What I pointed out is that many of those abuses were actually legal before democrats targeted some of these systemic problems and made them illegal. The GOP is now targeting rollback of those protections that a long list of studies prove help black people get better treatment in the financial system.
Their targeting Affirmative Action now as "unconstitutional" that's why I pointed out the warpath they're taking on the judicial branch to turn in right-wing.
You give them full control (which they would get if we sit out elections), they'll rule things like AA (and a host of other laws, practices, etc that look to offset the damage that institutional racism has done and is doing) as unconstitutional. Yes, you will be rolling back to the past. You'll get Jim Crow... you just won't have the German Shepards on you in the streets.

Whenever you point out conservative judges on the supreme court being appointed - or - the federal conservative judges being appointed across the country, which will further take away their rights, they don't answer you. You notice that?
They don't understand what those judges are there for or what they "actually do". You are talking to people who fundamentally don't understand how the government works or how these appointments effect them.
