i have a MacBook Pro

how do i
do
this

please talk slow

Not bad.

What are the specs on your system and how well does it run while you're running itunes, firefox, safari, chrome, vlc, adobe products while switching in and out between multiple desktop views?

My machine is going on four years and I'd like a new one but the machine still does what I need it to do plus they haven't come out with anything that makes me want to give up my black macbook.

but im curious, why would someone want or need to run another OS if they have a Mac?

I was thinking the same thing. I've never felt the need to run windows on my machine, and at this point my macbookpro is only 4 months old, the most I'd do is upgrade the memory for good measure :dunno:

Mac Pro, quad core, 12GB RAM

iTunes is running.. I can also have Chrome OS in a VM, I can also have photoshop, Aperture and anything else I want running.. and share files between them. No lag whatsoever.

It just works.

i really don't get this vs. thing...

*edit* not sure if you can run them side by side like that, but doesn't any reason one would have to do so score a point on the pc/windows side of the board?

they're cute though.

windows has way more software, right?

i believe that is the sole reason

when i owned a mac, a lot of shit wasnt available for it back in the day

I rarely ever have a need to open Windows 7.. only reason I installed it because I can. However, today I found a NEED to use Windows 7. I wanted to create a portable Virtual Appliance (basically a VM with pre-loaded software that I can give to anyone and they can run it using VMWare Player). Well, you have to use a VMWare Converter to convert your VM to that format and the software only runs in Linux or Windows, so I downloaded with Windows version and installed it in my Windows 7 VM.

:lol: I have it set to not save any changes once I close the VM.. so it's like a fresh OS every time I open it.. no viruses, no malware, etc. Does that count for something?

some graphic applications like Corel Draw X4 wont work on a Mac.

I use Parallels for make the Windows side work. NO issues. In fact, Windows fails LESS when under the MAC OS...

Mac FTW.

What I want to know is do you have a program that tunes out the 15% of the irrelevant muhfuhkahs on BGOL? We are capable of having some great convo up in here, but then you get thgese kids that should be doing their homework and other dudes that are too poor to even think about buying anything that spoil it with dumb shit and get us off subject...

This muthafucka Divine should get a commission check if I take the plunge.

Couldn't I just buy a PC with the same specs and put the MAC OS on it?

yes. yes you can. and probably save upwards of a stack. the drawback is that you may have to do some bios adjustmennts, instructions for which are all over the place. last i checked though, it's 'almost as easy as installing snow leopard on a mac'...

macs are nice computers though.
