WrestleMania XXX April 6th, 2014 - Official Discussion Thread

Yeah I'm actually glad it's over. Taker didn't look like he had another 1 or 2 WMs left in him anyway.

Still wish it wasn't to Brock tho, but it figures that when they would do it, they would do it with someone people really didn't want them to do it with.

But hopefully it'll free up a match next year so Dolph or somebody young can get some work in for real. I'm tired of all these part-timers just coming to get a WM paycheck. Just book the people you got right now correctly and people will still watch it.

you don't think Taker will come back and possibly have a "farewell" match next year ?? I mean after the hits he took from Lesnar tonite he might not want to come back though, but Sting has been rumored for next year WM

I don't think it can be Taker's last match.....

They were clamoring for ANYTHING to make this Wrestlemania BIG after the whole Batista and Orton match fell through. Had Hogan host it, had Stone Cold and Rock show up..

Seems like they would've made the Brock and Taker much something like "Loser has to leave WWE forever" or some shit like that.

Here's a question: What does the streak ending mean for Wrestlemania? It used to be a selling point. I mean I know taker couldn't do it forever but still....

Dope pic.

NoDQ.com > WWE > Austin, JR & Others Comment on Taker's Streak Ending
Posted by Steve Carrier on 04/06/2014 at 11:32 PM

- Below are some comments from current and former WWE stars on The Undertaker's Streak being stopped by Brock Lesnar at tonight's WrestleMania XXX:

Jillian Hall, who was watching at Lisa Marie Varon's restaurant: "Everyone was speechless for 5 minutes!!! OMG!!!! #WrestleMania30 and I never get shocked! #WOW"

Sean Waltman: "With all due respect, that should have been saved for a Roman Reigns or someone else to build towards the future."

Mick Foley: "I was there. The end of an era."

Xavier Woods: "My childhood, it hurts. I can't deal with this right now..."

Steve Austin: "Holy shit...Lesnar has ended the streak! Jesus Christ. 21-1. #neveragain #streakvsthebeast #WWE"

Jim Ross: "I feel now like how I did when that bastard Bruce Dern killed John Wayne in 'The Cowboys.' The Streak is over. #WrestleMania Just my saucy prediction but @BrockLesnar will likely be the @wwe Champion going into next year's #WrestleMania."

I wouldn't rule it out seeing as this one ended in kind of a surreal way.

But it really depends on where they take the storyline on Raw tomorrow

Whats the deal with Jim Ross and the WWE? I heard he was fired but I saw him at the HOF ceremony. Why wouldn't they let him call the main event match??? Jim Ross is G.O.A.T announcer. He would've been perfect for that Bryan win

One of the rumors going around is that Taker called an audible and told Brok to pin him. THis is why the ref hesitated before the 3.

Also if you look at Brock's face when he called the spot, he looked "shocked."

:lol::lol::lol:
This isn't a real sport...ain't do damn audibles for a different ending in wrestling
Shit was planned all along
I could see Taker dragging his bones in the ring for one more match at next year's WM

Actually they do. (In most cases it's because of injury or the match is running long) This is why the refs have earpieces in so they can get instruction from the back.

Perfect example of an audible was Sting/Jeff Hardy where Hardy was high as giraffe pussy so Sting pinned him quick in the beginning of the match.

I really can't see any other outcome but to let Sting vs Taker be the last match of their careers. No one is left for Taker to face since the streak has ended. Sting needs atleast one WWE/Mania match under his belt.

Other than D Bryan two matches & Taker's shocking lost this Mania was average.

Yea I did find it kind of crazy....you end the streak with Lesnar who is a part time wrestler? Seems like that shit should've been for Bray or Roman Reigns or some up and coming guy to help put them over. I guess it does build Brock up as a monster even more but it will be for a part time role.

No for real, just about every match, for the whole match, the wrestler are talking to each other telling each other what they're about to do so that they can execute the move safely. They call that shit "calling spots."

Only the finishes or big spots are pre-planned. The rest of the match is kinda freestyled. And then the refs tell them how much time they have and that's how they know when to finish the match.

The thing is now the cameras have mics on them (because the producers want to catch the shit the wrestlers say to the crowd) but what happens now is that wrestlers can sometimes be heard calling spots if the cameras are too close. I know one of the Rock/Cena matches was like that where you could just hear them calling spots to each other all match long.

Here's examples of wrestlers calling spots to each other:

They probably did let Taker make the final call.

It became evident they ere giving Bryan that title after that Taker shit. That Taker shit defeated the whole damn 70,000 people.

Paul Heyman going to be on Raw bragging about how the streak has been broken by"this BIG,BEAUTIFUL MAN,right here,BRRRROCK,LESNARRRRRRR!!!" :roflmao2:

Yes! Yes! Yes!

Batista on Raw tomorrow night:"I am hereby invoking my rematch clause..so deal with it!!":lol:

I still think Taker losing was an accident.

Something did seem odd....notice how Brock winked at taker!!!

Paul's reaction seem delayed...

You know he gone be in the little video package

Just like that little white girl who was mad when Miz beat Orton for the title

Just imagine how big it would have been if instead of jobbing to Cena Bray Wyatt broke the streak.

:lol:Now dudes will get it thru their heads, CM Punk aint coming back. He aint fucking with the WWE. I know he was watching prolly even more pissed seeing Lesnar beating Undertaker's streak. That was a big "fuck you" to CM Punk from Vince McManon

Pointed this out to my lil one during the Bryant and triple H match...

According to WWE.com, Billy Gunn sustained hemoptysis after taking the powerbomb from The Shield at WrestleMania tonight.

"At the very end of the match, Billy sustained a powerbomb maneuver," said Dr. Chris Amann. "After that maneuver, he started to develop hemoptysis, which is the medical term for coughing up blood.

"We brought him back and evaluated him immediately, checked his oxygen, his blood pressure … everything was stable," Amann continued. "We got some X-rays of his chest, which did not show any evidence of a collapsed lung, so our diagnosis right now is that he most likely ruptured a small blood vessel that caused bleeding to the airways and, subsequently, coughing up blood."

"I've been a fan of this company and this business for 24 years.
The fact that the Undertaker's streak was ended by a part time ufc fighter who left the business because he bitched out about "traveling" is an utter DISGRACE to everyone who's watched. If that was going to happen, they should have let Cena do it.

Could have built up Shield/Wyatts for a huge payoff at 'Mania, then had Cena go on to face 'Taker. Because at least Cena would have had something to gain...Rock, Austin & Hogan never challenged the streak. Cena would be the next logical choice.
I am absolutely sick to my stomach over the conclusion of that horrid match. I don't care if it was Undertaker's "choice"....he's a legend in this business, he should have been smart enough to know that it was an absolute mistake to have it end that way.

Undertaker should have been the EXCEPTION to the rule. (Most guys lose their last matches, going out with a whimper) If he was done, he should have beat Brock and rode off into the sunset. Now there will forever be a black mark on something there just should not have been one on. It's a ing DISGRACE that a guy who turned his back on the entire industry gets to have a moment as monumental and historic as what just happened tonight.

It was absolutely 100% the wrong decision. Nothing will ever change that, and it really brought down the overall quality of what was otherwise an excellent show.

But that's OK because EVERYONE was pissing their pants with excitement even last year for "Lesnar/Taker - the Dream Match!!!"
and I knew it was going to be a trainwreck....I just didn't think it would end up being one of the single worst things I've ever witnessed in my 24 years of being a fan."

Exactly what I thought Cena shoulda been the one who beat the streak. Or if u wanna shock the world Wyatt. They could have taken over as the new Undertaker even though its three dudes. They are so over. But still a memorable Mania none the less.
Kofi does it again.
Cesaro is a future star.
DB much deserved.
That Rock, Austin & Hogan promo was priceless.
not a bad show but terrible booking.

I see they ain't learned shit from Lawler having that heart attack after doing that one match.

They shouldn't have put them old ass dudes in a match. I love NAO but they're some damn 50 year olds fighting some 20 year olds.

They got way too many young cats who could've used that job. I've been saying they need to put Wade Barrett and Drew McIntyre in the Authority storyline
