think the nominee will be Obama and Im thinking he chooses Biden as his 2nd.

By ignoring the results in both states and not offering an alternative, they would dissipate the enormous, unprecedented enthusiasm being felt by Democrats now, making it more likely they won't come out and support the Democratic candidates in November.

Otherwise, that's kinda like saying "the Spurs would DEFINITELY lose to the Bobcats in Charlotte"... even though they've NEVER played each other before.
