Many blacks who think like have have risen past you but you wouldn't know it. Hell, my wife, on her own, rose past you over a decade ago and she's always worked for a firm.

I work for myself, I make anywhere from 45-75k depending on how many clients I take on. I haven't missed a meal, have began to invest in stocks (thanks to a few good bros on this board), bought/paid off a new vehicle all in the same year, I'm currently in process saving up for a house, have pretty good health care, and a nice schedule. I have two degrees and I realized only a few years ago I'm not programmed to work for the man. I can't tell you how many people who I come in contact with doing what I do that tell me they'll settle for less to have peace of mind and less stress. Kudos to all those making 250+ but don't knock those who work for themselves. I know a lot of HVAC certified entrepreneurs with a ton of money lined up in the coffers

Respect my brother. Im almost where you are. Ive made it to the point where Im almost at not actually doing the work at all. Just picking up and dropping off. Working online, etc..... I have a Bachelors and Masters as well.
I invest now in a decent mutual fund, but want to get into personal stocks. One of the things Im struggling with is keeping a schedule, and not working.

Appreciate this post keeps me pushing because at this point I don't know how many people be like man you lucky...... When I left my career I would def have taken less for the peace of mind.

the op named the thread wrong..the whole reason this thread exist is because of the breakfast club convo with dame..the thing is really about if u already have an existant product or service that has a huge following/cliental base..would u limited urself to working for a company that generates a shitload of money from the product or service u provide or seperate urself and become ur entity selling the same service/product with the already built in following/cliental base..the op did the throw off by somehow acting ur bread is suppose to decrease by 80 percent with u seperating urself from the company..when i responded with the monkey wrench and told him how ur profits should increase being a seperate entity than being under a company he changed his trolling process and started arguing for the independant..this thread was meant to troll people that would pick being a seperate entity but when somebody hit him with hardcore facts he had to flip his troll game which he obviously wasn't ready for... my example of the standup is the perfect example of what the thread should be about...a smart betting man would go with goin the independant route because they more likely will succeed..this thread isn't about doin a bizzness that noone knows about it's about a bizzness that's already lucrative that can be even more for u if u fly solo
