On the fix rate. Isn't it based on average power used or something like over a certain period. And if you leave and change power companies you will have to.pay the difference if you are over that average on the last bill or if you switch back to regular billing?
Corporations do it daily. Have fundraisers to help outside charities for public image while refusing to help their own frontline employees. Then try to guilt the same employees into donating because “they should be lucky they have a job”.imagine your job raising money from people to pay your salary
lmaooooooooo
I was on Griddy in Aug 2019.The fixed rate will have something like 9.6 cents a kilowatt plus a energy delivery fee from 5.95 to 9.95. They have contracts that range from 6 to 24 months. If you change during the contract you will be charged a 150 to 200 fee. The only exception is if you move then you won't be charged to switch. During the summer my bill always goes up but only about 20 to 30 dollars a month due to the higher energy usage.
The variable rate plans means you will get fucked in the summer months or during a time like the past week due to the rates skyrocketing.
If it was Griddy, there's no way to immediately stop it. They auto replenish your acct as soon as it hits a threshold. Think mine was like $40, they hit it for another $50 or $100. I can't remember.why did he pay that shit?
Wow. So who's to blame? Are the utility companies lobbying the Repubs that run Texas. Also are Texas residents allowed to install solar panels on their homes? If it was Griddy, there's no way to immediately stop it. They auto replenish your acct as soon as it hits a threshold. But as soon as it hits that low, they hit your card. You can't remove your card from their system. Can switch to another form of payment but it's not a quick process. They know what they doing. Have tons of people pissed when there are extremes like this. I was on Reddit reading hundreds of complaints when it happened to me.

Don't think it's a politricks thing. Both sides are the same man, they both on the take when it comes to energy.Wow. So who's to blame? Are the utility companies lobbying the Repubs that run Texas. Also are Texas residents allowed to install solar panels on their homes?

Maybe the sheep will wake up one day, but I doubt it will be before it is too late!

As for solar, of course you can and some do. I was on the fence about it but some things I learned about it, can be costly is why you don't see them on every home. If others on the board know better, then chine in. But from what others I've seen online say is, upfront can run 30-40k and after 10 yrs, you're going to be replacing panels. So cost saving, is really not the greatest.
There's companies going around saying they would do everything for free for you and you finance the cost thru time over 10 yrs and with your "savings" it pays for itself. But seems madd fishy. Cause one salesman leveled with me and said I'm doing LED lights and all that, he said if your current bill is so low, solar ain't doing nothing for you. So I didn't bother looking at it again.

Yep fuck that autopay, and to entice you companies say you'll save on your bill if you'd agree to it . NopeThis type of shit is the very reason why I refuse to use auto-pay.
I remember, back in the early days of autopay, like 2003 or something, I payed a bill but I used a different card. Now, they had my other card on file for autopay but I forgot to remove it.
The card I used to pay took a while to process for some reason. These motherfuckers hit my saved card 3 times, overdrawing my shit & causing all types of havoc.
Come to find out, they saw the original payment but didn't recognize the card, so they hit my card on file for the autopay. They had no justification for the other two times (which all happened within hours of one another).
I cancelled them motherfuckers, that card & I've never done autopay since then. Hell, I refuse to even give these accounts access to my bank.
#YourwifemakesmorethanyouYou're dumb as a box of rocks
I'm in the same boat. I never do that. Only did it for EZ-Pass in NYC and here I do it for the EZ-Tag or whatever it's called for the tolls. This type of shit is the very reason why I refuse to use auto-pay.

Comcast Cares is the best example that I can think of..Corporations do it daily. Have fundraisers to help outside charities for public image while refusing to help their own frontline employees. Then try to guilt the same employees into donating because “they should be lucky they have a job”.
