I think it went like this...

1. Last year, both Florida & Michigan moved their primary dates up.. against the wishes of the DNC.

2. They were warned their votes *would NOT be counted* if the election officers tried to *skip the line*.
(And everyone KNEW THIS months in advance... and informed the voters.)

3. Out of respect for the DNC, both Edwards & Obama removed their names from the ballots in those 2 states.

4. So Clinton campaigned in both states ALONE, and ended up winning these states with *no opposition*.

5. Since Clinton now needs the delegates from those 2 states to close the gap, they want a *do over*.

6. But this isn't exactly fair to Edwards, who has dropped out since.

7. And the DNC has said this *bends the rules*. Which is anti-democratic.

8. Now the Republican Governor (of Florida) wants a *do over* NOW as well.
(But didn't want one back in 2000 when GW was running )

Not sure if it's the same FLA (election) folks, this time around tho.

If you have a *do-over*, then replace the people responsible for the screw-up first. Just my opinion.

Even if they agree to a "do-over" they'd have to re-campaign in those states. And it may not bode well for Hillary since it's Obama who now has the momentum. This may influence voters who did vote for Hillary then, to now vote for Obama.

But personally, I think it's too late. The DNC wants this wrapped up asap because today McCain is going to secure the nomination.

It does not look good for the DNC to have this division this late in the game. They have to prepare their candidate for the presidential campaign.
