Once Bottoms started that press conference concerning Rayshard Brooks' MURDER by APD last year with Black Crime statistics,
And made sure everyone knew the perps were Black Males,
I knew she would be DONE!
It was like Brooks' murder became an afterthought.
And now that cop may end up getting reinstated.
Nary a peep from Bottoms.
Bottoms sealed her own fate.
Just like Lori Lightfoot in Chicago is going to end up doing.

And these are mostly friends and former co-workers who moved/transferred.
That's the sense they've gotten.

Though for Me personally,
It's more how both Mayors have handled/not handled situations involving their respective Black Communities concerns.

She put her career on the line to fire that cop. I always thought it was a thin case. The smart move was to give that CAC his due process. BUT shit was out of control that summer. She likely saved lives by avoiding mass rioting. And now folks want to say she doesn't care about Black people.
