Only problem is my wife is home all day. Never get a break. My ass still works 28-42 days straight, I need some space!
For me it's depression. Being single, not having anyone sucks.

I miss having people around, and it seems every interesting female has 2+ kids and I don't deal with women who have kids

I don't want to go into the office, but I do miss interacting with people

i absolutely love working from home.
saving me $400 a month in gas.....$300/month in tolls
$20 a day buying breakfast, lunch, and snacks at work.

thats quite a bit i can save by being at home. i dont get easily distracted and can actually get more work done.
and it allows me to work more than one job at the same time.
That last sentence is why they want people back in the office. They don't want you doing anything else but their work.

Dem boomers that are toxic in nature/character need to die off already.

9 to5 hours or more schedules and 5-6 day work weeks commuting back and forth is played the fuck out.
%100 Facts when I started at the company I'm with my CEO just took over from his uncle and %60 of the company was old head Cacs(some 45 supporters after he got elected) we started moving them MFs when the pandemic hit we completely change the business model and it was just to much for the old Cacs who just couldn't keep up. We learned later alot of them MFs did more delegating and taking credit for shit they didn't do and were holding back alot of talented people when I took over Dept. Head that all changed.

Fuck yeah I agree with them. Last year proves many jobs can be done remotely. Unless you have some high security clearance job that requires you to collect intel on-site on a regular basis, let these people work from home. Fools just want to micro-manage. Let the world change let the world adapt.

Also, often times working from home you actually do MORE work than they did when they had to go in the office. If people go back to the job site it should be two weeks on two weeks off.

A friend of mine just sold his house and wants to move to Florida and remote work. His company denied him saying he can’t, but peep this the director of their team works remotely and lives in Florida the supervisors of the team lives in Georgia and another in Colorado all working remotely. :hmm:

Companies ran by baby boomers want people to go back into the office. Not realizing that not only it's not necessary, but the amount of money you can save by having staff work from home

Progressive, forward thinking companies have no problems allowing staff to work from home...They realize the amount of money they are saving (electricity, paper, water, etc.) and know turnover will be low as well. It's also a good recruiting tool to get better talent....

These companies have leases they still have to pay for, so they want people back in the office!

Doesn't matter though...The lease will still get paid whether people are there or not....Just imagine only having to pay a lease, but you not paying for other costs associated with having people in the office - electricity, water, and paper...

We all can't wait until the director of my department retires...or the other thing...ijs

This backward way of thinking that baby boomers have is limiting and ridiculous.

They actually said in a meeting that teams when we come back into the office after July 5th should try to come in on the same day in case we need to look over each others shoulders

So we haven't done any work since March 10th of last year since we can't look over each others shoulders?

I know most people picked Wednesday to come in, but I picked Thursday hoping that most people pick Wednesday and I wouldn't have to see most of these fuckers oh, but I still plan on calling off each of the one day a week that I have to go into the office

It's sad, hell most of the jobs in the government are now full time telework....Just don't understand companies where you don't have to be physically in the building not allowing people to continue to work remotely....On top of that, some people are still traumatized by this pandemic and may not want to be around people or large amounts of people.

I got a government job (lol...the brothers walked in with guns...came out with jobs

But seriously, I got to government job and I've been on full-time tele work since last March and these Boomer bitches are trying to end it. I don't give a good goddamn the buildings are paid for for the next 3 years

I don't know how many times I've gotten up to do some work at 8 at night or after midnight when I can't sleep

Do I slack off sometimes during the day? Damn right.

I just came in from doing some Landscaping outside my house. Lay it down some rubber mulch, some fabric and that fake mulch Edge shit (the first picture. The other two I did 2 weeks ago during a work day)

Thing is, when you're working from home you're not restricted to working 8 hours straight. I seem to get more done when I'm up at night knocking something out

Companies are going to look to adjust salaries according to those saving like the tech companies were doing with their employees who move out of San Francisco and those who want to work from home.

some of my co-workers are the same way
I hear it during conference calls sometimes.... somebody is talking about some obviously important work shit, and a wife or kid will be in the background asking them when they're gonna be done, or can they do this, or Tommy keeps hitting me. Later they're like as soon as the office opens.....

Don’t y’all get bored working at home all the time? I don’t have conventional work but I enjoy being around people
I guess a better option would be to have people work from home on certain days and come into the office on other days.

Man fuck all that commute/going to the office bs. That's some holdover, remnant shit from the clock-punching, industrial age, boot-licking boomer bitches. We in the information age muhfuckas. I used to go in 1-2 times a week and remind fools of this all the time before covid hit. And now I don't care if I don't see their faces ever again.

When you apply for a job, do you apply for the money or to be around co-workers?.. now if your job gave you an option to either work around people and not get paid or work from home and make money which 1 you picking? Exactly fuck them co-workers…. Perks living in a place like ny is if you want to be around people just go outside, there everywhere

I don't... took a few months to get used to it at first, but since then I'm not bored at all. Got my tv, got two personal laptops to the right of my work laptop to do shit like this. Up until my group took on some hellaciously visible shit for my company, I could take the laptop in my car and work via my cable company hotspots whenever I wanted to if I felt the need to get out for fresh air.

Now the office I worked in before they sent us home... I got along with the people, but never got to be friends outside of work with any of them... and there was not one hot woman in the building, so not much to miss. I used to work at Bell Labs in the 90's though. Building was huge... like 7000+ people working there, so there was always a good supply of beautiful women, plus I worked with people who are still my friends 20 years after I left. If I had been sent to work from home from that job, I would miss the office quite a bit.
