i live on the west side of the city,i don't think ive seen 5 interracial couples around this area in 5 yrs.
if you go to the downtown core like in most large cities,you will most likely see Interracial couples.
If we have to start splitting hairs and marking degrees of blackness, then we're all screwed. Very few pics of the members I've seen, or black porn stars that are lusted over look like they came straight from the motherland. And no not all of these folx "have indian in their family." I realize there are tribes in Africa where there are lighter blacks, but I don't think that is the source of our varied skin hues here in America. Racist white folx (and white folx in general) don't care about degrees. They don't even care if they get your race right. If you aren't white, you are "other". Period.
I don't care one way or another who dates out as long as they are not using sorry black men/sorry black women as the excuse to do it. Number wise, black women out number black men. Many black men, at least from what I've read on here, do not want to get married or want to get married much later in life. They can produce children at any age. Women have a time limit on reproduction. So if a black woman wants a traditional marriage family situation, she may have to expand her options to other racial groups. That doesn't necessarily mean a white man, but the numbers don't support every black woman getting a black man. Especially once you add in incarceration, homosexuality, social compatibility and men who just flat out hate black women. I'm sorry, they don't totally hate us, the lust is there, they (many? some?) just don't see us a viable relationship material. At least if you go by the most vocal here on BGOL.
And before some man tells the the social compatibility is being elitist/stuck up, or a white mindset, send me the pic of your taking your favorite hoodrat to the family reunion and introducing her to your mom. 
It's been said that I'm actively open to dating white men. Yes and no. A white man is not my preference, but if things worked out to where I made a connection with one, I wouldn't necessarily turn him down on race alone. It would not be a relationship I entered into lightly tho. Couples have enough obstacles without adding in the IR mix. And I wouldn't view it as a "step up". I'm also not going to look down on another black women or tell her that she has to be lonely, single and childless or a single mother in order to keep the race pure. It's not pure to begin with. No one is out here telling these black men that they have to keep the race pure, why are we the only ones who are supposed to guard the race?
