Women, why do you wear a weave?

Nothing's wrong with our own hair. And nothing's wrong with weave either. Like I said 20 times before. Weave is an accessory. It is put in and taken out. But I guess you don't wear earrings, bracelets, or have more than one pair of shoes either. Why does it even matter if black, white or whatever women wear weave more?

The reasonings and analogies of some of these woman are so ridiculous its funny.:lol::lol:

are u speakin for all women?

LOL

Are YOU speaking for all women?

I saw one of your posts where you said you were 19. Believe me, when I was in my teens I had all kinds of beliefs that I no longer have (women who wear weaves are fronting/have no hair/want to be European, European Christianity being the truth, not having sex before marriage, etc.). But you grow up and figure out that you have to do you and quit trying to force your beliefs on everybody else

The particular "style" of eyewear is chosen based on fashion, not necessity. And, I guess women who wear contacts are "tricking" you into believng their vision is naturally perfect. Shame on them.

but the fact that many people wear glasses/contacts is because they need them. you don't need a weave.

As is their having to explain and/or justify their personal fashion choices to the likes of you.

:smh:

who said anything about justifying their fashion choice to me? i'm all for wearing what you want 'cause i sure do.

what makes u think i haven't gone past that stage? . What makes u think i am u? wdf. Assumptions like a mofo. Studying a social science dont exactly make u naive u kno...

So u are telling me:
(women who wear weaves are fronting/have no hair/want to be European
Isn't true?.

I live in a country where american culture impacts us and even the region probably harder than ud know. Some women would walk around without a hairline b4 they handle their shit.

If to u weave is an accessory well my post are not directed to u hun

N stop tryin to sway my opinion aswell. Dont act like the age u grew up in is exactly the same time as mines u know:rolleyes:

Its BGOL, an online forum. Y cant they talk about wat the hell they want to talk about. Who are u to tell folks wat is a substantial issue, which is gonna b subjective to each individual. To him a substantial issue to him could be the fact that women allow their hair to eat out(fall out) and weaken in order to follow fads and fashion. To him it could be the lvl of fakeness that is promoted in todays society including both hair and body.

And wats the ratio of black women wearing weave to white women huh?

  Slow down buddy... I gave my OPINION just like he did. I never said he couldn't post about weave! I shared my views on what I think are substantial issues within the african american female pop., once again in my OPINION, that are more important that WEAVE. For some people wearing weave isn't considered following fad or fashion, and since you seem to have such a thirst for knowledge on the subject; do your own research...

Well personally, I cannot stand weaves/extensions because I do not like fake things on people. This also includes make-up, the finger nails, and so forth. I understand that every female is not happy with the way their hair's appearance, but it is much more attractive, and respectful, from my point of view if a female I am interested is natural.

Also, I like to play with my female friends' hair if we are relaxing and tracks DO NOT FEEL GOOD. and that is not homo.....

They need "vision correction. They don't need contacts or fashionable eyeglasses.

Women do need hair (generally speaking). How they choose to fashion it or accesorize it is a matter of taste, comfort and convenience (as with vision correction).

I dated a girl for three years and only saw her real hair once. It wasn't a good like I'm afraid. I still have love for her though, so I'm not a complete asshole. I honestly don't mind a woman who wears a weave. Some women just use it to enhance what they already have. I don't like big, crazy ass weaves that look like they took a team of beauticians a week and a half to plan and construct. Worse than that are the weaves done by "what's her name with no real formal cosmetology training who does hair in her kitchen." I think the finest chick I've ever met (or at least one of the finest) had a cut almost closer than mine. It made her stand out plus she had a real cool demeanor.
