Re: Winter is Coming- Game of Thrones s3 & s4 *spoilers*(TV fans & readers only upto

All I want to know is how Tommen gonna get his?
the way Margery been turning Tommen out, I bet that he'll make sure to get the girl out before he gets his mom out...

I think he is like 8 in the books! Daeny is like 16.

 8 yrs old getting seasoned pussy? My man!

actually I'm suprised none of these self righteous journalists are not talking about child rape here.

Re: Winter is Coming- Game of Thrones s3 & s4 *spoilers*(TV fans & readers only upto

Yeah they clearly just said fuck the book. I'm actually glad they didn't stick to the book with Theon. He was more annoying in the book with that "Reek rhymes with...." bullshit. I have a feeling Jon Snow won't die for a couple of reasons.... Martin hinted that people that die in the book don't have to necessarily die in the show. And also, I don't think he will die because they have been making it look like he will all season, and we all know that this show has mastered making us believe something is gonna happen....and the opposite occurs.

I'm glad they got rid of the Quentin Martell and the Ironborn storylines from the book. They made them drag.

Re: Winter is Coming- Game of Thrones s3 & s4 *spoilers*(TV fans & readers only upto

I don't feel like going to read the book but didn't Stannis die on the way to the Boltons or did they kill him, I can't remember.

Stannis is alive and well..

Naw, he is alive as far as we know. What I hate about the books is when it looks like a character is about to die then The writer says some shit that the character steps into the darkness then couple chapters later they are alive

Re: Winter is Coming- Game of Thrones s3 & s4 *spoilers*(TV fans & readers only upto

I think Jon dies and his body gets carried off by a white walker

end season...

GRRM has been telling the writers stuff that hasn't been released yet.

Which is why I believe he released the latest Theon chapter before it gets spoiled for book readers

I'm trying my best not to read these preview chapters because it just frustrates me. But if Sansa is actually doing something interesting while still "under cover" that makes me wanna read.:angry::angry:

Re: Winter is Coming- Game of Thrones s3 & s4 *spoilers*(TV fans & readers only upto

Yeah it took 6 damn books for her to learn how to play the game.

Re: Winter is Coming- Game of Thrones s3 & s4 *spoilers*(TV fans & readers only upto

ya snow def gonna get killed this season...I think they gonna finally introduce lady stoneheart in ep 10 even tho folks are claiming otherwise...but killing jon and having her will perhaps leaves fans w/ some sense of hope that his character is not truly lost :dunno: who knows tho

Re: Winter is Coming- Game of Thrones s3 & s4 *spoilers*(TV fans & readers only upto

I think we are getting the Walk of Shame and that Mercy chapter from the book sample for the last episode....

I wouldn't say it took her six chapters, because she was kinda playing the game in the fifth book, but she definitely got the hang of it in the sample chapter though

I still haven't found the other chapters yet...The only chapter samples I read was the Alayne and the Mercy chapters.....

That would be a major surprise and doens't even make sense anymore. She was killing Freys in the book in the book and they haven't been in the show at all since the Red Wedding (except Fat Walda). They haven't done any of the exposition they did in the book to explain how she could be "alive"

Having said that, they haven't really showed how Jon would be able to survive death of his body either. Bran and the one Wildling raider are the only ones that has shown any Warging ability in the show.

Clearly, Ramsay is going to do some commando shit in the next episode. I don't see Ramsay dying yet, so that means someone else unexpected is gonna die as a result.

Martin’s explanation initially sounds like an argument against including Lady Stoneheart, but Martin then noted: “Lady Stoneheart is not Cateyln. I’ve tried to set it up beforehand with Beric Dondarrion and his repeated [resurrections]. There’s a brief appearance by Beric in Book One and he rides into the city and he’s this flamboyant Southern knight. That’s not that man we meet later on.”

That seems straight forward to me. He's saying that resurrection is not a perfect art. That you come back different (perhaps even less than) what you were before.

I think that Beric in the book even mentioned it in the show with each resurrection he loses more memories and becomes less and less of himself.

He also might mean that literally is not the same person. There was a different actor playing Beric in Season 1 than the Un Beric we saw in season 3. So that could apply to Lady Stoneheart as well I guess

Jon dying also would kind of out of place because Cersei didnt even hatch the plot to kill him. That whole story line hasn't been inserted into the show

Damn, I had forgot about that little book sub-plot. The TV show did have Roose send his boy Locke to join the Nights Watch. I always thought he would attempt to kill Jon, but he went after Bran instead. I guess they figured Jon was no threat

Having said that, Jon dying is about his own men turning on him. I never suspected any outside agent in that.

Re: Winter is Coming- Game of Thrones s3 & s4 *spoilers*(TV fans & readers only upto

Yeah I know I'm just saying that subplot would have made it better because you think the blade is coming from Locke but it comes from his men. However the last straw that made his men turn their backs was him deciding to ride to Winterfell to confront Ramsay because Ramsay sent the letter saying he had killed Stannis and Mance. Jon thinks he's going to save Arya. In the show Ramsay isn't even paying Jon any attention. Mance is dead. And the bone dude Melisandre used to impersonate him....isn't even at the wall as we seen yesterday on the show.

Don't forget there was the whole bit about Jon and Tormund coming up with a new plan which we didn't get to see on page.

"I think we had best change the plan," Jon Snow said.

They talked for the best part of two hours.

The decision to go to Winterfell was a very public announcement. For all we know that might have been a smoke screen for what the "real plan" was.

Re: Winter is Coming- Game of Thrones s3 & s4 *spoilers*(TV fans & readers only upto

my guess is the last episode will be
the penance walk, plus the setup for trial by combat
Drogon returns / assassination attempt on Dani with a different twist
Jon narrowly survives an assassination attempt or dies
and we are given a peek of what Bran has been up to.

Re: Winter is Coming- Game of Thrones s3 & s4 *spoilers*(TV fans & readers only upto

Hey book readers I have two questions for anybody that care to answer

(1) What is the White Walkers ultimate goal? Once you kill all the living and turn them into whights, what's left for them to do?

(2) Can White Walkers be killed by their own sword? I was curious why Jon didn't pick up the crystal sword and take it with him.

1.We don't really know, because there hasn't been that much info on them....Hell,the info we do got is from old books passed down through history....but I suspect we will get more info on them in the upcoming book, whenever it comes out...

2.Have no idea,if they can get killed by their own swords....Also,that scene on the show, isn't in the book

Co sign. We know far more about the white walkers via the show than we do the books at this point.

Why do y'all keep saying that Jon Snow is dead? In the book, it says he passes out.

I know GRRM loves killing folks off left and right, but clearly, there are 3 characters that have to make it to Book 7 - Dany, Tyrion, and Jon Snow.

Jon is not dead.

I don't think most people assume he's dead, but that he will "DIE" in one sense or another because it makes sense from what we know about warging, second life, the need for jon to get released from his vows, and the various prophecies. The author went to a lot of trouble to show us how someone could die and live again to not use that facility for one of the main characters in the show.

In general with GRRM, it's better to assume someone's NOT dead unless you see that characters clearly recognizable head separated from their clearly recognizable body.

In that sense, only people who are for sure dead are Ned, Robb and (maybe) Oberyn Martel. I wouldn't put it past Cersei to zombify Geoffrey and Tywin if Qyburn can perfect his necromancy.

Well getting stabbed by multiple folks at the same time usually means the character died. Especially when they say it's cold. So it's more than logical to assume he's dead.

When Jon is on his way to inform Queen Selyse, he hears the giant Wun Wun roar and a man scream. When he arrives, a bleeding Wun Wun is smashing dead Ser Patrek against a tower wall. Jon tries to calm the people who come running, when Wick Wittlestick slashes at Jon's throat with a dagger, just barely grazing him. While Jon is still trying to understand, Bowen Marsh and others plant daggers in him, all of them saying, "For the Watch." By the time the fourth dagger slashes him, Jon passes out.

Listen, I know GRRM loves killing folks off, but there is NO WAY Jon Snow is dead. He is invovled in too many unanswered storylines to be dead.
